Days: Willow is horrible!

I've heard about her and I've seen the pics and banners around here but I'm watching some of the Days marathon and actually seeing her for the first time and she's horrendous. Those lips, those bug eyes, and those facial expressions! Plus her acting is laughable. I saw a youtube clip of her barging in on Hope and ranting to her about Shawn and she is sooooo annoying and irritating. YET for some reason I like her. She's so bad, she's good. She's like a bad joke and train wreck rolled into one. She reminds me of Charity Rahmer but that one, I just plain couldnt stand instead of love to hate.

First of all, let me say that I am glad you do like Willow. She's very likable. :) I will admit that she's not the best actress in daytime, but this is her first permanent role and she's only been on the show for about 5 months now. Give her time. I could name a huge list of actresses that weren't the best onscreen at the beginning of their run. I do believe that she has gotten miles better than when she first started.

As for her looks, I think she's beautiful. The lips are lucious, but I'm also crushing hard on Lisa Rinna too, so whatever.

why he's a fan?

lol...I love how she plays off of Phillip. He's so hardcore and serious and she could care less. This whole story is serious and she's a joke. She's like a little cockroach that wont go away. Ive never seen scenes between her and Belle but I want to see how those are.

I like Willow alot better than I used to. When she first came on, I didn't know where they were going with her. Was she a tormented girl from the wrong side of the tracks... a villainess... comedic? She was just sort of 'there,' with no purpose and no redeeming qualities.

Her face still gets on my nerves. And her acting still sucks sh!tlogs. But at least the character has been given a personality. She's straight-up crazy ho -- so much crazy ho that it's funny. The comedic aspect of her character is refreshing. There's potential, but she's still a bust for me so far.

I liked her on her first day and then shortly after that, I became annoyed and grew to despise her for months.

A few weeks ago, I began tolerating her because she was getting slightly better material once they threw her in with Philip. Now, this past Thursday, I LOVED her. I didn't love her on Friday, pretty much liked her but not loved her, but she has grown on me. Now I won't go nuts and become obsessed with her and I still don't necessarily think she is needed but the actress has improved and I agree with Drew in that we have seen newbie actors worst then her at this stage. She has improved and that is a good sign. If she hadn''t by this point, then there would be a problem. I see the Nicole comparison and I am not quite sure she will ever reach that popularity level but I do think people will get use to her as time goes on. That is probably what happened with me. Eventually, you just accept she is there and go with it.

I don't know how long she will be on the show. I will admit I still think it isn't very long but who knows. If she stays, fine, just as long as we don't see them bring on family for her. I don't want to see a new family, let alone her family. If only she remains, I am ok with that.

Oh, and I agree with Na Vell. Don't hate on Belle  . I would like to see more rival scenes between them though.

yes thats how I feel. I saw a preview of her saying she's pregnant with Shawn's baby and laughed. She does come off as crazy but in a funny way. I love how Phillip is so annoyed with her as if he's representing the viewers. It works here. Funny how this is Shawn and Belle's story yet Im enjoying those two the most

    • I really appreciated all the movement in today's episode.  It resonated with me that it felt like the sort of nervous energy that can surround a family after death. I want to point out the EJ scene.  I was riveted by his multi-layered performance. When he told Belle that he went to her because he loved her, and then saw that she was embarrassed by him, and rejected the part of her that was attracted to him.  It started to make even more sense why he would try to protect Johnny (who I still don't think shot him).  EJ feels like a pariah (although TBH, it wouldn't have hurt to bring Marlena some of that tea that everyone had been promising her all morning).  And he doesn't want to pass that along to his son by exposing him as the shooter.
    • -- What a stupid party. Devon and Abby leave while Victor goes upstairs to the GCAC bar and talks with Kyle. Then we see Jack giving Nikki ANOTHER birthday toast as if the party has just begun. Huh??? -- This party perfectly encapsulates sweeps month for this show: lame, deadly, boring af. -- Once again, Cole gets really sick and no one insists on an ambulance or the ER. They really want him dead, don't they? Instead we hear multiple characters say "Gee, I hope Victoria doesn't catch it." Cole will be dead before Dumas. -- Kyle is really offering to make a contract with Victor so he can continue to see Claire? Jesus Wept. -- And then the shoe ends with Victor praising Nikki for softening his heart over the years -- after we've seen him treat Kyle, Michael, and Jack like sh_it for days.
    • Your welcome! Will never understand the point of Budig! I forget she’s there 95% of the time and Thudley does too!
    • I do think Zane could have been a decent long-term addition if they hadn't disposed of him - up to Lucas' arrival, at least.

    • If he was responsible for Egyptian dust, you should have led with that! That one thing cinches it for me.
    • I would consider recasting Nikolas again just for the sake of those around him, but you may be right.
    • Watched Mondays episode, wow! That’s all I have to say. It was heartbreaking to watch. You really don’t know how invested you are in these characters until moments like this. Deidre was absolutely phenomenal in that whole episode, as I am sure she will be in the coming weeks. I was a bit torn about having Bo and Hope being the contrast in this episode, but I understand why they did it. And when Bo woke up and said fancy face to Hope, it broke me even more! Honestly, there are no more words except bravo to everyone involved and RIP to the greatest hero that ever existed in soaps John Black

    • Watching this longer clip I truly am impressed with the effects but also the direction - the moments of fear in the ballroom before the blast are wonderful. What I appreciate most here is the lack of a montage and the lack of aggressive editing.  This all looks better than quite a bit you could find elsewhere at the time, let alone now. Julia should have avoided weddings.
    • I hope somewhere in the fictional universe, Sami called Vivian to tell her about John. They just shared an Uber to the airport, so I assume they have each other's contact info (no matter the universe, they both probably only have 3
