Um, no...because now you see why I'm rightfully paranoid and take the necessary precautions. I'm not confusing. That's open and shut. Bailiff: next!

Ok! Ok!

I didn't mean to offend or cause any trouble......

A little more info I found...

Although the movie was filmed 2 years ago, it is not on DVD yet. It played the Gay film festivals in 2005 but it was never released theatrically until now. The movie premieres at the Regent Showcase on March 30, 2007 and in NYC in April. Hopefully it follows on DVD soon after.

Ot, R!ck, but I  Regina Spektor from the little I've heard of her.

Yay! You should def buy "Begin to Hope"

She is slowly gaining the recognition she deserves. Hell, her album went platinum a couple months ago and people still ask Regina who? LOL

Oh, I know. And I know I have my eccentricities and different views than others, maybe even the status quo in some cases, so sometimes when I put myself out there it almost seems like it's begging for critcism. But no harm, no foul. :)

I mean unless you're hanging out with psycho Christians, I highly doubt people will care about what kind of movie you watch. The fact that you're so afraid and paranoid leads to more speculation...

Actually, it's funny you said that; it's the exact opposite. I'm hangin' out with a raging hot liberal. She is ITCHING to fix me up with someone to pound my [@#%$#]. She has all but said as much. And I'm not gonna let her know that she can do that and I'd find it hot. :)

Well, I'd think that there's a specific reason why she'd want to set you up with someone else...

Rhiannon, there are ways.

If it's one thing I've learned from soap operas, it's that people will ALWAYS find out your secrets.

In that respect, you're doomed no matter what you do.

Case in point: If I were to purchase this film, what if I watched it on my computer? What, then, would happen if a friend dropped by unexpectedly? She needed to use my computer for whatever reason. Heck, maybe she just wanted to hang out and then I went to the bathroom and she said, "Hey can I check my e-mail?" Well, then she'd most likely see the DVD icon and ask, "Hey, what movie are you watching?" And then she'd take out the DVD and see what it is! :o

If I tried to hide it, here's another case in point. Sometimes she sleeps over. Sometimes I sleep over at her place. She could find it underneath the mattress, where I may have hidden it, while making up the bed.

These are ways people find things out.

People are naturally suspicious and adventurous. They stumble upon things without meaning to. It's a fact of life, Rhiannon.

That's why I restrained myself from buying "Hidden Passions," and it's why I'm restraining myself from buying this movie and "Hard Candy."

I don't get it--Hard Candy?? You're afraid peopel will see you watched Hard Candy and suspect you're a creepy pedophile who lures teenaged girls online and sleeps with them? Or that you're a teenaged girl who tricks such lurers and tortures them?

If your friend sleeps over I'd be more afriadof saying something accidentlaly in my sleep than of her finding a dvd you rented and can easily hide.

As for the clip--Is the movie on DVD? I see it won some awards adna I love Buffy's Amber Benson but from that clip it looks to have typical z-level gay comedy acting--I've seen Justin be more realistic on Passions and that's saying something :P

LoL! My thoughts exactly.

JSF, what gives?!

Kenny, I thought we already established the fact that "Hard Candy" has a HUGE gay following. Right?

LoL, I don't remember that being established anywhere!

It has a huge gay following??? What? Why? I mean it's a well made controversial film and Patrick Wilson made his name originally in musicals on Broadway and then with a series of movies (liek Angels in America) where he did nude scenes but even *still* i've never ever heard it even implied as being a film with a gay following--and if your friends are gay savvy enough to haveheard that I'm sure you have nothing to hide from them :P

Damn! This video is no longer available. It was so funny/hot too :-( I've actually been in this situation. Trust me, gays, in the end it's not as fun as you thought it would be :-D

Okay, I may have misunderstood, but I know why. If you look in the original thread about Hard Candy, on this board, only SON's resident gays said they liked it. No straights. So that's why I got that impression.

Ah well if it makes you feel better more of my straight friends liked it (but most of them all had a crush on the girl...)

And I have to agree that the "gay fantasy" of laying a "straight" guy isn't what it's cracked out to be (nevermind the fact that I still say if he can be talked into it *that* easily he's not straight....)

This applies to anyone...

If you're the kind of person who gets attached easily, DO NOT MESS WITH A STRAIGHT DUDE. It will never work itself out into a longterm relationship, you'll end up broken-hearted and it'll turn into a complete disaster. I know from experience, LoL. And in my case, he told me he loved me!
