And Spike one of the worst baby names...I disagree with that...it's so Kendall and fits for her child. Once again Simon is used as a prop. He and Carly wern't all that hot, the triangle was a total mess. They totally forgot Jennifer's death, that should have gotten mention because that was one of the most saddest moments in daytime last year and the show written at its best and IMO, the show hasn't been that well written since that point. Members KLN Posted January 31, 2007 Members Share Posted January 31, 2007 How can they be right about EVERYTHING on the list (in regards to Days) and so wrong about Brandon Beemer? He's lightyears ahead of Jason Cook! I'm so sick of the teeny-bopper fans that Days lured in from 1999 - 2001 acting like Jason Cook and Kirsten Storms were the sh!t. They SUCKED. The only thing that makes them still 'look good' is that retrospect is always rosier than the actual occurance. When the Princess Gina mess was happening on Days, fans HATED it. Now, years later, all I hear is people talking about how great it was. Same for the teen scene. "There will never be a better Shawn than Jason Cook." WHAAAT? Jason Cook was a mishap -- a mistake. He couldn't force a tear if someone drenched his ass in gasoline and lit a match. I'd rather the scrumptiously cute Colin O'Donnell come back as Shawn before they ever let Jason Cook near the show again. Of course, I'm thrilled with the current casting of Brandon Beemer. He's a gem, such a find! "There will never be a better Belle than Kirsten Storms." WHAAAT? People say (on other boards) that her Belle was 'fun.' That's just it. She had no depth. She was cutesy-wootsy 'fun' and that was all. She couldn't play drama, she couldn't play heroine. Just mousy. She would be the world's biggest failure as a grownup Belle. Thank God for Martha Madison... who, IMO, is the best actress in daytime right now. I've been quite wowed with the Days casting department over the last five years. The show that used to cast for looks alone is really going with which actor/actress suits the character best... and I just wanna hug them for it. When this list would come out last year there wasn't enough time to evaluate their return. Now we can though. I think the 2005/06 thing with C&A's return is just a technicality. As to Brandon Beemer, as I said last night in the Random Thoughts thread - I love Brandon Beemer but my teenage daughters don't. They can't stand him at all. I think he is world's better than Jason Cook but they think he is terrible. But they hated Kirsten Storms as Belle and prefer Martha Madison. My youngest daughter gets up and leaves the room when Beemer comes on. He is a mixed bag for most I think. I look around on other boards and just as many of us that like there is an equal number out there who can't stand him. And as to the Spike name I have never liked it.
