Hopefully, but it's probably to late.

For December, PSNS is up +.3 in HH, +.1 in 18-49 and +.3 in 18-34 versus October and November

Passions is still doing well in key demos (last week's ratings), but is it enough for NBC to renew it. Maybe the ship has sailed

Hopefully that is not the case. I called the show today and asked about all the rumors and the articles in the upcoming issues of SOD and SOW regarding the possible cancellation. The woman responded that the show is not cancelled and that there were no plans to do so. I don't know how much faith to put in that, but hopefully she is right and hopefully the show can maitain the ratings it received the 1st week of January 2007.

Usually they will give you a "no comment" answer if it was indeed cancelled.

So hopefully she's right *crosses fingers*

Let's just hope all these "romours" it they are rumours get's JER's butt in gear to resolve some stories.

With whom did you speak?

With whom did you speak?

I didn't ask her name. I called (818) 655-5454 and the person who answered greeted me with "Passions". I told her who I was and asked about the rumors and my previous post was her response.

Everyone should call, write or Fax and floor them LOL Maybe they will be more apt to release a statement to the public.

It's killing me having to wait to hear the shows fate. I'm calling tomorrow afternoon.

I doubt they would tell you anything. When Hogan was coming to Days..it seemed like it took forever to find out if it was confirmed.

I've heard it all now. You're going to pray for the demise of a network just because NBC cancels Passions. There are a lot more people watching other shows on NBC than will ever watch Passions so I don't think the cancellation of Passions deserves hoping for the demise of NBC. I bet NBC will be better off if it rids itself of JER and Passions since Passions has shown itself to not be enough people's cup of tea to warrant its staying on the air.

Wrong. "Passions" HAS shown itself to be enough people's cup of tea for staying on the air. That's proven by NBC's renewing the show for so many years. The net was clearly happy with the 2's. "Passions" isn't the problem. It has the marketability and CAN earn the Nielsens. No, JER is the problem. HE and HE alone ruined my favorite show of all time.

And because of that, and NBC not doing something desperate to kick him into gear and renewing the show, YES, I feel it necessary to pray NBC into CW territory.

I hope she was right...but come on, how did you get the show's PHONE number? E-mail, I'd believe. But it's not like there's a 1-800 PASSIONS!

Even so, I hope the number you called was legit and the show is safe. AND that NBC kicked JER's but into gear. Honestly, I don't know what is his problem!! If he ticks ME off this much, you know there's something wrong.

Dear God, yes, Rick! Let's hope JER will get his ASS in gear. I'm sorry but I have NEVER been more disappointed with a human being in my LIFE. He just took a goldmine show with ridiculous potential and marketability and backburnered everything for years and ticked everyone off! What is his problem?! DEAR GOD, WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM?!@!!

I hate to play Devil's Advocate here, but did you really think she was going to tell the truth? They were probably given their canned response since I'm sure they are getting lots of calls. They wouldn't dare let the cat out of the bag before anything is officially announced. Hell for that matter they might even be the last to know. Those people that answer the phones are robots anyway. I've known people in the past that have called to complain and their response is always "Keep watching, good things are coming up," and we all know that is bull shiit.

Only time will tell, and hopefully they won't keep us waiting too long before we get something offical one way or another.

Well, I shall call tomorrow and ask her when JER's fata$$ will be out of the HW's seat. THAT ought to rile her up a bit!

I'm so tired right now...:(

Wow...out of the loop for two days and this thing is still going strong!!!

I hope Passions doesn't go and that the rumors aren't true. The show does have potentail and the genre doesn't need this to start some sort of chain of changes since this will likely end with Days moving and ending another soaps's run and destroying Days in the process.

Hopefully, Passions stays and JER is put under control or fired (never will happen) and Passions gets the helps it needs so that the genre doesn't suffer on many levels.

Who's called today? Would the production team know already or not until next week when the TV Association meets?
