TC said they're not stopping Novak's tourney.

Thiem was tested and came back negative. TC mentioned him. I wish they'd keep up with news as it was reported that he had already been tested.

Coric just played him yesterday when Grigor was feeling I'll and they hugged and shook hands. He also shook the umpire hand.

Update Novak's tourney canceled.

People have tested negative before testing positive.  There's a reason why there is a two week quarantine because that is the general amount of time that a virus can incubate in the body before presenting any symptoms or presence. Thiem needs to quarantine for the safety of anyone who might otherwise come into contact with him.  These guys all behaved so irresponsibly.

It's been a week so Thiem should quarantine for a week. I just don't get why Grigor left LA to go all the way to Serbia. I am worried for Borna who shook his hand yesterday when Grigor was already having symptoms.

TC just said Thiem was tested again today and came back negative.

And tournament directors who is his brother and him made a statement saying they followed guidelines....lol

Sorry for laughing but Novak is full of [!@#$%^&*].

IMO this was about him and how great he is for doing these tournaments. Why did he cry during his tournament? He is so consumed by being loved more than Roger.

as @Faulkner said his family isn't helping him. His father going off at Roger and the Aussie fans for rooting for Thiem and not his son.

I’m not into celebrity worship, because we don’t know any of these people personally, but I’m still a fan of Novak’s game. I love his tenacity on court, his relentlessness, his problem solving and intelligence. How he silences his detractors by just winning. And I was inclined to root for him early on because the media always laid it on so thick to prop up Federer and to a lesser extent Nadal. He clearly has fans (which has helped make him an extraordinarily wealthy man with sponsorships), and I can understand why Nolefam can appear to be a bit aggressive considering how his exceptional career achievements have often been downplayed.

That said...

These past few months have been bone-headed decision after bone-headed decision from Novak and the people around him. The fact he lives in his own bubble only becomes clearer and clearer. I can see why he chooses to insulate himself from the media, but he’s very out of touch with reality. That Serbia hadn’t been as adversely affected by COVID doesn’t mean you can just throw an international exhibition with unmasked fans packed into stands and players hugging each other. It only takes one asymptomatic positive person to cause a spike in infection. It’s just common sense at this point.

Dimitrov coach and Novak's trainer has it too. Who is Dimitrov coach? And Novak refused to take test because he felt no symptoms. This idiot could have it and be spreading it to others. lawd

The shoulders and sleeves are too tight. He'd benefit from a larger size. The yellow arrows show where the shoulder cut should actually be placed in my opinion. I don't mind the granpa fashion per se, I just have an OCD with sizes LOL
    • Today May 11, 2025, Pope Leo briefly addressed the crowd in the square.  He sang the prayer to Mary and then said:   Dear brothers and sisters, The immense tragedy of the Second World War ended eighty years ago, on 8 May, after having claimed sixty million victims. In today’s dramatic scenario of a piecemeal third world war, as Pope Francis stated many times, I too address the world’s leaders, repeating the ever-timely appeal: “Never again war!”. I carry in my heart the sufferings of the beloved Ukrainian people. May everything possible be done to reach an authentic, just and lasting peace, as soon as possible. Let all the prisoners be freed and the children return to their own families. I am deeply saddened by what is happening in the Gaza Strip: may there be an immediate ceasefire! Let humanitarian aid be provided to the stricken civil population, and let all the hostages be freed. On the other hand, I have welcomed with satisfaction the announcement of the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, and I hope that through the upcoming negotiations, a lasting accord may be reached soon. https://www.vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/en/angelus/2025/documents/20250511-regina-caeli.html
    • Lol! I'm quite sure it would.
    • But that is pretty much situation normal for all soaps. They do not tend to continue to show things like surgical scars. They also play fast & loose with hospital procedures.
    • re: prior two posts about Trump's new opulent plane contrasted with utter starvation in Gaza... Trump and Netanyahu are giving "Let them eat cake".  And it's horrific. In 2013, Pope Francis removed a bishop from running the Limburg Germany diocese because he was constructing an opulent 31-million-euro building. This is from Reuters obit of Francis: https://www.reuters.com/world/obituary-pope-francis-shook-up-church-with-simplicity-raising-conservative-ire-2025-04-21/ From the start, Francis sent clear signals to priests and bishops about the type of Church he wanted. He said there was no room for "careerists or social climbers" among the clergy, told cardinals they should not live "like princes," and said the Church should not "dissect theology" in lush salons while there were poor people around the corner. "If investments in banks fall, it is a tragedy and people say 'what are we going to do?' but if people die of hunger, have nothing to eat or suffer from poor health, that's nothing. This is our crisis today. A Church that is poor and for the poor has to fight this mentality," he said early in his papacy. -- Pope Francis stood up for the poor, the unhoused, the migrants of all faiths.  He lived simply and ordered that when he died, that he wished to be interred in a simple wooden coffin. I sincerely hope that the new pope Leo will follow Francis' example.
    • Co Sign!!!!   I have been watching the show regularly over the last few weeks and am pleasantly surprised by how much easier it is to watch each day. This definitely is confirmation for me that Paula and Jeanne wrote the stroke episodes, cause I felt the same way watching those. Could be more exciting for sure, but interactions now make more sense and everything seems to be a bit more character driven which is great. I will add though, there are still about 10 or so characters i'd love to see gone, and hope a few will exit in the future! Otherwise, happy with the changes so far.
    • Sean Freeman looks good in anything. Would not change one thing. Arielle Prepetit looking cute.
