Wow first older characters and now babies  .

I am with you all though-I think it is Maria and that will bring Kay and Miguel together. No matter who Kay chooses I am going to vomit anyway as I hate both nuFox and nuMiguel. I too agree Charity is returning very soon.

Rick, I don't see the need for all the schoked emoticons. I have to agree with Rion, Maria is NOT all that. She's easily the most annoying "Passions" baby, with the runner-up being Miles. Besides, I can see Kay not being a single mother again. And it's clearly JER's way of being able to tell the 'tragic death of a beloved couple's child' story, completely, that he couldn't on "Days" with Zach's death. If it means great fallout and story, I'm ALLfor a Maria death. Besides, the show does need to trim the fat for the budget, so it's a good business decision. :)

I don't see Maria dying bring Kay and Miguel together. I see it tearing them apart. Kay can be all bitter about the fact that Miguel left his daughter behind to chase after some woman and deprived their child of a father figure during some very important years in a baby's life. If something happened to Maria and Miguel was responsible for saving her (blood transfusion, bone marrow), that would bring Kay and Miguel together and leave Fox the odd man out.

Kay and Miguel don't really belong together. He loves Charity. He's given up on finding her, but if she appears back in Harmony, he'll be crazy about her again.

If it is Maria, I'd be very interested in watching that storyline unfold. If wouldn't be a great loss for the show but I think it could create an interesting storyline, and give Heidi something very challenging to play.

I agree that killing off Maria would estrange Kay and Miguel forever, opening the door for the Charguel/Foxay reunions that the fans want.

SO DO IT, JER!!

Well, I'd be for Maria dying, but why does Kay have to know in advance. I would love to see their whole story go back to being "serious" supernatural instead of being a plain old joke.

I would support Maria dying if it was written well but it won't be. Passions does not do stuff like this well. Hell, they botched up Theresa's rape. I know it can always be reversed but Kay can't have any more children due to the spearing incident two years ago so that is partly why I hate this. It is kinda hard to reverse a spear going through you though  .

The only good thing is that it should tear Kayguel apart but I don't care for Foxay either with Wystrach in the role of Fox. Whatever-I will watch it play out since the show needs something to shake things up. Zach;s death was good until we got the Morgan Island crap but Days also has a better writing in general even when JER was there so I don't know how well this will go or if it will be even close to Zack's death.

We don't even know Maria is dying yet so let's wait and see.

She won't stay dead, if it's her. Remember whose storyline this in. MAGIC!

In the NY Daily News interview, Richard stated that Pilar asks Martin for an ANNULMENT. He refuses and then leaves Harmony on work-related business (no clue Martin has any skills but whatever). Katherine begs Martin to go with him, but he tells her no.

His final airdate is the 1st week of October.

Edited to correct mistake

Ugh. God, this Martin story was so ruined from day one.

Remember how much potential the Martin story had in 99-02 before Martin was even casted/shown?

It's really sad, but fixable. Keep them on a couple weeks longer, spin some kind of imposter storyline- they're con artists, whatever. Everything on the show is easily un-doable, which is why it's so weird that they like to keep the crap going.

I'm SO relieved to hear they're going the annulment route. Pilar, despite her 'change' with Ethan and Theresa, truly would NOT be open to new dick unless she dissolved her marriage the church's way.

Even though it's great to hear this news, I hope the annulment isn't so easily granted. Realistically, these things, in the church, often take a YEAR. Oh, wait, they did that realistically with Grace and Sam, didn't they? It wasn't just a quicky...but on paper, I don't see the just cause for an annulment because it would mean proving that Martin or Pilar presented themselves as different people during their marriage vows than who they REALLY are. Just taking off with Katherine wouldn't cut it because annulments are taken much more seriously than that. Gram's was open/shut but this one...hmm...it'll be interesting to see the justification.

Wow-what a lame way to write out a character that had so much buildup. I am with PX-do an imposter story with him and Kat and then they can keep both actors and start again. They botched up Martin and Kat so much although moreso Martin and it was not the actors' fault. I hate the way Passions is writing people out now. Other then Beth and Al, no one has really gotten a sendoff. Liz, Rachel, Siren, and now Martin just disappear or fade away without any fanfare. This show is frustrating me again and not in a good way.

I just hope Pilar gets herself a new man now-that is one good thing that could come out of this.

I think the Martin story was handled just fine. Once it was revealed that Sheridan didn't kill him, I didn't feel there was any point to the character. I always assumed he'd run off because of threats from Alistair, and that he was with Paloma, and I was proven correct. And once his role in the Rachel stabbing and Katherine's faked death was revealed, I felt he should leave. Anyone who abandons his wife for 20 years should not re-enter her life and hope to rekindle things. I was never rooting for Pilar to get Martin back, so I'm glad they're ending this and writing him out.
