I think they're pretty much on the money with most their assessments.

Two things however totally knocked me to the floor:

1. They give Y&R a very deserved C-, yet it is in recent weeks in their "Shows to watch"-section numero 1???

2. Kyle Lowder as best actor on B&B - LMAO! I'm so sorry, this is nothing but a joke.

Apart from that; I think it's pretty good.

The only thing I would have to disagree is that Babe and Jr are not the wrost love story. I think they look hot together but until McTavish messed them up! HATE THAT B!TCH! WHERE IS SHE NOW? WHO CARES!

I disagree with them on love stories for AMC....Best Love Story is hands down Zach/Kendall, not Ryan/Annie (who I find okay and tolerable at best). Worst love story is definitely not JR/Babe they have a lot of chemistry. Now if Josh/Babe and Jeff/Erica are still considered, then either one should be worst love story

Julie Pinson as worst DAYS actor is outrageous. She's done an excellent job with practically no material. Trevor Donovan is the *only* choice for that award.

I agree with most of their other picks.

AS THE WORLD TURNS — GRADE: C+

Best storyline: Carly returns (ehhh)

Worst storylines: Alison’s crystal meth/sex worker storyline; Cleo’s existence (Totally agree with this)

Best love triangle: Katie/Jack/Carly ()

Best comic relief: Brad and Henry (Neither are that funny...)

Best love story: Luke and Noah (What love story? )

Worst love stories: Craig and Meg; Paul and Meg; Emily and Dusty (I'd have to add Jack & Katie and Will & Gwen to the list)

Best acting: Maura West (Carly)

Worst acting: Scott Bryce (Craig) (What is this person smoking???

Prospective future: ATWT isn’t its usual consistent self these days, but now that Maura is back, the show should start cooking soon. (As good as Maura is, she can't save the rest of the garbage these writers are spewing out)

GUIDING LIGHT— GRADE: B

Best storyline: Tammy’s death; Jonathan and Sarah’s disappearance (Totally agree..I'd add Alan & Doris's marriage but that quickly went nowhere)

Worst storylines: Josh becomes a minister; Buzz/Olivia/Jeffrey (Among others...)

Best acting: Tom Pelphrey (ex-Jonathan); Beth Ehlers (Irna Phillips)

Worst acting: Nicole Forrester (Cassie) (Obviously, they haven't seen a lot of Michelle Ray Smith  I think Forester does the best she can with the material she's given)

Best love story: Mallet and Dinah (Meh)

Most annoying character: Ava (So why didn't MRS get worst acting again??)

Prospective future: GL started 2007 with a bang, but once again, this soap is either bloody brilliant or just plain awful. (My sentiments exactly)

The writing for Billie is horrible, but no way is JP a bad actress. And Lucas and Sami as best love story? Eh, the show doesn't have a single good love story anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter who get called the best.

On GH: Why is Steve Burton considered the best actor? I've only been watching for a little over 6 months, and I consider him on the worst on the show.

Really don't get some of the ATWT stuff....SCOTT BRYCE "worst acting"....what, are they on Hunt Block's payroll?

And the Noah/Luke "best love story", when they've been on a handfull of times? GMAB.

IF Katie/Jack/Carly is best triangle....it ain't because it's well-written, that's for sure. KACK is one of the worst examples of plot-driven "romance" in all of Daytime.

AS THE WORLD TURNS — GRADE: C+ (I'd give it a B+ but hey at least its a passing grade)

Best storyline: Carly returns (Right on the money with this one)

Worst storylines: Alison’s crystal meth/sex worker storyline; Cleo’s existence (Lol at Alison. Cleo is actually good)

Best love triangle: Katie/Jack/Carly (Definitely right on this one... :P I swear Bratie today was awesome)

Best comic relief: Brad and Henry (Brad yes...Henry not so much.)

Best love story: Luke and Noah ( When I see more scenes that actually revolve around the two of them I'll agree. Right now its looking more like Maddie and Noah are a couple)

Worst love stories: Craig and Meg; Paul and Meg; Emily and Dusty (Hes so wrong about Peg...)

Best acting: Maura West (Carly) (Yeah Baby)

Worst acting: Scott Bryce (Craig) (HUH? Even though I love Hunt Block to death Scott Bryce is doing a great job with Craig)

Prospective future: ATWT isn’t its usual consistent self these days, but now that Maura is back, the show should start cooking soon.

I couldn't agree more about ATWT's future. I think this year could be better than last. Looking forward to Katie choosing between Brad and Jack as well as Carly and her kids. Plus the teen scene is probably the best one on TV right now. And then you've got the upcoming preteens with JJ/Faith/Parker...

They're pretty much right about everything else going on on the other soaps minus a few things. I'm glad they said Cristian and Evangeline were the worst love story on OLTL. However I disagree that nuMarty is a bad casting.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS — GRADE: C-

Best storyline: Jack and Nikki's senate race

Worst storylines: Gloria marries Will; Daniel's porn addiction

Best acting: Victoria Rowell (ex-Dru)

Worst acting: Adrienne Frantz (Amber)

Best love story: Nick and Phyllis

Worst love stories: Sharon and Jack; Colleen and Adrian; Cane and Amber

Most annoying characters: Amber and Gloria

Biggest waste of talent: Eric Braeden (Victor)

Dumbest plot twist: Phillip isn't Katherine's son” Cane is.

Prospective future: Nothing will change on this show; we have to accept that this once character-driven masterpiece is now a plot-driven disappointment since headwriter Lynn Marie Latham is also the executive producer.

OUCH....yet so true. I wonder if this LML woman reads all this stuff and what she could POSSIBLY think about when she gets into the office or goes home at work. She MUST know how many people hate her Y&R. And yet nothing changes...God if she even got rid of Gloria I bet she'd get some slack. But now we're guaranteed to have GloHo on our screens for months I bet.

Best Love Story: PHICK! ^_^;):lol::wub:

Thanks for the Report Card btw.

    • It wasn't his first appearance, though; per the end credits, he is a principal guest star (a.k.a. recurring).
    • Vanessa was flirty with Smitty, and it was weird. Smitty didn't think anything about it was cute or fun. The sex talk between Cody and Vanessa at Orphey Gene's? Also weird af. We needed either a longer scene or another scene to make any of that work. Vanessa is coming off like a nymphomaniac. Forced for plot convenience, just as it was when we saw Eva (HUH???) in that casino backroom. Sorry, none of this casino stuff works. I thought the same thing -- I enjoyed all the different character groupings, but the dialogue was not natural and didn't flow. Yep, kinda weird. I don't get it. Of course, I also don't get the discussion of not having Doug as the surgeon. Is he the only doctor anyone trusts? Then we have June's entire heart procedure talked about, performed, and over within 20 minutes of screen time. -- Cady McClain gives us a different variation of that accent every time she appears. The dialogue between Pamela and Dani is too cute by half. -- BTG, please stop mentioning Martin's run for the presidency. -- I hope we're not going to see Ted soften towards Dana and be taken in by her line of bull. She just blew up his life, and I don't want to see him sympathize with her in any way.
    • Agree.  But I would describe him as being disappointed not bitter.
    • >>><<< Great minds!  Kat certainly does prove that point. She's been given a lot to work with, so we shouldn't be bored of her anytime soon. I am interested in all her storylines at the moment, and curious how the show will use the affair to impact her romances and business stories. Well, what movie was it? Cause… I noticed it too. The first couple of seconds of the song were slightly different. OMG! Great call, precisely the same situation.
    • I think Kin was dissatisfied at GH in as much as Scotty had been pushed aside for Luke/Laura and the writing was doing him no favors as Scotty was now seen as an obstacle to their romance. So with his contract up he was offered big $$$ to move to Texas, which you can't blame him for. In addition to the money, I recall he was promised that Jeb would be a more dynamic character than Scotty. The money came through but not the story, so  don't blame him for being  slightly bitter.
    • My usual video hosting site, acct: shallotpeel Video title:  1997 Daytime Emmys abridged Soaps Only 1997 Daytime Emmys Awards Presentation Show, on 5-21-1977, in New York, at Radio City Music Hall, and featuring the Rockettes, in primetime, on NBC, with special hosts Susan Lucci & Regis Philben. And, Elmo pulled a fast one on Rosie, about Oscar!!!  Regis introduced from AMC John Callahan & Eva Larue who presented for the Best Writing with nominees AMC, DAYS, GH & Y&R & it happened, a tie! So unusual & the tie was between AMC & Y&R so both of Irna's proteges gave an acceptance speech: Agnes Nixon for AMC & Bill Bell of course, for Y&R. AMC 4th win, 15 writers on their team. Y&R their 4th win with 10 writers on their team. The tie made it exciting.  Oprah Winfrey presented something I've edited out. And then she threw it to the GH show off segment.  Y&R Kristoff St. John, Victoria Rowell & Shemar Moore, presented Directing! The nominees GH, DAYS, AMC & Y&R & Y&R won it, their 6th win, Heather Hill accepting & she shouted out one of them who had passed this year. Sorry I could not catch his name.  Regis introduces Larry Haines who presents a special segment, GL 60th anniversary with a tribute to Irna Phillips. NATAS execs ATWT Jon Hensley with Martha Bryne content not shown Lucci introduces Robin Strasser & Roger Howarth both from OLTL & they present Best Actor with the nominees Y&R Peter Bergman, Y&R Eric Braeden, AMC David Canary, GL Justin Deas & GH Tony Geary where GL Justin Deas won & of course he wasn't there. Regis introduced the star of THIS show, Aretha Franklin who talked about how much she loves Y&R & specially Victor & the way he presents himself to a woman. (If Aretha says this, it must be true.) Then she threw it to the Y&R show off segment. Regis introduced  Watros, Newman & Zimmer & they presented Best Actress with the nominees AW Jensen Buchanan, GH Genie Francis, AMC Susan Lucci & Y&R Jess Walton, who proceeded to win it. 1st time. Erica Slezak made the presentation of Best Show with nominees AMC, DAYS, GH & Y&R. And getting their 5th win GH won the day. EP Wendy Riche accepting.
    • A random thought - June is related to Hayley AND Tyrell and Samantha. Hayley and June are sisters separated when young. Years later June's children Ty and Sam end up being adopted into the Dupree family, coincidentally giving Hayley a further link to that family.
    • He spoke highly of the cast but was disappointed in his lack of story.  He was not disrespectful and he has the right to express his feelings.
    • I like Nicole the most, because she's the only normal person, even if she slides into psych-analyzing speak. I like Anita--but I suspect that's more about my attachment to Tamara Tunie. I'm on the fence about Dani--but I don't see her as the underdog vs. Nicole. Dani had her a fabulous life. Nicole might not have lived in her sister's shadow, but it seems like Dani gets the attention in the family.
    • I definitely wouldn't mind seeing him again. I understand.  BUT...a start.
