Yopu know, at this point, the fcat that they are back on is news enough for me. This subject of who made who write for who has been run into the ground, and I personally am going to wait to see what HS has in store with the returns this summer of some fan favorites, andto see what would happen if/when a certain EP's nose isn't in his business.

Just because I liked the show under JER doesn't mean I would eat up anything given. I always like the show but I know it can be better. I know there are issues but, compared to where it wasa year ago, the show is worlds better. Period. I would take this over the past 10 years guranteed. I want better for the show too.

It's not really you but many times (last summer in the ratings threads) before my opinions were dismissed because I am optimistic and always positive about Days. I always find something to like about the show mostly because I have watched it for over two decades. Just because I have said in the past that I liked things under JER does not mean I loved it. My God, it was horrible most of his second run. Alot of the time I just accepted it because I was convinced the show was done and was being driven into the ground. That is why I just sat back and enjoyed what I had. Now, I do see hope and I think Hogan is the right writer and he just got screwed over. I always want better. I feel we will get it soon. I already feel we are. Many times this year I got critical and bashed the show for being boring (see some episode threads in March and April). It takes alot for that to happen but it can.

No offense taken. You are one of my favorite posters too and one of the first that welcome me here a few years ago I believe. It's cool.

I believe when Nubia started this thread it was to discuss who we think is going to be let go or leave the show this year...and everyone has gotten so off course talking about Phillip and Hogan's style of writing..Lets get back on topic..

First off Days can't survive without Bo and Hope right now, they have to stay...As do John and Marlena...Steve and Kayla could probably go and it wouldn't hurt the show in to bad..But i think that would be shitty to have them just leave..SN and MBE are amazing actors and Patch and Kayla are great characters...I really want to see them continue on the show...I just want their storyline to be more interesting...I mean let us finally know what Steve did during those missing years...

Someone mentioned they heard rumors that Martha might not resign with the show...Personally, i would be very dissapointed if she left...that would throw a serious monkey wrench into the shawn, belle, phillip storyline..and it would suck for the show to lose someone as talented as Martha..So Corday you better do your best to keep her...

I mentioned a week or so ago that i thought Billie was disposable right now...I love Julie Pinson and love Billie, but her leaving the show wouldn't really be that big of a deal...

I've heard this as well. In fact, there is another rumor that a majorcouple will be written off the canvas this summer and return looking completely different. Isn't Martha getting married this summer?

Personally, I can't see Bo, Hope, John and Marlena being written out ever, as long as Days is still on the air. Besides, they are important to storyline since the DiMera's are going to be back.

Julie Pinson is a fine actress, but Billie has overstayed her welcome long ago.

And on the subject of Jay Kenneth Johnson, I don't see him staying. His return has been wasted because they had him stuck in the Shelle storyline. I was hoping for so much more for Philip's character.
