Days:Brady/Dimera feud RUMOR

Shelle are already incestous. To me, this really wouldn't lengthen it that much. A little, but they are already pretty incestous.

Shawn/Belle will be fine, IA. Although Sheffer didn't like the close relationship with Max/Chelsea or Max/Stephanie, Shawn/Belle is so firmly entrenched at this point I don't think they would disturb it. Huh. It's really the only remnant of the ill-advised SORAS-ing spree that led to Salem High. That's kind of awesome.

This sounds decent enough. To whoever upthread said it would be a bit of a letdown- I think anything is going to be a letdown at this point, but something like this could play out interestingly enough to make it work. My only problem with it is that it would probably mean airtime for Shawn Sr. and I hate Shawn Sr. I could so go for a deathbed confession, though.

Sorry folks, but just because Stefano thinks John is Shawn's doesn't mean he is. The rumor never states such. Overall, I think this rumor rocks and would be perfect, but do not make John a Brady. It's way too messy.

Am I the only one thinking this rumor means John is the son of Stefano. The way the rumor is worded it seems as if the pregnancy comes after Shawn, Sr. has left. I'm guessing that John is the son of Daphne and Stefano and his mother gave him to Philomena to keep him safe from Stefano. That could lead to many storyline possibilites from the elder cast to Shawn and Belle. Consider the fact that John and Belle have DiMera blood running through their veins. What will Marlena feel? What will the Brady's feel about them considering they thought of John as a son for many years? What will Shawn think of the fact that his child is part DiMera..... the very family his family has vowed to hate? Could be good if that is the way they go with this. Much more interesting than making John the son of Shawn, Sr. in my opinion.

Exactly my point, Terri. Though, I think she became pregnant while Shawn was around, leading Stefano to BELIEVE the child would be Shawn's, leading Daphne to flee to her sister Philomena. It really has a classic feel to it. And if DAYs doesn't do it, who wants to bet a blog or five does?

But this makes John older than Roman, which I'm not sure even *looks* remotely possible. But with all the rewrites John's history has had to accomodate bringing Wayne Northrop back as Roman in the early 1990s, I'm never entirely sure exactly what's cannon in his history and what's not. Add to this that Tony wasn't Stefano's bio-son until JER rewrote it in the early 1990s (I'm not even sure it was ever explained on screen that Tony had found out that Stefano really was his father or not). Of course, I never really bought that Lawrence was older than John, either.

I actually really like this rumor and it makes sense. I would love it if John is a DiMera. He has been everyone else, why not a DiMera? Hell before you know it, he could be a Quartermaine.

The only thing that was ever said was some quick line by Tony. He referenced a time when a woman made up lies that he was not Stefano's son. And that was our explanation.

I don't think it would have worked out as well when Tony and Stefano returned under JER if Stefano had not been Tony's real father, but it was a pretty lame rewrite of history for sure.

I loathed the Tony as a DiMera rewrite. It turned Tony into a character he wasn't under JER's pen.
