  1. Andrew would look cute screaming in an underground cage. Just saying Dimitri, he's right there and let your DiMera freak on.
  2. To be fair, I think things like "Body and Soul" would've worked if the rest of the show was intriguing as it would've probably felt like a welcome interlude to what else was going on; in-jokes can work (see the Twin Peaks characters watching a soap opera), but only if everything else is juicy and good, otherwise it just comes off as a distraction to hide the faulty writing overall.
  3. Just tempt her with a Daytime Emmy and she'll do it. It'll be marvelous dah-link.
  4. If Deidre Hall can play Deidre Hall, why can't she play four (or maybe three because Megan killed one) Marlenas? They're just going to be differentiated by the colour of their suit anyway but maybe not even that because the budget won't allow it. Maybe they can have different accents!
  5. Also, Pam finally shows her backbone again by vowing to fight JR 'til her last breath for Christopher's custody as JR only uses and abuses people - again, a lost opportunity to amp up the war between Pam and JR. Not according to some! I think people genuinely confuse Hagman's natural charm with JR's vile ways; same as confusing Linda and Larry's immense chemistry with Swellin' and JR being in love. It's a huge credit to the actors though for selling it.
  6. Season 5 really takes the cake with the whole JR/Cliff thing and whose the most sociopathic - and the prize as always goes to JR. Cliff might be obsessed with destroying the Ewings and JR BUT he actually shows remorse. He shows emotions when he [!@#$%^&*] up and that's ironically his biggest weakness; meanwhile JR just keeps wheelin' and dealin' throughout the season no matter what comes his way. He literally shows no real emotions, even selling what he thinks is his son for some shares. And to top it off, he uses the abuser handbook 101 on Sue Ellen by working HARD to get her isolated; he gets rid of both Clay and Cliff, men who've she's depended on and trusted, just to get her back on Southfork. Not so romantic when you look at it that way, eh?
  7. Well, at least one of the clones is dead since Megan mentioned using it for Marlena's apparent "death" (which raises the question if Megan had the clone killed?). Also, I think Tommy Horton was mentioned as being alive like ten years ago. I'm not sure if they've mentioned him dying since then.
  8. Manhattan Lives was Body & Soul lol
  9. They're resurrecting the Marlena spin-off that never happened?
  10. I've been re-watching Dallas a bit and the change they do to Pam's character between seasons 4 and 5 is so incredibly jarring. While the back-and-forth with the baby stuff is mildly annoying in those first four seasons, ultimately it's about a woman asserting her rights to bodily autonomy despite immense pressure to throw caution to the wind and produce a heir. Then in the season 5 premiere Bobby suddenly mentions that "Pam's been so high and low" and a few episodes later she's gone so looney she's catatonic and ready to jump off roofs - at that point I'm surprised the writers didn't just throw in that she had a wandering uterus causing her to go insane! Like, I get that it's a set up for them to adopt Kristin's baby but they could've handled it much better wrecking Pam as a character.
  11. IIRC, she wanted to know it was the actual final episode in order to do a reappearance and they couldn't promise her that as it wasn't officially cancelled at that point.
  12. Kenny and Ginger's decoration in season one is hilarious, especially the whole bean bags/pillows instead of couches, just to show off what a swingin' couple they are! When Kenny's finally kicked out for a bit Ginger apparently went on a splurge and bought herself a couple of proper furniture.
  13. She became a billionaire selling beauty products and didn't need to back-track on her decision to leave 🤷
  14. What's surprising is that Edge of Night's male demo is nothing special, especially since the story has always been that it was male skewing.
  15. I mean, they obviously used the same sets for Karen and Abby's house and the Ewing and Avery house in the first seasons at least.
  16. Then change the warderobe? LOL, what an weird non-issue.
  17. JR was afraid of Gary because he was unpredictable and he couldn't control him; if Gary actually ever got his [!@#$%^&*] together he felt like he would be a force to be reckoned with. Hence why he wanted Gary out and away from Southfork. He even said as much. In comparison, Bobby was predictable and he could calculate his moves. So much he mortaged her beloved Southfork in a risky deal and constantly tried to chase away her two other sons I think people confuse Larry and Linda's chemistry with JR and Sue Ellen loving each other; I don't think JR was capable of love. If anything it seemed more like both very obsessively possessive and couldn't stand the thought of the other finding happiness elsewhere. They were by all accounts a toxic couple and in real life you'd probably want them both as far away from each other as possible. Sue Ellen was the wife JR deserved though. I've always said that there's two ways to end the series - either with JR getting everything he thinks he wants - ie Ewing Oil and dominance in business, but his personal life ends up wrecked because of it and ultimately ends up alone on top. Or he loses Ewing Oil, but finds personal happiness. But he can't have both.
  18. Well, you know, except for all those times he tried to literally destroy Gary, Bobby and their wives.
  19. I think the simpler reason is that it's just cheaper to produce one hour of a show as opposed to two half hour shows, hence the failed 90 minute Another World experiment.
  20. I love how even when they dress Dee Hall up in 80s gear she's wearing a damn suit.
  21. I love that part because it always makes me laugh so hard 😅 In the season premiere they completely forget that the winery was flooded with wine, but there's no sign of it in the follow up scenes.
  22. You mean "Pedur, Pedur".
  23. They actually DID want her back for a few scenes to die on camera but she turned them down lol.
