There sure is and he is a corrupt judge. It's hilarious

Lindsey once again leading, which is no surprise. I am kind of shocked that Galen and Emily are that high. They have been off alot lately. Heidi was off for a bit too but now she is frontburner again. I like seeing Juliet so high up for June. I wish she was higher overall. Great to see Ben getting so much airtime too.

I think Lindsay's awesome, but she's been shown too much this year. I've become tired of Theresa always on the screen. 5 episodes missing over 6 months?

Emily was in all the episodes from January to end of February. Galen was in a lot, too, until May when the prison plotline began. So, even though they may have been off over the past week, they were so far ahead of everyone that there's still a huge gap. Eric was lagging until 3 months ago, but now he's on just as much as Lindsay.

Thanks, Jason!

I love Lindsey too and she is long overdue for a break. Passions will never do it though.

It's wrong but the show relies on her. It used to rely on Galen and Mac but now I don't think it does. I think alot of it is Lindsey. They basically trained many fans to watch her day in and day out. Passions used to have better balance when it first started but the last few years it's the same characters over and over only now Emily gets the same amount of episodes that Mac used to get.

It's weird to see how Passions has the same people day in and day out. There are also times when people go missing for months on end. Silvana was missing for a long time until last year with Vendetta. I wish they would alternate characters but when they only have 3-4 main stories they can't. They also have a small main cast so I no longer expect the balance to be good. It will be the same every month. Lindsey, Emily, Galen, and maybe Mac will be up there and the rest will vary at times between Heidi, Brook, and Adrian (ugh).

Oh, I agree, but Lindsay was not in as many episodes at this point in 2006. She had been in 109 out of 128 episodes, which I think is much better than 124/129. It was like that in prior years, too. I've read a lot of message boards lately, and it seems like Theresa's been getting on the nerves of even those who are fans. I think that the increase in screentime plays a part in this feeling, especially since Theresa's spark seems to be gone and she's like a sitting duck.

It's funny, though, how the Top 3 in 2006 by the end of June is the same:

Your right nassaunew but didn't Lindsey end up with just as obscene a number in episode counts at the end of the year?

The last 3 years her episode count has been enormous. I love the girl and even I am getting annoyed seeing her every day. This story with Theresa being blackmailed is just like the EJ/Sami story earlier this year. Sami lost her spark with that story too because she was always weeping and going on and on about the secret. Same goes for Theresa. Both stories went overboard making the characters into victims and the characters began to become grating despite the effort of both actresses.

I hope this story ends soon because I am missing the fighting Theresa I love so much.

Yep, Lindsay/Theresa ended up in a lot of episodes...233/254, but even so it was more balanced than it's been this year. If not for the move to DirecTV, at this pace I think that Lindsay Theresa probably would be featured in all but 10 episodes this year and make a soap opera record (number of episodes featured a year). Fewer episodes will be shown on DirecTV, but she'll probably still be in as many episodes percentage-wise.

Eric actually was number 1 in 2005. He beat Lindsay by 1 episode. Eric was in 224/254 episodes:

Re: Theresa losing her spark yet still being featured so much

I think this is what annoyed people about Sheridan so much. There was a time when she was on screen more than Theresa, and it was always crying and being in danger. It caused a lot of viewers to grow tired of the character, and I think the same is happening with Theresa. Lindsay usually brings it, though, so that's the difference from how Mckenzie was before she went on maternity leave.

    • Yes, that's the way it went, the dramatic beats, the increased info dropped. Actually, his being Janice's son was such clever writing, at least IMO.  Yes, I was of this same impression. Both were charming but the first ... more layered maybe? More complex? The second maybe less sophisticated.
    • His original motives were unclear and all we knew was that he was working for Iris. But when it was revealed that Evan was Janice's son we found out that he had fallen in with Iris not because he wanted to follow Iris specifically but because he had his own anti-Rachel agenda. Charles Grant had more charisma than the later recast Eric Scott Woods who seemed younger to me.
    • Throwing this out to the universe: finding Elisabeth Shue's episode of As the World Turns (which I guess would have been circa 1983, maybe just before RDJ started watching Search for Tomorrow).

    • I thought today was still good. Leo is always awful, but the characters treating him like he's a plague feeds my soul. Rafe in particular had been very passive about him, but today was wonderful seeing him put Leo on notice. I really think it's being written that Javi is going to have to eventually take the blinders off and see Leo for who he really is. Them having sex on Gabi's desk made me want to explode. Roman taking in stray Doug was nice to see. And the mention of Frankie and Max was unexpected, but good to know they're at least being thought of. Tate being petty and a bit vindictive by going back to Sophia's as soon as he saw Doug with Holly was entertaining for me. I think I actually like Tate the most out of all of them because he's so damn messy.  Is Holly about to be kidnapped? Her first time? Also, Gabi finally revealing what happened with her the night EJ was shot and the clearing of all the other main suspects, but Johnny made this still feel like an important episode. I think Johnny will be cleared soon enough leaving everybody at a loss for the hell shot EJ. How the real shooter will be revealed is going to be interesting.  Speculation: When Kristen finally puts together that her daughter Rachel shot him, she'll agree to frame her mother for the crime, while keeping her hidden away from Salem.
    • That would have saved the Anita singing segment -- having her by herself, singing quietly and reflectively. Belting it out like she was in church did not work. The black screens fade at the end was a mistake. BTG insists on being different with these fades for the sake of being different, and it's not working.   I thought all of that was just fine. Worked for me.   I'm going to disagree with this. Martin hasn't had many scenes with his parents, but he's been around family A LOT -- and that's what matters. We also know Martin is someone with a hair trigger response. He can be very emotional when discussing an issue before getting to the logic and reason of it all.
    • My view of Evan is that he's smart but not as smart as he thinks he is, not a good guy but not an entirely bad guy - he's a lot of things, the show never quite knowing what to do with them. I never saw him as Iris' follower because Iris always seemed a bit in over her head from the start.
    • She was the Town Historian, who knew a bit too much about Brandon and the infamous cottage.  SF was still a pretty normal place at that time, with Nola and Reva being the most outrageous citizens....seems that Carrie Pipper would have stood out a bit more for people.

    • Yes, I need to dot hat. Also on my list talking to the person I got these files from since they clearly have a mess, in terms of dates being wrong. And, unfortunately finding one date wrong, automatically means more are wrong, too.
