Just awful.....glad Thiem walked off and pretty much told them [!@#$%^&*] you......Serena is getting trashed and so is the organizers of the FO. And I am so glad. I'd love to see Thiem win it all and then not give them an interview after the tourney is over....

And do get me started on TC showing GM match over Thiem's. The disrespect from the tennis media for Thiem is just awful. They only cater to their pets.

I noticed NBC didn't even mention the incident in its coverage today and I am sure TC will bypass it too. I am sure if Thiem had been the one who forced someone out....it would be news....

You are happy with Serena getting dragged even tho she was willing to take a smaller room but FO wanted her in a bigger room to acomoodate more reporters?  How is that Serena's fault?

Reports are that Serena said she wasn't going to wait. To which the organizers said ok and booted Thiem out of the press room to a smaller one to which Thiem felt that he was being treated like [!@#$%^&*] and walked out of the press room and gave no interview. Serena could've waited for the press room to be available but she didn't.

And what's this love the tennis media have over Monfils?  Has he accomplished something on clay to deserve this love? Has he beaten Nadal on clay??

Again, I ask...how is that Serena's fault?

And [!@#$%^&*] Thiem being upset.  Not as many reporters want to talk to him so he has to move.  FO should have canceled Serena if she didn't want to wait but they chose not to.  It's not her fault that they chose a legend with 23 slams over someone who has none!

And you're acting like every tennis media outlet .....[!@#$%^&*] everyone else its Serena.....glad she is once again getting trashed. And I hope she retires soon....she looks slow as hell.....glad she lost. She is a sore loser.

Folks with an agenda have no challenges with Rothenberg and his ilk lying or twisting the truth for clicks.  Too bad there are so many Serena haters willing to go for anything.

And as hated as she....Mary Carillo is the best damn tennis broadcaster. John McEnroe and Paul Annacone are clueless. As @Faulkner mentioned the only reason Paul has been successful in coaching is because of who he has coached. Give him an average robotic American and he isn't much of a coach.

Wawrinka and Tsitsipas are playing some damn good tennis!  Stef is a little punk but it's incredible to watch him play.  He should have gotten a point penalty (but that's reserved for Serena).

It's a really good match.  Best of the tourny, IMHO.  I'm going to be getting rid of cable next week so I will have no TC either

Stan up 2 sets to 1.

NBC’s tiny little coverage window makes me wonder why they bother.

Stan and Stef are going to pummel each other. Meanwhile, their next opponent Rog has barely broken a sweat.

Stefanos is absolutely caked in dirt.

I get that tennis scheduling isn’t an exact science, but RG should have anticipated that Kei and Benoit wouldn’t finish today.

Stefanos and these BPs.

Oy. Stefanos. Can’t go out like this.

The Stefanos forehand really collapsed in those last few games. Incredible last point from Stan.

Wawrinka has beaten Fed on clay a few times, including his 2015 title run, but not sure how much this marathon match will linger on his body.

    • No.  I recall there was also a mention about how distracting it was EOB's Gwen wasn't wearing nail polish as well.  That it was someone's pet peeve. And, yes, the fact characters can have a manicure in prison is the wildest continuity issue here.
    • Can anyone remember Mary Ellen Stuart's run as Jenny? I'm trying to fill in the cracks for missing stuff that we overlooked.  Bulletpoints:  * Dated Ross * Rusty's police partner * Directly responsible for Dinah coming forward about George Stewart (Cam's father)
    • But that's not weird... nail polish is allowed in prisons via commissary. Same with general makeup, haircuts, and hair colouring products.
    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton twirling his invisible moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?

    • Thanks for asking that!  Back when we had another major event upcoming (a party or the concert), I had intended to ask what everyone here was planning to wear.
