  1. I'm churning a month of max. Hacks which I totally love & I had no idea Jean Smart could sing. The Rock Hudson doc, which was totally disappointing. I didn't even learn anything new. The Kevin Spacey doc, which I found to be quite good. The Normal Heart, which I'd never seen for some unknown reason & I really enjoyed it. Now I'm watching Doctor Who, the female doctor. That was when I fell off of regularly staying up to date on the Whoverse. Enjoying it. If there were only another season of Julia I'd be on it.
  2. If they had acquired either AW or DAYS during that time period, you figure canning OLTL & giving its space to the NBC show would've been their go to? At the time there was considerable speculation that they were going to air 5 hours again like they did when EON was on. Of course speculation is not compelling. When do you think NBC stopped caring about DAYS & soaps in general?
  3. AI is programmed with specific knowledge. It can't learn but there are things that it knows. I spend time with AI, trying to catch it in errors, yes, but also using some information that it provides that seems bonafide. I do not consider what I posted random. Hmm, that was just the beginning of the post. Necessary to get past it to get to the rest of post. The starting point, but not the point.
  4. Ya know, I don't want to diminish anyone's expressions of speculation, theory, opinion, etc. but I would find it 97% unlikely that a firing like this would be over one anything, one character, one issue, one storyline, etc. I also don't believe that Patrick would have been against Heather & cobalt poisoning.
  5. 1. Good summary. 2. My bold of Vee: I believe this was both true & as immediate as was the issue over scene length.
  6. And, when Lynn Martin spoke about this I talked to a friend, former HW, and she said this has been going on ever since FiCore got established. Before FiCore if they hired a scab to write in non-strike time, that was hiring a non-union member to do a union member's job & the union fined the show for doing that. But, once the scabs being hired were FiCore, well, they were dues-paying members of the union, so, the union would NOT fine the show. Naturally, but it's a kind of catch-22.
  7. This is true of Julianne Moore! Loved this also about Anne Heche! It is also true of Sarah Lancashire, a Brit, though. Last year when she won Britain's highest drama award she thanked by name her directors from when she was at her first job on CORRIE!!!
  8. Ellen Weston, Ellen Weston, Ellen Weston, AND not only was Maryanne Carruthers bad & insulting she also created the ... wait for it ... SOCK PUPPET!!! A character actually had to use a sock puppet & pretend he was speaking alternately through it. OY. John Conboy was out of his mind hiring her. She wrote that the young adults began tunneling, adventuring & discovering the old tunnels running under the city. So, under is below, right? Well, somehow, they crashed through the ceiling of Michelle & Danny's apartment. But, that would be UP, wouldn't it? This was writing? To say that her ideas were not well thought out is the grossest of understatements! Maryanne Carruthers was created to hire her good friend Carrie Nye. No derivation is known for sock puppet or tunneling under/over or Eden being a madam or Ben Reade becoming first a sex worker & then a serial killer & finally a suicide of a legacy character. (At least when Matt Bomer speaks of it, it is a hilarious story.)
  9. What a summary, sheesh, but, yeah, right on the money. And, speaking of, I was talking to my great friend at the studio, about the color palette & Wally not being available for fittings but then I brought up all of Ned's great lines & mentioned there being so many great lines & he tossed off, Love her or hate her Elizabeth Korte was on top of the writing for this wedding. So, I'll just let that statement lie there.
  10. Figured that. I mean, a dead ringer.
  11. Ten? More like thirty, lol. But, I have consistently maintained that it is 15! Shall we now fight over these numbers?!!
  12. Charlotte Ross, OG Eve Donovan, has a new song out. And I posted with her on Twi/X & she's got some project that she can't talk about yet.
  13. I liked him, too, although I groaned when I heard they were putting him on contract. At this point, I think Frank ought to have some sort of quota. If he keeps on hiring contract players, I just don't know if the show is gonna explode!
  14. I remember in the article I read that there had been something about a prior soap now that you mention it. As always thanks.
  15. The guy on the right looks like someone I knew in real life BITD whose name was David A. Stampley. I don't suppose it's him, is it?
  16. Very amusing. I've been told that Sally Sussman was in charge & that Shari Anderson was writing on the team. I have no confirmation. I'll be sure & see what AI thinks & get back to you!!! AI replies: Yes, during the writer's strike in 2023, Sally Sussman was in charge at DAYS and Shari Anderson was writing on the team. Other writers who worked with Sally Sussman and Shari Anderson at DAYS during the 2023 writer's strike included Mark Smith, Jennifer Johnson, and Chris Whitesell. So, what do we think about this?!! I'm going to add 2 things here. 1. I posted this because I have a sincere desire to learn who wrote at DAYS during the 2023 strike. 2. Changing to GH, the wedding we've just had. Shawn Reeves, Costume Designer at GH, told me that Korte stayed on top of the writing for the wedding. I can imagine why a wedding might need someone riding herd on it especially. I know that for the 2021 Jarly wedding Korte let it be known that she had personally overseen the writing for it & the scenes around it. I wonder if she's not developing a specialty of taking care of weddings. But, I post it only because it would seem to be an appropriate footnote to knowledge of the writing GH 5-15 through 5-17.
  17. Both Wesley Eure & Deidre Hall were on both shows at the same time. I am unaware of any connection. What do you mean by timeline? Eure spoke many times about shooting one in the morning & the other in the afternoon. At one job crying because his girlfriend had leukemia & the other screaming & running away in front of green screen. Jane Elliot met Deidre on Elektra Woman & saw her DAYS script & inquired & then told her agent she wanted to go up for a soap. It appealed to her that Dee had this steady gig.
  18. I admit that in the past, in a bad mood about Alarr, I wished it. But, it wasn't a feeling that remained.
  19. He's posted about it quite a bit, which is unusual. Usually he posts generic greetings, or about SOM or about bipolar, rarely about GH. What he's posted has been a lot of excitement about it. The other actors who have said in person, or posted about being excited about their scripts when they receive them & their scenes, etc. include: Steve, Bradford, Finola, Cynthia, Maura, Laura, Adam (Cates), Adam (Nik), Kirsten, ... I think that covers it. Someone will add if I'm leaving someone out.
  20. More Wedding Pictures (ABC) https://spoutible.com/thread/31543515 https://spoutible.com/thread/31543542 https://spoutible.com/thread/31543572 https://spoutible.com/thread/31543634 https://spoutible.com/thread/31543670
  21. They also say "We know things." quite a bit, it seems to me. And, I observed that some things they 'knew' were not true.
  22. Sorry. I knew that Shapiro tried to get AW but didn't know they tried to get DAYS as well. So I was just temporarily dense as a rock.
  23. Okay, I know I'm having a bad week but I don't understand: what fighting did ABC do having to do with DAYS?
  24. Okay, probably everyone knows this but in case someone doesn't, the rest of you hold off on posting while they guess. 3 women on B&B. There's a fight on the set. Two women fighting over the third woman. A producer had to come out of the booth & break it up, literally.
  25. Oh, darn. This is just not a good week.
