  1. Marilyn is celebrating 25 years on HSN this year - that Pheremone perfume of hers is the stuff of TV shopping legend. And she keeps making new fragrances and is 78 or so years old. I’m sure watching this series would be torture for Marilyn but Judith’s performance was very sympathetic to her but didn’t compromise Marilyn’s strength. She is a very tough woman.
  2. Judith Light just did an episode of American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace in which she played Marilyn Miglin, the real life Home Shopping Network cosmetics and perfume doyenne whose husband, real estate tycoon Lee Miglin, was brutally murdered by Andrew Cunanan. She did, as always, an incredible job and if she's eligible for a guest actress Emmy (it being a limited series I'm not sure if she can qualify) the nomination (and perhaps win) is hers for the taking.
  3. Teddi is way too boring and self satisfied for my liking @Taoboi - an absolute dud. BH is very boring this season. As it was last season. This franchise has burned bright and burned out. We have none of the authentic drama of the first two seasons, all the crap of an overly manufactured reality show and it's pretty clear these women don't really enjoy being with each other socially and that RHBH is a job for them and nothing more. Tonight's episode had a bit of glamour, but it was all lipstick on a pig.
  4. Two things I love about this: 1. They gave her a garbage can 2. She asked for a garbage can! You really can get anything at Harrods. Viva Joan!
  5. Eva seems like she's ready to take part and stir it up.
  6. ATL So disappointed for Cynthia. That dude of hers came off very dishonestly - the editors had the receipts. I dislike Kandi's husband Todd - he seems like such a leech.
  7. That was another pointless episode of Beverly Hills. If I knew how to insert a gif file I would be inserting the Whooping Goldberg “You in danger, girl!” one from “Ghost”...this franchise is becoming totally irrelevant. Teddi is a huge dud. One of the most humourless and boring housewives of recent memory. Dorit is making an ass of herself. Rinna is stirring for the sake of it. Erika is a parody of herself. LVP and Kyle are carrying this show by themselves. And that isn’t ideal.
  8. Interestingly, Luann’s court date today was cancelled and neither her lawyer, nor the DA’s office would return calls to the NY Post. That would suggest, to me at least, that a plea deal is being worked out. As it should be. Luann didn’t even do a DUI. There are a million better ways she can atone rather than doing a minute in jail. Community service, paying restitution, a donation to the police benevolent fund, and making formal apologies to the hotel and the police will accomplish a lot more than jail ever would.
  9. Melissa’s jab about Kim was the best thing about that awful reunion. Siggy is terrible. Thank goodness she’s gone. Now she can fade away into obscurity where she belongs.
  10. Totally agree about Atlanta. You can skip episodes and don’t miss out on anything. The same goes for Beverly Hills - nothing has really happened so far this season. Who was EP of last season’s NYC? That was one of my favourite seasons of a housewives franchise ever. It was must see.
  11. Thank God. One of the worst Housewives ever. OC needs an overhaul anyway so if they’re smart they’ll start over with Vicki, Shannon and Tamra and tell those three to either get along or get fired.
  12. Melbourne If anyone else is watching this season, I can't recommend it enough to anyone on the fence. It is so much fun! The last few episodes have focused on Lydia trying to undermine Jackie and Janet's friendship, the girls taking a trip to Mexico and Janet injuring herself after too many tequilas!
  13. There's the real Kenya. She's terrible.
  14. Kyle always loses me with her hypocrisy - she says that it isn’t right to say someone is drinking too much, yet she’s the one who screamed “you’re a liar and sick and an alcoholic” at her sister in season 1?
  15. For all we know she is still in rehab. Luann is due in court on January 25 in Palm Beach - I'm sure her lawyer told her to make zero public appearances. She will present as a far more contrite defendant if she can say to the judge that she didn't attend a close friend's funeral because she was seeking treatment. What is evident about NYC, unlike all other franchises, is that it's a sisterhood. When the chips are down, all these women are there for each other. Bethenny posted a quote in tribute that Bobby would say when toasting his friends: "Here's to those who wish us well, all the rest can go to hell!"
  16. In Judaism a funeral is meant to take place as quickly as possible, within 24 hours of death if it's possible. Funerals are not permitted on the Sabbath (Saturday), so Bobby's funeral took place as quickly as possible given circumstances.
  17. What was that episode of ATL? What was that "psychic"? I thought it was hilarious that Kim broke her. I'm ambivalent about psychics but I can say with authority that woman was a crock of sh*t.
  18. So sad about Bobby Zarin, who seemed like a very gentle, but straight shooting, kind man. He was a very good stepfather to Jill's daughter and was obviously devoted Jill, as she was to him. I hope it was a merciful release and that Jill can take comfort in a lifetime of memories with him.
  19. Siggy is way worse than Kelly Bensimon. Siggy deserves all the hellfire she’s brought on herself.
  20. Absolutely - of the recent seasons, only NYC was great. NJ was good (the shortened season helped a lot). OC was awful. ATL is boring. BH is dull.
  21. Julie looks quite frail and aged beyond her years at only 75.
  22. Definitely the worst episode of this season, but I still had some laughs.
  23. Agreed - Siggy was so annoying this last episode. Her interaction with her father was slightly bizarre - he’s clearly accustomed to her lunacy. Marge Sr. could have laid the smack down on Siggy, so while she was rude to ignore her I can understand why she did it.
  24. MELBOURNE I loved this episode... Janet's fat jabs at Lydia made me laugh. I just really dislike Lydia as a person and there's no convincing me that she's redeemable. She goes on and on about not wanting to be blamed for conflict between Janet and Jackie, and then she tries to start a bunch of crap with some vague accusations, flops because she can't keep her story straight, pisses Jackie off immensely, and then gets called the C-word not once, but twice (!), by Janet. Venus remains a lying liar who lies. For a lawyer, she's awfully bad at handling facts. I am loving Gina this season. She seems so much happier and relaxed than last season. Gamble's story about her hearing is tragic and it's touching that Rick takes such good care of her and bought her those hearing aids. He is a good one. His reaction next week to Gamble's outburst looks hilarious. Sally's reading with Jackie was compelling. I think Jackie does have a gift. And Sally seems like she's up and has a go.
  25. Such a good episode with Tom and Tom finally joining LVP in partnership (for a screaming deal) and Stassi stressing out but pulling off the event. Lala making her presence known with trashing Tom and Katie’s marriage is a big splash. I don’t know why Tom just said “I have no recollection” rather than outright denying it. Jax and James together is bizarre - how did those two become friends?!
