  1. NJ is officially dead. No use in reviving it. All the women are toxic at this point. Give us a new city and new women. Let this show fall to the wayside like Dallas and DC. This also needs to scare all the other cities into getting their sh*t together.
  2. Melinda lusting and calling Brad the sexiest man alive was hilarious. IDK how that was said with such a straight face. They were really trying to force feed him down the viewers' throats.
  3. I had no idea that Margo McKenna also did a stint on ATWT until as well. I assume that this was after EON, right? Did she pop up on any soaps after this? As more clips emerge, it is so odd to see Peter Reckell in a role other than Bo. I am interested to see what his feelings and memories were while on ATWT. I hope someone presents the recent clips to him and we get commentary from him. I am glad that clips of Rick Ryan are starting to appear to. He has always been one of the many ATWT characters that I've wanted to see clips emerge. I will always stand firm that during the Sheffer years, Hunt Block should've been cast as the dastardly Rick Ryan instead of Craig. The same stories they had Hunt played could've still been played with him as Rick, but instead of him marrying Babs, he would've simply been her brother. And instead of making Babs go off the deep end, Babs could've been a pariah for simply covering for her brother's heinous acts. That would've also prevented Craig's character growth from being assassinated.
  4. I don't foresee Viv sticking around long-term either. I think she loves having creative control and having a partnership with Lifetime. VR would be the most logical choice on this show seeing as fans tuned out of Y&R in droves when Dru was killed. Also, with the right promo of her return to daytime, CBS would instantly get eyes on the show.
  5. Why were so many women sacrificed at the altar for Brad Hollister? He looks skeevy and repulsive from the few clips I've seen of him over the years. To those who were watching at the time, was Brad heavily featured and forced down the viewer's throats? I've said this before in this thread, but I feel like possibly the show was trying to have its own Luke Spencer as it appears that aesethic became popular with casting directors in daytime around that time.
  6. Are these retreat episodes that Ariana is posting when Melinda dies in the boating accident?
  7. The new site (via the preview) looks sleeker; however, I hate that all those character profiles are going to be lost in the ether forever. However, kudos to Dan Kroll for making bank on his site.
  8. Thank you for confirmation. See! They could've easily had Karen come back that last decade or so to stick to Lucinda by shacking up with John. That would've given all three of them something to do instead of being "talk-to" characters.
  9. You're welcome @DRW50! Does anyone know the backstory of Tom directing a rendition of Dracula? Was this like community theatre? This feels like an odd story to put Tom in. I always felt that Karen would've been a good character to be brought back to go at odds with Lucinda over John. I feel she would've given ole' Lucy a run for her money. I know the SOC profiles aren't always accurate but they state Karen and Lucinda interacted a bit (fighting over John) before leaving. Can anyone confirm this? I guess b/c I am so used to James being lecherous, it is odd to see him fantasize about wanting Barbara back. But I am assuming this is more about getting Barbara away from Gunner if anything. I did not know that David Forsythe was on ATWT. Damn. P&G shuffled him throughout the majority of their shows (i.e. As the World Turns, Another World, Search for Tomorrow). I am interested to see if he ever did a stint on GL or EON. Jeff & Annie are characters much like Karen that should've returned in later years. At least the quads should've. I felt the actor who played Hunter (Emily's son using her egg) should've been one of the twins. Yet another missed opportunity.
  10. Ariana is starting to post scenes of her time at ATWT as Melinda:
  11. This makes me more optimistic about Guza and Carruthers being involved. But again, I am strongly for Black voices that have never had voices in daytime to finally have them--and not just in the EP roles. I want them in casting, writing, directing, etc. I trust Michele's vision for her show though. I don't foresee her fumbling the ball at all.
  12. Staircases can take up more area (I did a year in film school), which is why assume he scrapped them. However, as you pointed out, all those sets were too prominent to get rid of the stairs. Especially, the Hughes home. If he didn't want to showcase the stairs area, he could've always used their other living room with the fireplace that Marland started around the time Sabrina popped up on the canvas. With Tom and Margo, he could've simply said they downsized and devised a new set with the old pieces of their house. And they could've did away with Al's Diner if it meant a set for one of the core families. No one of importance worked there. It was basically used for Henry & Vienna and their stupid antics with Katie. And I am sorry, but I never believed that women as elegant as Lisa, Barbara, and Lucinda would eat in a diner. They could've done away with Java too. The central restuarant set should've been the Lakeview set as at least it would've given us opportunites to pull Lisa out the mothballs and allow her to meddle.
  13. Aww, friend. You know I'll always sing your praises!
  14. Well, I've been posting here forever and giving my perspective and ideas on what these shows should do. More so in the classic soaps section b/c I don't pay attention to the last 4 soaps (lately) as I feel they are lost causes. And if Michele is hiring for writers, it won't be anyone doing story-projecting. It'll be writers who'll either be breakdown writers or script writers. But as aforementioned, she needs Black writers to surround herself with to capture the true essence of our experience, culture, lingo, etc.
  15. *coughs* Young (well I am 36) Black writer here! And I live in GA. 😁 And my friend @DramatistDreamer is a playwright! There you go, Michele!
  16. Meh. I am not excited about Guza or Carruthers being involved. I love Patrick Mulcahey if he is the other writer. I just feel like she needs to have many Black writers around her, as we know our own experience and quirks. And I love that the show is being filmed here in GA. Those film tax credits are good here. I'll give the GOP that.
  17. @Gray Bunny & @Cat, I think this upcoming season of BH will determine if it remains in the stride it has been. Last season was horrid and a lot of people checked out. Furthermore, I think people are waking up to Kyle's antics and are sick of her sharing the bare minimum while getting to be the face of the show. If Kyle doesn't give much content this season, I see this season being a drag. Same with Dorit too. If she hides aspects of her divorce with PK, people will tune out. I used to think BH would be the last show standing, but I currently don't. I think it'll end as it began... with the OC. But I do keep getting this vibe that Bravo is intentionally trying to kill all these shows off and rebrand itself. As what? I have no clue.
  18. I think Bravo isn't showing a new episode of Dubai this week to prolong it a bit further @Cat. I assume they don't have the next show ready to release in place of Dubai, so they are drawing it out as long as possible. IDK but I truly believe Housewives as a whole is nearing its end. NJ is a flop. Dead in the water. They need to wrap it up and move on. The upcoming season of Atlanta already sounds like a flop. BH has been boring to me for a LONG time. Potomac is already on its first reboot and it'll be a make-or-break season. I don't have much hope for SLC even with Mary returning. Dubai is solid but doesn't have a solid audience. Miami (the strongest show) gets treated like a stepchild. NY 2.0 is an afterthought. I feel like they're going to suffer the same fate as Dubai. OC is solid for now.
  19. Looks like they M2M girls might've ran Phelony off, hence why she ran back to the Titanic (her words) aka RHOA:
  20. And she will add nothing to RHOA just like she added nothing to M2M. My main gripe is how are you gonna replace Kenya with the woman that got fired for starting a rape rumor? This is why I say Bravo is selective about who does what and what they are willing to forgive.
  21. This is scary.
