I agree, always have, that it was a terribly flawed mistake to kill off Sally. But, I also want to say that there is nothing at all bad about the "Vicky Show". I know so many AW fans who are younger than me & the reason AW became their show is ANNE HECHE. I would have always wanted to have Vicky substantially as we did have her.

The gruesome onscreen murder of Frankie Frame, wife, mother of a small child, PI, possibly a legacy character, possibly a core family member. But, the show, and P&G certainly should have hired & retained & well-used a high caliber HW. After those 2 items, not having to fight with NBC perpetually.

People who declare fi-core status are dues-paying members who are eligible for certain benefits that accrue to them, but they can never vote, never hold office, never chair a committee, never serve on a committee, never compete for or receive any award. Fi-core came out of a lawsuit in an industry totally unrelated to soaps or entertainment. The WGA had no choice about fi-core. They had to implement it.
