Members aMLCproduction
Wow, Everyone has a right to their opinion. I like LML's version of Y&R. To me it's entertaining. Why is that disturbing? Different strokes for different folks
Members Khan
We can sit and argue Y&R's current state all we want; but for whatever reason, it remains the top-rated soap, so it must be pleasing a lot of people. It's not pleasing me, but no show operates solely for one viewer's benefit, now does it?
Members Sylph
But it's not one viewer. Hopefully, something will be done soon, I don't want a situation like the one over at ATWT - they let the show slip from 2.8-2.7 to 2.1 in such a short period! Members Khan
I agree, Sylph. Something should be done to arrest Y&R's shocking decline. (And when I say "something," I mean, "show Ms. Latham and her minions the door.") But will anything be done? Not until Y&R slips, and slips badly, in the ratings. And even then, there's no guarantee the changes will be to everyone's liking. As anyone who witnessed the decline and fall of ANOTHER WORLD, EDGE OF NIGHT, SANTA BARBARA, and about a half-dozen other (now-defunct) soaps can tell you, once a soap really starts to slide, it's almost impossible to stop it from sliding into oblivion. Members Sylph
I know exactly of what you speak, and you're right. Somehow, the only thing left in Pandora's box was hope and I just can't stop hoping something will be done.
Members LiasonAgent007
Exactly...I don't hate LML. I happen to find Y&R pretty damn good right now. So I think its unfair to say that its disturbing that someone would love the current writer of a show
Members RuAsRuAnAu
I used to love LML on Y&R, not anymore. I still believe she's a very capable writer who's either become burnt out or lazy. Case in point: Knots Landing, Homefront, Y&R in 2006.
Members Sylph
That's the fastest burning-out I witnessed.
Members RuAsRuAnAu
Does TVG-C think Y&R is still the worst?
