August 12, 200718 yr Author Administrator I'm pretty sure she was Associate Head Writer. I checked Wikipedia, if thats any comfort, and it says Associate Head also. Wikipedia took the information from me. LOL Though I've updated her profile since they took it.

August 12, 200718 yr Member Of course no JER. I wish he wasn't so reclusive. LMAO at Bob Elton John Guza and Megan McTavish being up there. At least you have a pic of JER at work. I've tried to find pics of HW's at work for years. JER does need to come out though, look at Hogan. They look just alike and Hogan is always yapping.
August 12, 200718 yr Member Yes, Toups, tell Jay about Douglas Marland's ghost joining the OLTL writing team.
August 12, 200718 yr Author Administrator Hey Toups, while your here............got anything for me? LOL Like I said before, I can only spill things when I'm allowed to. LOL
August 12, 200718 yr Member Yes, Toups, tell Jay about Douglas Marland's ghost joining the OLTL writing team. I'll take it. As long as one, Frances Meyers, Mark Christopher, Victor G, and Janet I, and Chris Van Etten are gone. I dont know Van Etten too well, but Victor came from DAYS per Higley, and Janet was given to higley by Mctavish. Meyers came through Higley, and Mark, came in Higley. no pun intented.
August 12, 200718 yr Member LOL Like I said before, I can only spill things when I'm allowed to. LOL , I understand.

August 12, 200718 yr Member But I want to hear him speak!! My dream is to interview him and to just talk soap opera with him. Jim, if you're reading this, send me an email!! You know I could have had an interview with Dena Higley. I spoke to her daughter. I had my 15 year old nephew get to her on myspace. She told me some stuff. Apparently Dena HATES Brian and Ron, and Mark Christopher is STILL at OLTL. Dena is writing Sci-Fi now, hoping to get picked up. She should go to Passions!! I asked to interview her and she said Higley didnt care, just not to hound her. Also, she outed Frank Valentini. I always called him gay not knowing, but she said he is. She's probably just bitter. August 12, 200718 yr Member Toups, where did you get that picture. I would love to get one of someone who is actually writing something good.
August 12, 200718 yr Member I didn't think it was news that FV was gay. And gorgeous, by the way. Not that THAT has anything to do with his skills as an EP.
August 12, 200718 yr Member This is GH's Emmy winning team, headed by Guza, during the Wendy Riche era. I should also note, Claire Labine's writing team also won the writing Emmy in 96, during Riche's era. 1999 Emmy win for Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team: Robert Guza Jr. (head writer) Michele Val Jean (associate head writer) Patrick Mulcahey (associate head writer) Elizabeth Korte (associate head writer) Mary Ryan (associate head writer) Stephen Demorest (breakdown writer) Garin Wolf (breakdown writer) Craig Heller (script writer) Bill Levinson (script writer) Michael Quinn (script writer) Wow, that's just an ASTOUNDING team of talent.
August 12, 200718 yr Member I asked to interview her and she said Higley didnt care I didn't understand this.
August 12, 200718 yr Member I asked to interview her and Dena didn't care, as in she would do the interview.
August 12, 200718 yr Member I believe Nancy Curlee had the most authority in that head writing team, since she was there the longest and previously served as Pamela Long's co-head writer. Though, I get what you're saying, I still don't know how 4 very different head writers got the job done together. Was it Pam Long that someone here mentioned networks were trying to rehire? But she constantly refused? Nancy Curlee left soap writing after her GL stint and to this day, many soaps have been trying to land her. I wish she came back... I really don't understand the attitude - yes, the honchos are a crazy bunch, but still why not give it a try and then if it doesn't work, just flutter away? Guza and Pratt have a long history of working together. They have written for Santa Barbara and on a few of Aaron Spellings trashy primetime soaps. I know. I still don't understand it, they even studied together, I think, they seem to have such different characters, I don't know how do they get along. What's funny about Curlee/Demorest/Rely/Broderick and Pratt and Guza was that fact JFP was the EP overseeing both teams.
