Actually kalbir said it but I just wanted to add in case anyone does not know that she did not submit the entire time she was on GL. Probably everyone does know. The new model CBS deemed for ATWT was a totally different narrative structure. You cannot say they had no new model!!! Before CBS scared P&G into saying, basically, We'll do anything just don't cancel us & CBS said for each soap. ATWT did not have pod storytelling before that time.

Yes, of course, you are correct. The only, one time, Lila drove story was the "Pickalila" story. Skye bascially represented potential, unrealized though. Maybe we've left out only one - Lois. BTW, about Heather, I am pretty sure it was Patrick who wanted to salvage her. Absolutely no idea what it was that caught his attention. I just know it was what I was told at the time. However, this may be totally wrong because when Alley was interviewed by Michael Fairman after the Emmy nominations were announced, she specifically said that the idea about the cobalt poisoning came from Chris Van Etten. Probably all that it is safe to say is that the Writing Team wanted to keep Heather on the canvas for some unknown reason.

So, Bobbie & Tiffany are the past. Tiffany, during her time, was definitely A, I'd say. Bobbie was also definitely A during her hey-day but as time went on, drifted downward to C, I'd guess. Unfortunately we have to also consider Monica as past. She was always A, wasn't she? Lesley also is past & also used to be A but as time wore on became probably B. What about Skye? What about Lila? Now here's something new & I've said it for years & years & I agree with this! If you look at Emmy reels, there's always a scene partner that is holding up half of the sky! RN was always there & he would've caught Kim if she'd needed him to. He's also a really nice person, is grounded. Of all of the very very many people at GL that I was introduced to between 1999 & 2005, he was one of the ones who remembered my name, put it with my face, etc. (This also applies to Jill Lorie Hurst, Liz Keifer, Maureen Garrett & Ellen Wheeler.) Beverlee seriously disliked losing! I totally love the story of the night she & Victoria lost to someone (either Laurie Heinmann [SP?] the first Sharlene or Irene Daily) & the two of them went directly to the first place that served liquor & took a table & drank & talked for hours.

Seen nothing & heard nothing from Karen since several days before the event. Waiting on 2 IDs from Suzanne.

Victoria will only reply to one person I know of in email. And, she has said that she is through with soaps. I don't know how much you are up on things, but VW has said that she was literally lost for about 7 years. She left CT & her precious horses & moved to California. It was through art that she found herself again. A new teacher & a new medium, watercolor. But, since then she's moved on to very large canvases & acrylics. So, in truth she HAS vanished. Anna Holbrook This morning I read what James posted about Anna Holbrook & it includes the bad news about David Forsyth. Was thrilled to meet and talk with the brilliant Anna Holbrook who played #anotherworld Sharlene Frame Matthews Watts Hudson from 1988-1991, 1993-1997 and 1999. Found out, much like Judith Light, she never really wanted to do soaps, but Anna felt Sharlene was a challenging character, and she understood how losing someone in war could change them (her dad died in Vietnam, just as Sharlene’s husband did). She shared the sad news that David Forsyth who played John Hudson suffered a stroke seven years ago and was not doing well. You were right about Nadine Stenovich & also Diego Serrano. I also loved Gail Brown/Clarice Ewing but I won't go as far as to say she was as important as Rachel & as Iris. I also loved Jane/Nancy. Now here are some pictures from James, in my forum, I'll include what he wrote about Barbara Rodell. This is what daytime soap royality looks like. Barbara Rodell began her soap opera career on the short lived A Flame in the Wind, playing Linda Skerba in 1965. She took over the role of Lee Randolph on #anotherworld in 1967 until her character was killed off in a car crash. She next became the popular Jill Claybourn on #TheSecretStorm for two years till that characterwas killed in a plane crash. During a casting roundelay between #TheSecretStorm and #guidinglight Rodell took over the part of Leslie Jackson Bauer from 1971 to 1973 while Lynne Adams who had previously played the role took over the part of Amy Kincaid on #TheSecretStorm. Barbara, according to Daytime TV polls, became the most popular Leslie, but when Lynne Adams returned, Barbara was given the role of Joyce Coleman on #astheworldturns from 1974-1981. For those who may remember as the world turns during this time, Joyce gave Lisa a good taste of her own medicine. I got the honor of talking with Ms. Rodell for a few minutes, explaining how much I enjoyed her as Joyce. She told me how much she loved working with James Douglas who played her ex-husband (and Lisa’s love interest), Grant Coleman. When Joyce had to shoot Grant, Barbara called James up and told him how upset she was that she had to do that and James Douglas said to her “That is why you play this part so beautifully. If they hired a real b$&ch to play this, it wouldn’t work. You bring your goodness and heart to her, and that’s why the audience keeps you here.” I asked if she was approached in 1976 when Lynn Adams again wanted to leave the part of Leslie on guiding light if she wanted to go back there having such a success in that role. She said she was not approached about that. When I said, I was sorry that she did not continue and soaps. After leaving the part of Joyce. She did tell me she was offered to be an actresses replacement during her pregnancy on #onelifetolive but that she turned that down. I am assuming that was for Erica Slezak and that the part then went to Christine Jones. Ms. Rodell told me that she is awaiting the publication of a book that she has written. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the name, but we can search Amazon under her name and hopefully that book will come up. Ricky Paull Goldin

venicetheseries is not an extension of or a continuation of Otalia! If anything it is a refutation of it's limitations!! It literally began with the lovers physically consummating, something Otalia was denied. And the idea that Otalia was over hyped is hilarious! It got no promotion from the show AT ALL! The only "hype" it got was word of mouth by & from fans & a tiny bit from LGBT press. People here largely share a huge set of biases that they enjoy reinforcing in each other. Rarely does one read a fresh idea here. You, me & all of a sudden Veleka are oddballs. One thing I forgot to say. If people do not like Tom Pelphrey & so Jonathan Randall, well, there's no way they'd be into Jami, ya know? Strictly common sense there. Thanks so much for expressing some fresh new ideas. I have rewatched the last 3 days about 6 times & I weep every time. Now, to correct some errors of fact. EW did give interviews after GL. Yes, she left daytme. Most people who used to be in daytime are no longer. Surely it cannot have escaped notice that there's not enough of it to go around. EW when last I heard was President of a Girl Empowerment organization.

I posted this pic of her in my forum & she dropped by & said that she calls pictures like this one, "Baby Raven". Sharon Rose Gabet is pretty active in EON fandom. But she is on Facebook, which I know you don't care for. Also she played Brittany on Another World & she shot Peter & she went on trial & it was a stunt where the audience was the jury. They found her guilty! Well, we found a video where you could clearly see it was self-defense. Well, she was so tickled that after all these years we could prove her innocence. It was a trip!!

Very amusing. My opinion about why Blaze has sticking power has zero to do with my liking both the character & the pairing. Bias - although it clearly exists - is totally irrelevant, but thanks so much for caring. And, also I agree about things not being set in stone. Seems to me I used words like "pretty sure". Her professional name is Blaze. Her given name is Alison & she goes by Ali with friends.

I'm pretty sure Kraze is here to stay, so, wishing & hoping for Blaze to be gone is likely a waste. Natalia, she sure looks more like Brenda than anyone else, so I'm thinking she is Sonny's type, if he actually has one. I really got some pleasure from him putting down Ava today & then her facial expression for the final scene. Good Lord, if looks could kill, Natalia will expire between now & tomorrow! And, here, I've seriously considered shipping Chrome (Corinthos + Jerome). They've not asked me but I think Blaze's guitarist brother should remain offscreen. Oh, yes, one thing I meant to say about Violet. I think Frank and D&C loved her, guessing Frank still does. I believe it was their intent to create another Robin or Emma, which when I think about it make me so very sad for them, also I feel sorry for us, the fans. That child lives in Florida & I would like it very much if the commute was too much for her!

Who is Olive? I don't know if you know it or not, but Claire Labine pitched Olivia & Holly! Can you imagine if they had told that story *then* and with Labine writing it?!!! Phenomenal!!!
