  1. Oh, I know. I was the exception to the rule. I ate it up. The humanity, the DRAHMA. But, I know of plenty of people who groan & say "Too depressing!". No, I think your OG thought is correct.
  2. Yes & no. They addressed her not being there. Something about how awkward it all was when the truth came out. And, that being why she left & stayed away. I'm not sure it was very satisfactory to the fans that were bugged about it. And, Vee is correct, but it was the kind of topic drift that many people say fits.
  3. God, it's been so long. Also there were parts I didn't see. (On a break) I know he wronged Sonny & he was a gold-digger with Craig. I likely don't know about Will but I should recall Tripp & Johnny, but I just don't. Thinking about Leo makes my brain tired. And I know with Uncle Ron back it's gonna be more & more of him. His quoting Shakespeare set my teeth on edge & I was an English major in a former life!
  4. 1950-ish, an actress actually named Susan was a hit in several movies & then had an awful car accident & ended up in a wheelchair for life, paralyzed from the waist down. Someone came up with an idea for her to play an attorney on a soap, as is. Pretty much the audience hated it & felt they were trying to play on their sympathies & make them feel sorry for her. (And, they kinda were.) Didn't last long. Then, sadly, she died within the next year. Sorry but I can't remember the two last names, real and reel. Oddly it is the first known example of star billing & one of these collectors actually found the opening for me. Plus, he gave it to me! They make a nice cottage industry side hustle, selling rare & unusual videos or digital files of them. If anyone wants his email address, I can oblige. I don't care about Gregory at all either but I felt the death montage was brilliant. Before that I was just Aw Phooey, come on & die.
  5. Having not been fortunate enough to see anything before summer 1970, I'll have to take your word for it. I just mentioned it from the medical POV, not the political. Certainly in the 90s with Stone & AIDS & Robin & HIV & Monica's breast cancer, we were about as detailed as one probably could get.
  6. Grudgingly I gave Easton major props for that scene today. It reminded me that he is a talented actor who has been criminally underused. What does this mean? Agnes, at GL, Bert's uterine cancer, was legendary. At AW Irna had Pat have an illegal abortion & become sterile as a result. (Later went away, of course, and had twins.) Of course, Miss Susan had an actual woman in a wheelchair & the audience was offended.
  7. It is funny to me. They were so worried about that recast. They did an elaborate makeover to make him look as much like PR then, as they could. And, as it has turned out that is the look Robert has worn the whole rest of his life.
  8. Yes, he & Miriam would sit in her room & read poetry & when she became legal then they began dating openly. They married & had a daughter & were together for years but now they are divorced. And as to the rest, you probably read what I wrote. A very close friend of mine is a close friend of Robert's and he schooled me on what he has done to turn his life around & when I learned of this I checked with Crystal to see if it was true & she verified that it was. And she was one who previously had spoken about how rough he was with her & how she was even afraid of him. I believe it is also in her memoir, the bad treatment I mean. (Chappell) The implication is that he is a changed man.
  9. You know it was the network who wanted it to be a Dallas wannbe. The original idea was totally different.
  10. When Robert was drinking & when he had what we could call severe attitude problems, yes, very likely.
  11. I only mentioned it because it was like she was 2 for 2. Robert has made amends to as many of his co-stars as would listen. In effect they all forgave him except for Lisa, who wasn't having any of it at all. That had nothing to do with his ex-wife Miriam who is the mother of his only child, a teen daughter who he loves & why he remains in St. Louis & flies now for a living. Also he doesn't drink any more.
  12. And then she hated RKK. At times I have wondered what that was about. Does she hate almost anyone?
  13. John, it doesn't dictate their story. I'm suggesting that it should. IOW, if you're not going to say you will play then you can't say you do.
  14. [Ahem] uh, we are NOT having an off topic rant here. We are discussing actors on our shows who are not comfortable playing love scenes. And, a bunch of us think it is not okay. Capiche? And about Steve Burton, people talked about him & it endlessly & it has been noted how many love scenes he has done at DAYS & also how good he & TB are together. And, they have even attributed that to trusting each other because they have known each other for so long.
  15. This has gotten to be ridiculous. It has nothing at all to do with sexual harassment. That is an issue that can & should be remedied. All any of us is saying is that if you are not willing to pretend to have sex then you have no business being an actor. Most jobs do not require you to pretend this. Get another job!
  16. Loved Molly, also Henry, Lucinda, Lily, Lucinda's butler Matthew, Carly, Jack, Tom, Margo, Emily, Paul, Barbara, Lisa, I could go on. Katie, well, Katie was rather limited IMO. So I objected to Goutman's making her the centre of everything.
  17. To me it is simple. If you will not play the romantic scenes that are required, then you cannot have a romantic pairing. So, you limit the stories that can be told about your character. If after time your character becomes unimportant to the canvas, then, things will take their rightful course, and your character will be written to move to Outer Mongolia. And, that's that.
  18. And on TwiX there's this dedicated group of ChaLynn fans & they are posting ALL these GIFs and ALL these Edits showing what they perceive to be this Grand Romance. And, also getting onto people who express the opinion that they should get other jobs if they feel this way. I am not amused.
  19. Very well said. But, about Kristina & why they are doing this. They are doing it for the overarching story elements. 1. Some people had to at least start out on Sonny's side. 2. Krissy has long been a "Daddy's girl" so she was an obvious choice. As it is, Sonny's side only had Ava, Dante & Krissy.
  20. Also, when asked about it, Goutman said, basically, that Katie was everyone's sweetheart. I nearly plotzed. I mean what show was he watching?!!!
  21. I guess different stroke for different folks. I love the Kraze love song, "It Might Be Love" & I loved this one from the wedding. That's only 2 but that's all I got. Oops. I thought the music selection for Gregory's death montage was excellent. I understand it was used for AJ but I was not watching then. But, this makes 3, not 2.
  22. I may regret this, but here goes. I am aware that Kate does not "follow" or "friend" her co-star. All that means is that they are not personal friends. It means they are just colleagues, which is often the case with scene partners. It does not imply hatred. So, if you truly believe there is hatred, where is your proof? Do you have the receipts? Can you in any sense back this up?
  23. My only point to him was that Michael Easton is not in any of the 5 group shots nor is he in either of the 2 banners. This suggests to me that in fact as some of us have heard, he is outta there, and not just on recurring status. As far as fan art goes, yes, he did the Eric Braeden treatment with his. Mostly I just am like, okay you did this. I really don't tend to like them. I do agree that we need a new opener. I do not myself know what would be best. I am partial to seeing the building. One thing I've been thinking about. I think yesterday was originally intended to be last Friday's show & they got off a day because of the eclipse. Just seems to me like Friday in Sweeps, not a Monday.
