Movies that make you fall asleep for no apparent reason

Every time the shining comes on I fall asleep, I have no clue why. I have watched it a various times of the day and I still fall asleep. I think last year I actually got through the whole movie without falling asleep but its really weird beause the movie was good. I also keep falling asleep whenever constantine comes on, the movie is action-packed for the most part, yet I keep falling asleep. Has anyone else had this problem.

Gone With the Wind and Basic Instinct. The first one is a three-hour snoozefest, and the second---who thought a movie could make sex and murder so boring?

For me and I guess there is a reason, but it is The English Patient. For an Oscar winner that is the biggest boring movie I have ever seen.

Me too Steve. I find myself dozing off midway through the movie.

Unless the movie is just really good, I have a hard time sitting through any movie over 2.5 hours. I guess I have a short attention span, but usually I just get bored and fall asleep. Dances with Wolves comes to mind...

I love Gone with the wind, the key to watching that movie is to FF through all the war scenes and just watch the Rhett and scarlet scenes.

Lord of the Rings puts me to sleep like no other movie. Total snoozefest.

Another movie that puts me to sleep is "Interview With the Vampire." I'm not sure why, because I LIKE that movie, but it always puts me to sleep.

I also maybe think Kanewomen also meant movies that you may watch to fall asleep. If that is the case, any of old horror flicks from the 30s and 40s. They do it for me every time. Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride Of Frankenstein, House Of Dracula, etc.

I hate to admit this but I've fallen asleep to Fantasia every time I've tried to watch it.

 Me too but probably because I've only ever watched them as late movies.

It's the weirdest thing, I fall asleep everytime I try to watch the original Psycho.

I do too! It's so slow moving in the beginning, and I have always felt that black and white movies tend to knock me clean out.

I hate I have to work tomorrow, because I would overdose on all the B&W flicks coming on.
