Unfortuntly this happened in California where instead of building more jails to deal with over crowded they passed laws to let out non-violent offender (though don't you think getting behind the wheel drunk is a little violent). Though there is a mis-conception that its only celebrities that get off easy when it is anyone unfortuntly. Can't we have a one strike and you lose your license law. Paris would of never had any jail time if she hadn't broken her probabtion and her sentenced was reduced from 45 to 23 days.
