  1. What were the details of the suit? Was it failure to live up to her contract due to nonappearance? And, sure there would be plenty of recast possibles for Peter.
  2. What was daytime's first abortion? Another World's Pat Randolph nee Matthews. What was daytime's first HIV/AIDS victim? Another World's Dawn Rollo.
  3. The day Emmy nods were announced Brad called his actors from an island, so he was on vacation, not that it would put him out of reach but maybe he wanted to be out of reach.
  4. It's alive! Y&R May 28, 2021 Neil Winters Anniversary Tribute May 28, 2021, a tribute to Neil Winters upon the anniversary of his death, is a tight, well-written and excellently acted daytime drama episode. There is a musical underbed of jazz throughout, tying the various scenes together that gives the day a feeling, an ambience of calm but very alert status. The show begins with Neil's youngest child, Moses, who had previously done the invitations for this day & was then working on the program for the day, which was set up to be a walk through what Neil Winters life had been like. There was a playlist where one could listen to Neil's favorite music. There was a planned walk for the guest to take from place to place where the locales were important stops along the way in Neil's life. Crimson Lights, work, etc. Then, once this is set up, the story goes from person, or group of people, to person, as each did the walk. It progressed nicely and culminated with different people putting a flower down at Neil's final resting place. Well done! When MTS entered she exclaimed, "Oh, I know this piece." and walked directly over to a piano & sat down & played with the music. Lovely moment, seemed so authentic.
  5. I'd said that DOOL can't afford production values, and you'd replied as above. Okay, they can't afford to keep cast on permanent full time like what everyone is used to, so they devised this rotation where they literally rotate contract players on & off affecting how they tell stories & how the fans experience seeing too much of one or more characters & none of others. Did this count of cast list size take into account their rotation? And, that's supposedly the reason KA left, they wanted to rotate her off for 6 months then bring her back with some again supposedly fantastic storyline with a Navy seal (Who thinks of these pitches?) What am I missing? All I see & hear & read convinces me that they are broke.
  6. Oh, I think when Grant left that he knew he might very well be back. There was a nobility to his leaving & a nobility to his return. The King Is Back!
  7. Shame on him for not mentioning Doug Marland!
  8. Thnx yet again! I had begun to think your source had hit a snag! Selfishly I am so pleased he's back! He's baaa-aack.
  9. Apparently production quality is too expensive for them.
  10. Yeah, that works. Becomes a typical blue herring. Thnx.
  11. Yabbut the show would've known they were going to do that cover. That wouldn't have been the media on their own being provocative! It would have had to come from the show. I can't explain why they would have pitched such a cover to SOD! Covers were valuable to them. They would not have wasted one. It is a puzzlement.
  12. And sometime in thereabouts he & Catherine Hickland got divorced so he had personal issues, too. (2006)
  13. Can't we all agree that she goes on these rants periodically?
  14. Only if they actually did begin to produce it. An informal something wouldn't count. They co-produced with some entities in the 90s & on forward but not daytime. They were in bed with Columbia Tri-Star & with Walmart but not soap - primetime for family dramas.
  15. What kind of car was that? Is it just me or is it weird for Sonny at this point in his life to be giving Brando advice on how to support his bride?!!! Which part of his homespun advice did he use to save his marriage? Oh, right. Seems he doesn't follow some sage advice like: Do first, then tell.
  16. Regarding the Y&R episode referred to as the Anniversary of Neil Winter's Death (Kristoff St. John) which may have shown up in various reels & also may be the Y&R Show reel & one of the Writing reels, two posters from GoldDerby offer (1) this short clip which features a nominated song and (2) the promise of a transcript & a recap at TV Megasite. Episode May 28, 2021 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYHXYmTlz1A&t=148s Here's the transcript: http://tvmegasite.net/.../older/2021/yr-trans-05-28-21.shtml Update: http://tvmegasite.net/updates/yr/2021/yr-05-28-21.shtml Short recap: https://www.tvmeg.com/.../yr-short-recap-friday-may-28-2021/
  17. My favorite thing of all is when the soap mags would take nifty portraits like these of Cass & Felicia.
  18. Well, sorry then. Didn't mean to be inappropriate.
  19. Hasn't she always done this? Not that everything out of her mouth is a rant, but ranting has always been one of her modes, I thought.
  20. MEK talked about Martin's accent. He runs lines while he's walking his dog. The legalese has a cadence to it that came out of his mouth as a Southern accent & MEK asked Frank if it was okay. Said yes but don't take it too far. So they decided he had spent time in his youth in oh-he-couldn't-think what city it was right then. Began, though, as a highbrow Virginian accent & has since devolved. MF asked him if it was hard & he kind guffawed & said Well Yes to be consistent! AS IF someone would ask if an accent is hard! He said he has Dixie running in the back of his head to keep a line on the Southern accent. He also said he loved doing Ted Orsini but he didn't think he was very good at it. He would watch David Canary & just think, OH, if I could do that. He referred to the time Stuart's wife had died, an AIDS storyline & David & the guy he worked together had like a second sense of head placement & everything, for when both brothers would be on at the same time. (This was in a Zoom interview with Michael Fairman & MEK.)
  21. Oh, sorry NB = Nurses' Ball. Yeah, and Robin & Stone was Wendy Riche's concept, to tell a story where straight kids would get caught with straight sex, etc. or however she put it to Claire, Wendy Riche said that Claire took that away & came back & pitched Robin & Stone & it was *exactly* what Wendy had wanted. That combination of collaborative spirit with some kind of serendipity of certain people working together, combined with a hullava lot of hard work. Mwah! Yes, Edward was an excellent recast. The anniversary of BJ's heart was just yesterday, wasn't it? I think so.
  22. She & Adrienne Franz did that slightly odd web show, too.
