Easily the best episode of the year next to the Supermarket Hostage. Last week's episode I found quite boring and hard to follow. I think the writing was off but this week took what we saw last week and answered alot of questions and thensome. Poor Alma. I think she truly was going to warn Bree and then she died. Gloria revealed as Monique's killer, not a huge shocker but Dixie Carter nailed this role and I am just sad we won't see her again. They left it open ended though since she isn't dead.

How on earth though can Orson get off for running down Mike?

I missed the first 15 mins, was this explained?

I'm not sure if they explained it.

But WHY exactly did Orson run down Mike in the first place?

Also, it will go down like Orson ran over Mike, Mike pushed him off a building. So, there even. I HATE Mike so much and that British guy. They drag the show down immensely for me.

I think Marc Cherry wrote it? And I agree about Edie. Surely Mike and Susan can fall into some ditch. Edie should be front and center. How am I ever supposed to care about this character, if she is barely shown? When she popped up today, it was so random. Did they ever follow through with Edie's son cheating on Danielle? I don't recall a confrontation or anything.

    • That makes sense. Rauch did like to play games, as shown with some of the antics with the Labines. We should make some screencaps.  I can imagine her not being thrilled by much of anything in 1996.
    • I believe he also turned out to be Doug Cassen's son. I could be wrong about that. Yeah, he doesn't get talked about much in the history books.
    • Cady McClain said the same thing with her hairdos - she switched it up so much because she was either unhappy or bored.  Kim must have been unhappy in 1996 because she has so many different short styles, it's wild (haha).
    • She definitely was trying new things with her hair and makeup in the 1986 scenes I saw so it tracks. Rauch wouldn't have been there, but it just strikes me as a conversation Rauch would have had with her with when he was at GL. Rauch loved to badmouth JC. So she put it in the book as if she had been told at the time. It's like how she has Michelle Forbes on GL years before she actually arrives or Ellen Wheeler firing people who had been fired yrs. before by Rauch or Conboy.
    •   From what actors have said, Y&R has been very busy taping the upcoming storyline, and that was up to and including the week of Diamont's party, and after.
    • Well, a good number of sets were up when I was there, but there was a limited number of people around. Even Y&R seemed dead, but maybe everyone was out for lunch at the time? I remember driving from the parking lot and preparing to enter the roadway when I saw Michelle Stafford and Christian LeBlanc returning from what I think was their lunch break. Not sure where they went or were coming from.
    • A scene I cannot wait to see. Julie Harris as Liliemae is the gift that keeps on giving; she's not outright evil, but frustrating, and in her own way, still pretty lovable.
    • Kim used to say that you can tell when she was unhappy because she would try weird or new things with her hair.  I don't think Rauch was at OLTL at the time Zimmer was but their producer at the time probably wasn't much of a peach either.
    • I wonder if less set use was preparing for the move. They probably were preparing for this for awhile now
    • The early part of the season is decent. After that, Season 9 is one of the worst seasons until season 13. Season 10 is a little worse.    That would have made sense, even if it cost us one of my favorite scenes (Ben putting Lilliemae in a headlock). That's an excellent storyline and leads to the show's last strong season finale.
