DAYS OF OUR LIVES: An experimental drug helped cure Steve from the toxin, but Kayla remained in a coma and near death. Steve couldn't help but show his feelings for Billie, but at the same time enlisted Bo and Hope to help cure Kayla. John borrowed a surveillance truck from Kate, who didn't realize he would be spying on EJ. Sami walked in on EJ and Kate's rendezvous; Kate hid, but left her bra behind, which Sami promptly snatched up. Philip sent Belle divorce papers and a huge settlement check, which Belle refused. EJ hired Shawn to act as a courier between him and Patrick.

Watch For: After talking to Stephanie, Steve comes up with an idea on how to help Kayla. Mimi witnesses Patrick and Shawn's transaction.

Just when you thought NBC's Days of our Lives couldn't get any trippier, we hear this news: American Idol supastah Clay Aiken will spend his Christmas in Salem this year. The singer will serenade Days supercouple Patch and Kayla (Stephen Nichols, Mary Beth Evans) at the show's nightclub, Dune, on December 22.

In his guest spot, which he'll tape on November 14, Clay sings "Everything I Have," a song off his new album, A Thousand Different Ways.

Days viewers will also hear Clay's take on "O, Holy Night," which was featured in his 2004 holiday disc, Merry Christmas with Love.

I love ya, Clay, but I still think you stole my hairdo.

He's handsome, but he looks like a guy that sings karaoke at the place I go to sometimes.

That CANNOT be the actor DAYS picked up. There must be two Jim Lunsfords out there. I know soaps tend to be unbelievable when it comes to ages, but that man looks like he could have played in the sandbox with Kayla as a child rather than being raised by her. It has to be a mistkae.

The picture from the magazines that was posted later in that thread has him looking a bit younger.

Also, if he is the actor I saw in my search on Google from some Los Angeles theater productions, he looked much younger there and that was not long ago.

Days has done a good job with casting and many said Beemer and Martha looked too old so I will wait and see until he appears. He has a good background but the pictures make him older. Days might make him look younger or something. The pictures do make him look like a love interest ofr Kayla or Billie.

He does look like what Benji would look like, but he does look a little too old. Hopefully it's just the pictures and he'll actually come off looking alot younger (hopefully anyhow).

I don't see why Philip sent Belle a settlement check. She doesn't need the money, but I can see where this is going. I can't wait to see who Days has casted to play Philip. I hope it's Spencer Hill.

I also don't understand the casting for Benji. This guy is too old.

Well Benji should be about 10 years older than Stephanie, who has been SORASed to 19 or 20. He's also EJ's older brother and EJ is supposed to be 28. So Benji would be right at 30. I think in the second, blonder pic he looks about 30 to me.

More important to me is that this guy has a pretty extensive theater background in LA and is said to be a good actor. I also like his face a lot. It has depth to me. I can't say for sure until I see him in action but I think he's going to be a good addition.
