in a perfect world? or in your view of a perfect world?

Um, in a perfect world!

Are you really suggesting that abortion -- aka sucking an innocent child out of its mother's womb, what SHOULD have been considered the safest place to be -- should not be outlawed in a perfect world?

It's sick, it's wrong, and even Hillary Clinton believes there should be far fewer of these procedures.

Sorry, but yes, in a perfect world, ie. where ALL are treated with actual dignity and respect, (which I hope to God would be everyone's view of a 'perfect world') abortion-on-demand wouldn't be so heavily adored and people would have a real respect for life. And actually accept the consequences of their actions.

No, it won't. Wanna know why? Because we're living in a society that somehow thinks that abstinence is the only way to go. Of course, with the stress of abstinence in schools, take a wild guess as to what doesn't get talked about? SAFE SEX! When safe sex doesn't get talked about, what's not talked about? The various methods of protection. It is not a coincidence that areas that has abstinence-only programs show high teen pregnancy and STD rates.

HELLO! We're animals! We get in heat too! We have a biological need to mate! That's not going to change any time soon unless you're heavily into endocrinology and can severely alter our hormones.

If you're so damn concerned about those unwanted kids because "a life is a life" then you better put your money where your mouth is and adopt every single one of them. You raise them because you're definitely not going to force a mother who doesn't want a child to raise them.

Thankfully, there are more and more organizations popping up in the country that are making otherwise selfish women realize they HAVE to do just that. :)

And I'm sorry, Danni, but it's illogical to think that one person is going to adopt all the unexpected children in the world. There must be more practical solutions than that.

And about the safe sex programs. I agree that abstinence only probably isn't the best approach. But you can't mislabel "safer" sex because that's just what it is. safe-R. Not 100 percent. So we're not really helping our kids, in my opinion, if we teach them that a condom that is 85 percent reliable is their ticket to happy sex without risks.

And let's cut to THE REAL heart of the matter. Yes, we are people with passions. (I refuse to say we're "animals" since we are FAR better than animals). But that doesn't mean we can't keep our passions in check. The real problem, if you want to talk about STIs, is the idiots who use sex recreationally and screw a different person every night, maybe more than one in a night, maybe three in a night, maybe FOUR in a night -- all in the name of same perceived "sexual liberty" that really has made them a slave to their passions -- and MUCH more likely to catch and spread STIs.

As a gay man I just assume that my "juices" should not "make contact" and I expect the same from my sexual partners. To me it sounds like straight men are not doing their part. If they wore condoms there would be no question about abortion.

I agree Danni, it is so much better to terminate a future life than give it a chance to live because some morons in "heat" as you call it can't protect themselves or be responsible! Blame the damn fetus for NOT making a mistake!

You know what I love about the abortion debate is when these religious fanatics come in to preach about pro life and saving the child then they turn a deaf ear when the mother needs help when she has the child....They help the baby in one instance and then not help the mother. Not too Christian for me

What I love is that same, TIRED old story. Again and again.

The people I know help the women, through the first few years of the child's life. They help them find job training and help them get on their feet.

More propaganda to make us "religious fanatics" (when, once again, it's not a religious issue, so the statement doesn't work) look bad.

Which kind of perfect world do you want to live in? One that beats people up for their urges or one that educates them? We can try

Okay, first of all, Brandi, why are you all of a sudden calling yourself Fred now?! I'm confused.

Second, I don't want people beaten up for their urges. Where did that come from? I don't care if people are educated...

Wait, are we to believe that Fred, Brandi/y's brother, also is a soap fan and knows about this same site?

That's just a bit of a stretch, mateo!

Oh, this is ALL TOO MUCH!! A case of mistaken identities to add to an already action-packed February sweeps at this place?!! Oh, no, no, no, it can't be!!! It's just SO unexpected!!!

Sorry JointStrikeFighter, I guess I assumed you knew. Brandy's working all weekend long (ordering people around LOL!) I asked if I could use her "identity" as long as I signed it Fred. Maybe it was a bad idea.

Oh, GOD no. Not a bad idea at all!! I just wasn't "in the know."

If I did see that post where you said that, I probably thought it was a joke.

This is just so unheard of!

One person posting on another person's name?!

that's just excellent.

What am I supposed to do? Open a new account for two or three days? Kind of difficult now with all the spammers going nuts... on many sites I might add. I asked a MOD and he said it was okay .Natuarlly he reminded me I'd be in MUCH BIGGER TROUBLE with her than I could ever be with SON or otherwise.

And he's right. You DO NOT want to get my sister mad. Or maybe she's a sweet little shrinking violet here. I doubt it.

Don't worry. I'm going back to Boston on Sunday. If I like this place I'll open one from there.

And I do like this place. Don't care a lot about soaps anymore.

Let's bring the posts back to the topic at hand and TONE IT DOWN.

Both Brandeis and her brother, Fred, are aware that if one gets in trouble both get in trouble. And the whole account gets suspended. Let's get back on topic.
