April 5, 200718 yr Member Is there something about the last week of March? Last year most soaps dropped as well? 2006 ATWT/Y&R stayed flat B&B 3.3/11 (-.1) GH 2.8/9 (-.2) AMC 2.5/9 (-.2) OLTL 2.5/9 (-.2) DAYS 2.4/8 (-.4) GL 2.3/7 (+.1) PSNS 1.4/5 (-.3)
April 5, 200718 yr Member A 2.3 gets you in the top 4. That's INSANE! Sadly, I don't think we've seen the worst of it.
April 5, 200718 yr Member winterguy, I think you could interpret ATWT's ratings in more than one way. The way I see it is that fans tuned in on Wednesday hoping for more Lucinda and Lily and got all teens so less people were inclined to watch on Thursday and Friday thinking it was going to be all teens.
April 5, 200718 yr Member I guess we are living in the last days of the soap opera as we know it. Who wants to make a documentary??
April 5, 200718 yr Member Wow! Trassions is doing alot better than I thought it would. I just knew the show would be at a 0.09 by this time... Keep up the great work, Reilly! BTW, at what point are ratings so low that they don't register? TIA!
April 5, 200718 yr Member Considering the way almost all the soaps are free-falling in numbers, is it possible that Neilsen implemented some sort of internal/algorhythmic change a couple of months back?
April 5, 200718 yr Member Alot of things could have to do with Spring Break maybe, plus also March Madness in some parts of the country may still be taking its toll. And Roger I agree with you that might also be another good reason of what may have happened with ATWT between Wednesday and Friday.
April 5, 200718 yr Member B&B was the only soap not to go down: who would have thought it? Y&R getting 3.9? OMFG DAYS on 2.1 - Corday's latest campaign to save the show can't come soon enough. It's a sad day for the daytime soap genre.
April 5, 200718 yr Member Women 18-34 Rating 1. Y&R 1.4/9 (-.1/-.3) 2. DAYS 1.3/9 (+.1/-.4) Oooh, so close for DAYS.

B&B uses the same characters, recycling the same stories, but it works for them. i guess as long as the characters the audience knows and loves are still there, people will watch. other shows should probably take a lesson.
