  1. I will make a note of it! Yeah, I get what you two are getting at. Sigh, flounce, oh, one signature move, pulling earrings off to talk on the phone. Also rising inflection, sharp intake of breath before saying a word, like ... gasp Victoria!
  2. My mistake. I thought I'd treat you like a real, actual, ordinary poster instead of a troll. You manage to take care of that in short order.
  3. Great!! Thanks, always ... and forever!
  4. I found it. It's in Kim Wells new group, that I posted about here last week. Unfortunately, at the moment there is a problem with the audio. Get back to you.
  5. Agree, agree, agree. Well said & great insights. Yes, about this, I am basically heartsick. I know I'm going to feel cheated. I never expected to have so much hope for a more classic sense of daytime to reappear on our canvases. Having been teased now with what might have been, I am pissed. We do not know if he was fired or if he quit. This is assuming facts not in evidence. But, hey, you can be just as happy that he is gone, whichever way it went. No one is raining on your particular parade.
  6. The baby was enormous, but totally adorable lol. Before we get too far down the road I wanted to say something about Baby Blanket. I was one who was totally dubious of the very idea of using a blanket in the place of an infant. Now, I am forced to say that I was wrong, wrong, wrong! After I got more used to the idea, the blanket was used very effectively. And I can easily imagine how it was a boon to production not to have to deal with twins or triplets & strict timing of what is allowable! Now, I thought both Thursday & Friday last week were good days. Now I can add today in, also. I loved, totally loved Suzanne in that banana orange suit. Also I haven't said but I am so pleased that Suzanne will be honored at this year's Daytime Emmys. Much & well deserved. There was no one on today that bothered me. Kudos again & again to Ari & to Greg. Comparing DID storylines to things like the old Mission Impossible impersonating latex masks, well, there just is NO comparison. I'll take DID over those damn masks any day. I thought it was very sensitive of Holly to realize what this must be doing to Eric. Great that she crossed the room just to give him this huge hug. I appreciate the writing remembering that Eric & Holly have a real, authentic relationship. Because of the previews I was startled at it seeming like Sloan has vanished. We know we'll be seeing her again soon. I agree with the questions being raised about BobEverett living two lives back in Seattle. We know from previous fictional accounts of people with DID that there are odd, quizzical things about their lives. When the gatekeeper persona is trying to keep other alters from knowing what's going on, a lot of weird stuff is happening. Also did the "coma" actually exist? The most famous DID stories that have been dramatized but are "based on truth" stories had many personalities, not just two. Stephanie has been written so stupid that I question whether she will be able to persuade or trick BobEverett back into therapy. I liked Xander dubbing them Hurricane Alex & Tornado Theresa.
  7. Well, me, I just go back to this "modesty code" which originally just applied to AS's clothing, so not much cleavage, how much leg is shown, etc. I tried to do some reading about "modesty codes" & found out that different people, different groups, different religions all interpret it "differently" so I wonder if the issue of simulated sex scenes isn't just an extension of that. I can easily imagine that shedding clothing would be a "modesty" issue. My objection remains the same. If you can't do essential scenes, then, why have a romantic pairing? To me, you shouldn't. It doesn't mean, to me anyway, that I am calling for them to be fired. I just think it's stupid to write romance if you're not going to play SEX. However, I am okay with some few characters being ineligible for romance.
  8. Was that when Jordan got into trouble with drugs again?
  9. Understood! Thanks for the reply. Yes, odd coinkidink!!!
  10. https://rumble.com/v40isu4-guiding-light-february-1973-death-of-papa-bauer-bert-ed-mike-bauer.html That's funny to me because she was a temp replacement once on AW for Anna Stuart's Donna Love.
  11. Who you calling flighty?!! I'm only half way serious but if you ever talked to Anna you would know how dead-on serious she was about character, scene analysis, etc.
  12. Oh good. Confirmation. I haven't seen that. Go look for it.
  13. I posted about this at the time. I was hoping you'd follow up with an episode # with an A at the end & now you have. My post is a few pages back, but this is what's pertinent from it: The scene with Joss & Michael at a table was a filler which was added later. The info is from the same person who gets the weekly previews slightly early. She knew about the production change, ahead of time. Her name is Angela Ryan-Duncan & her TwiX name is @brookelynn74 They did list her with the other script writer. This is what I posted the other day, at the time. On 5/23/2024 at 9:33 AM, Contessa Donatella said: So, yesterday was sorta interesting. GH Wed., 5-22-24, Epi 49 of PM/EK. Breakdown Chris Van Etten & Lucky Gold, Scriptwriter Stacy Pulwer & Cathy LePard. The scene with Michael & Joss at a table was a filler scene. It was added later. (But, didn't it fit so nicely?)
  14. Just finished the female Doctor Who. Also got up to date again with Hacks.
  15. Thanks very much for the tag. I think I saw a red flag when he said, "economic theoreticians". I mean why not say economic theorists if you simply must say that phrase in your pilot episode. And here is a cell of the strip.
  16. Well, you're looking at it from a particular point of view, which I respect, although I'm not saying a word about what the creators & producers of these new video soaps which are produced for the web call themselves or anything like that. If I were to guess I'd say they go by what the NATAS information says. The point of view I am talking about is what people see & read in media or on wikis, etc. And also what ordinary fans tend to think of when they hear a term. And, if you don't see how "web soap" could be confusing and confused between written/prose serial and filmed serial, then, I'm not at all sure what else could be said, so I'll just leave it at that. One thing I do know is that I am not willing to stand & die on this hill. I literally have no horse in the race. Two of us here in this thread, read it & automatically thought of our favorite filmed serial produced for the web. If there are two, then there could be many. Anyway, it's not my problem.
  17. Now this is a totally minority position here, which is not a problem. But, I have no problem seeing romantic & sexual chem in the two actors, even though as noted I object to their perspective on doing scenes their characters would tend to have. So, this ...
  18. A Bing featured image of a valley in Washington state
  19. I don't know why this is being started up again but many places when web soaps are spoken about what they are talking about and the shows that they list are shows like Venicetheseries and Anacostia and about a dozen more. They definitely are not talking about written serials. So please do not label this valid issue as nonsense. There are many references online which support this.
  20. I have been following along but not said anything. Now I wish to say that this is driving me crazy. That is all.
  21. So this comes under the heading of "things I was told". Accept it or not, as is your pleasure. But, it is true. NLG was as you could imagine very excited to have Patrick writing scenes she would share with Lane Davies. And, then when the taping was concluded, she was entirely & completely dissatisfied with the result. Now, I tell this for one reason only because it is so totally "Nancy"!!! It is what it is.
  22. I ran into a LOTD last night, I had jotted it down, about a month ago, and I just had to laugh. "No more secrets - ever." -Sloan to Eric Yeah, right. I am not personally perturbed by another DID story. So far I do not care for Felicity but that could be me being slow to warm up to new folk. It may be perverse but I rather like the fact that Chanel is avoiding Paulina. Anything at all to make these characters even slightly more interesting. Honestly, I don't know many who have bored me as much as I am bored with these people in Salem right now. I hate this Kaiser Permanente ad!!!
