Members DramatistDreamer
I don't know what to make of this pairing with Hewitt and Peers, except Hewitt is still getting broken, I see. The Bryans have been a bit vulnerable lately, but you still need a solid doubles pair if you're going to beat them. I imagine that the Bryans will win in straight sets.
Members Soapsuds
TC is great minus the bozo that is Gimelstob. He is just horrendous as a commentator.
Members DramatistDreamer
Did the Aussies actually take a set? I switched to a Watson vs. Woz match in Monterrey, Mexico.
Members Soapsuds
Yes they did….Hewitt keeps yelling come on…come on…...
Members DramatistDreamer
Oh no, not the duck hand gesture. The Bryans have been vulnerable but at some point they're going to remember that they're the better team, right?
Members Soapsuds
Its ridiculous they are letting 80 year old Hewitt back in this match. Hewitt's game has come and gone and he hasn't been relevant in tennis for many many years. I am tired of seeing Gramps Hewitt playing a match that he doesn't have the game to win only to boost his ego. Its been noted by Tennis Channel commentators how he wasn't popular in the lock room or the press room.
Members DramatistDreamer
I was falling asleep trying to watch the Bryans close out that match! Can't believe they let it get to a 5th set!
Members Soapsuds
The Americans had triple match point after Hewitt double faulted…would have loved them to win it then but didn't happen. Americans still won and I am sure Hewitt's ego was still high due to the fact that they almost won. He needs to stay retired.
Members DramatistDreamer
I agree. For that reason alone, Kyrgios needs to stay healthy. God, I'm going to bed, watching the end of that match was like a sedative for me. Maybe I'm just tired.
Members DramatistDreamer
Sharapova is due to make some sort of announcement tomorrow (Monday) and there is all kinds of speculation as to what that will be.
Members Soapsuds
I saw that and I have a feeling she is going to retire from tennis.
Members DramatistDreamer
That has been one theory that has been bandied about online. I know one thing for sure, it ain't gonna be about Sugarpova (lol)! I read one comment online where someone called Sharapova "that screaming Muppet" and said that she knew that "that screaming Muppet is just waiting for Serena to retire so that she can come right back out of retirement". I have to admit, part of me thought that comment was kinda of mean, considering the circumstances but the other part of me was laughing too hard to care. Members Soapsuds
She's had so many injuries lately. There isn't any other thing that comes to mind considering its a major announcement. She's got tons of money already and I am sure she will still make a lot doing magazine ads and such.
