ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
This is the second time in one day that this show has come up to me when, previously, I'd never even heard of it. Me thinks the Universe wants me to give it a try LOL

Janet Jackson Appreciation Thread
Janet's announced she's working on new music! I don't know why I should get excited about that, considering her last two or three albums, but I am, especially since it seems Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis might be involved -- and that's what she's always needed.

Dynasty Discussion Thread
Just started Season 6. The so-called "Aftermath" is just as bad, if not worse, as I've been told. But, then again, nothing about DYNASTY is ever good past season 3, so.... The worst stuff is probably Blake being present for the death of the second of Steven's lovers, clearly disapproving, only to come on the next scene, having changed his mind and accepted Steven's 'values' for absolutely no reason whatsoever, Krystle managing to fend off a rape from Yuri by slapping him and looking at him sternly, Warnick (the obvious placeholder for Alexis) supposedly being so powerful but dishing out NO consequences to the completely insubordinate prisoners, Fallon managing to get Miles Colby to ask her out just be existing and, dear God, Krystle crying in her cell, literally saying out loud that she's waiting for Blake to save her. Rita/Sammy Jo are bad but at least fun to watch, in a trainwreck sort of way. And a bit funny. The only interesting part was Krystle discovering that Galen is indeed alive. You know, that showed the revolutionaries had half a brain or something. Although they're terribly polite. They talk about executing everyone but never do it and let people walk all over them lol And seeing Miles for the first time on screen. DAMN, that man is hot. On the other hand, the whole episode was almost worth it when Warnick propositioned Dominique and offered her champagne, to which she replied: "I don't drink with assass-INS" I mean, I nearly died. Best Dominique moment EVER.

With that hair? I don't doubt it! But, in all seriousness, with Lauren's involvement with Sheila (and Brad's) spanning for years and Lauren leaving for L.A. relatively soon after, I doubt there was ever any good time to do that. Lauren would literally be going from psycho to psycho LOL Now, if this has happened in the early 2000s, though... that might have been fun.

That's great, Carl! This is most likely something from the week of November 07-11. Thanks!

Another World Discussion Thread
I found a random ANOTHER WORLD episode from 1988 in my collection -- can anyone help me identify around when it was broadcast? In it, Iris has recently started work at Cory again (and seems to be up to no good...) and there's Felicia being asked to write her autobiography and reacting very negatively to it. Do we know what month?

Supergirl: Discussion Thread
SUPERGIRL, as an actress, came off MUCH better here than I thought she would. I'm not quite sure why this is a rom com with a klutzy girl cliche that just happens to fly type of thing, but at least a lot of the FX don't look horrible and I guess it stands a chance. I'll be trying it out. Also, Mehcad Brooks.

The Doctors Discussion Thread
I am criminally behind -- watching January 1968 episodes -- and I can't believe it... Retro's already on 1969 episodes? That's great! Steve and Carolee are breaking my heart. Steve is such a cad. Openly and shamelessly flirting with Liz right after bringing Carolee home from their first date. I have to say, Steve was very sexy the way he wouldn't take his eyes off Liz and leaned in towards her. I don't have a ton of patience for the Polly story (I do think it's wonderfully acted and has some scenes, here and there, that I love) but when Polly was having John write the letter to her nieces and she said she is getting ready to die... Oh my God, John's reaction was heartbreaking. I just don't understand why there had to be six minutes of material in that scene before we got to that point. This show just tends to break my heart a lot.
