Oh, the covenant of privacy & anonymity is huge! On occasion they have open meetings where people can bring their friends & family & those aren't cloaked in secrecy but all other meetings are. 100%. I can't think of any example where someone has sold a story to a tabloid, ever, out of one of their meetings.

I find myself wondering if a part of the reason for Mitch's 180 degree about face from helping Janice poison Mac to helping Rachel get Mac to some medical care in the nick of time, was so he could more readily have a relationship with Matt later on. I've puzzled over his motivation many times.

For Richer, For Poorer aired on NBC from Dec. 6, 1977 to Sept. 29, 1978. 1977-78 where ATWT & AW were tied for 1st ranking both with 8.6 and EON was 13th out of 14 with 5.2, Lovers & Friends was 14th, dead last, with 3.9 so substantially lower than low. Lovers & Friends debut had been 15th out of 15 with only a 2.1. And, in 1978 when For Richer, For Poorer was canceled it was 14th out of 14 with that 2.1 again and above it EON & LOL were tied for 12th place with 5.8, so again much higher than this NBC show. It's impossible to talk about For Richer, For Poorer without first talking about Lovers & Friends which aired on NBC from Jan. 3, 1077 to May 6, 1977. After having great success at Another World Pete Lemay (writer) and Paul Rauch (producer) collaborated on creating a brand new serial about two families. The wealthy Cushings - Austin, an unemployed college dropout who has a problem with the bottle. His sister Megan. Their father Richard a stockbroker. Edith their mother who is a socialite. The other family is the upwardly mobile Saxtons. Rhett Saxton fell in love with Megan Cushing. His parents, Lester & Josie. His brother Jason who also had a crush on Megan. It began the day of Megan & Bill's wedding with his ex telling the bride she's pregnant with the groom's baby. A 3rd wealthy family was added. Mac & Rachel from AW were on several days. Some of the cast was the same but it was larger so there were new faces.

I found today interesting because everything was so parallel. Rafe/Jada, Wendy/Tripp, Ava/Harris & the one different one Steph/Everett. Each had a task or two. Each had conversation. 3 out of 4 had romance. Dancing led to kissing which led to making out which led to sex. Just like an assembly line. Rafe & Jada had a toast but it was so nonchalant I couldn't even grab a snap of it. Steph thought it was perfectly okay to call her uncle Shane as Head of the ISA to find out who bought Rice Chex's half of the paper. So entitled & take resources for granted. So regimented. I bet this is a new scab writer.

It continues to bother me that they refer to it as bipolar depression rather than bipolar disorder, etc. I presume that he was Bipolar II, like me, and we have worse depressive episodes & do not have the same manic episodes that Bipolar I's have. Our manic episodes are not as extreme. That's the only reason I can think of that they would use the term bipolar depression but of course that's an assumption on my part & may not be correct. The joke is that Bipolar II's don't have as much fun as Bipolar I's. The down & dirty, nitty gritty is of course hard to hear. I just wish to hell some drug had worked for him. They have more drugs to try now. It's a shame, such a shame. Oh, yeah, I try to remember to tell people that the holidays can be very dangerous for vulnerable people especially if they are alone. So if you know someone who has some sketchiness to their life, you might check on them.

I am amazed that I do, but I like this main story. Started with the dreaded miracle baby said to be dead, I predicted hating it! Instead Ari & DanF & nuHolly have me really feeling compelled to know what's going to happen next. The trick to delay yesterday was clever. They had EJ's DNA on file so they just compared to it. Only we the gentle audience & the perps know the truth. I love it when the audience knows what's going on & not all the players do. Just hold on, Nicole, keep on believing despite "evidence". PeterP & Greg are just total wastes of time. Now we have the other one in jail. Musical Jail cells! And, Day 2 of scabs.

Now, I liked Matt with Lila. Can you remind me of some ways in which he treated her poorly? And, isn't it a hoot that today Baby Jasmine would be 24 or 25?!! Born in an elevator Oct. 22, 1999. Now Jami was one of my favorite couples! Jonathan was Reva's son from when she was a Princess on St. Cristobal. Reva/Katherine gave him to Olivia when he was born & his aunt Olivia placed him with a family which turned out to be far from ideal. The father Albert was a monster & Jon grew up with both physical & emotional abuse. His birth put the succession to the throne in question so he had to be hidden. Tammy was Reva's sister Cassie's daughter. I honestly don't remember who knew what when Tammy & Jon first became attracted to each other. Early on there was a question was Sandy (this other boy) or Jon, Reva's long lost son. By the time they were serious they knew they were first cousins & so did the whole town. Didn't keep me from rooting for them. When Tammy died Tom Pelphrey who played Jon did amazing Emmy caliber acting. Their romance is very well covered on YouTube.
