He reminds me of the blonde kid in NOT ANOTHER TEEN MOVIE with the obnoxious blonde hair and pearly white teeth...only in that movie, it was on purpose.

Gross. Sick. Vom.

I'd be all for Jeremy being an anti-Horton, a sleaze, whatever. Growing up in war-ridden Israel can't be easy, you could easily get a chip on your shoulder, learning to get by whatever way you can. My problem is this guy doesn't LOOK right. It's hard enough to buy Jeremy as growing up in Israel when he's white, but blonde too? Come on now. Not saying Israelites can't be white, but the region is known for it's warmth, and this dude is pale as can be. It's really glaring and lazy, and the blonde hair doesn't help, either. Of course, they probably won't even remember that he's Jewish. He definitely looks like airforce material. No doubt! The casting for this role should have been a lot of a lot more particular, IMO. Maybe I've just had a certain image for Jeremy in my head for too long. Who knows, whatever. But this guy has a lot fo winning over to do.

This article says Jeremy has been in jail:

Trevor Donovan will begin playing the role of Jeremy Horton (Days of Our Lives) on Friday. Jeremy is Stephanie's "bad boy" beau who has been in jail. Also new to Days and appearing on Friday is Marcus Patrick, who portrays Jett Carver, the son of Abe's (James Reynolds) deceased brother Theo.

All I will say is that it's hard to feel disappointed in Jeremy when he has never been on the canvas as an adult before and we never heard anything about what he is like and so on. Does that mean I am pleased? I don't know. I have to wait and see. A sleazy Horton is an interesting concept. I like him not being a golden boy like Nick. The Horton's don't always have to be good. I like him having an edge, which could be due to his living in Israel. We'll see. I think he resembles Roark's Mike, which was expected. Corday is dealing with recent times and I knew he would model him after Roark's Mike. If Mike returns, expect it to be Roark. Whatever the case, I am interested in seeing him and Jett. Jett looks and seems good to me. I also like seeing Max involved in something finally.

I'm disapointed because of all the potential wasted here.

We had the potential for a real deep, unique to daytime character in Jeremy Horton - and we're getting a blonde with abs. I want the kid who's grown up in war torn israel, with missionary parents, who knows what matters in life (and its not stupid high rollers getting drunk on an air shuttle). I want the jewish Horton that has a brain in his head - like just about every decent fanfic writer has invisioned.

With all this said - I did notice a strong facial resemblance to Roark Critchlow. So I'm sure he'll be the Mike that comes back should they ever decide to

Seriously,Israel is not JUST war. people live their normal lives..it's tough, but that's the reality of things.

that doesnt mean that I was too hoping for a complex Horton - or character, and not this.1st stephanie, now this..what's next?

Jett is the son of Abe's brother, Theo? That young kid? Who didn't have a son when he was murdered in 1985?

Uh, okay. More history rewritten.

I'd take Darin Brooks over the two newbies.

Max Brady - he's hot!

Jeremy/Ken Doll, and Jett - no thanks!

Who was it who said Sheffer would be different from JER?

I agree with you.

Shawn Brady actually looks Jewish. In fact, I think he is Jewish in real life right?

IMO both these guys look generic though. Jett's probably not really gonna be written as a black guy).

Only on Young and the Restless do they write believable black characters from a black point of view.

I bet there will be lots of good beefcake for the summer though! :P

Yes, BUT that's not what Mike and Robin have been doing there, and Jeremy grew up around that.

I am just happy to see some flesh on the screen. The show has been so busy being crap that they have neglected to show skin.
