  1. Can anyone let me know the status of Rita's storyline - I haven't watched in ages and wonder if she's going to make it...
  2. CBS owns Dynasty, and owns a stake in the CW, so it's likely profitable regardless of how dismal the ratings are. But from it's 1980s glory, there's no worries for the legacy of the original.
  3. Fashion Police hasn't been itself since Joan died. The show should have ended after they aired the tribute episode to Joan (which was one of the funniest and most lovingly produced hours of television I have ever seen). Much as I like Brad, he wasn't George Kotsiopoulos, and Melissa wasn't Joan, and Nene and Margaret Cho weren't Kelly and without the original group it made no sense for Giuliana to be there. Ultimately, losing this gig is the last tiny bit of independence Nene had from the RH franchise - she better play nice or she's going to be lose big time. Lu is fabulous and word on the street is all the NYC ladies are being brought back. Lu will be A-OK in the long run.
  4. Wendy is looking exhausted on the show - these Big Kev cheats stories seem to be taking a major toll.
  5. Lu was on Wendy Williams today, she's bouncing back for sure:
  6. Fashion Police has been cancelled by E! Nene is out of another job.
  7. I agree that Shannon needs to go. She has drained this show of its energy, sense of fun and is toxic to the franchise. She has made this season incredibly boring and has prevented any momentum.
  8. Absolutely agree - I loved tonight's Dallas. This episode should earn the show a third season - it is so superior to OC and NJ this season it isn't even funny how boring those two old bag franchises are in comparison to youthful Dallas. LeeAnne is a live wire and I've been waiting for that glass to get thrown all season long and as her diamante belt went flying off her jumpsuit it felt worth the wait. I agree that Kameron had the line of the night with that comment about the plastic glasses. I laughed. Hard. And yes, the reveal about Cary being the nanny, then the nurse, then the wife, was a thing to behold. I wonder if she'll return for a third season if they land one. That's a pretty heavy revelation.
  9. I don't like Erika - I'll hope Rinna's turned her sights onto her. Earn that paycheque, Rinna.
  10. I ask the same question - I view Elizabeth Hurley as a successor to Joan's kind of celebrity and I'd accept her playing Alexis, at least to a certain extent, for a few reasons: 1. She is friends with Joan; 2. She is English; 3. She's demonstrated her capacity to play Alexis with her work on The Royals. That said, I do not think Hurley would want to play Alexis. She is savvy enough to know it's an impossible role to play and that it's Joan's iconic work. The criticism of Joan during the 1980s was that she was Alexis. It is that same criticism which makes Alexis impossible to be successfully recreated by another actress because no other actress is Joan. If it ends up being Melinda Clarke, who played Julie Cooper-Nichol on The O.C., playing Alexis, then I would say that the Dynasty producers made the best choice they could while trying to allow another actress to put their own stamp on the character. Melinda is a good actress and she's worked with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage in the past, so it's possibility.
  11. This is a gem that some kind YouTuber reposted...it had been taken down long ago and I so enjoy rewatching it. Sally vs. Sheila in 1996: Sally swaggering in on Sheila's abuse of Stephanie, becoming her surprise protector, the very beginning of the Sally/Stephanie friendship. I'm only sorry they never had Sally get into a catfight with Sheila - my money would have been on Mustang Sally. Darlene is so menacing at the end - absolutely fabulous. I
  12. I know! I felt guilty once I dove into episode two...and then finished episode five a few hours later... Nermina I sort of see the appeal in because she's a footballer's wife and is eastern European but not crazy like Ester. Rachel is basically a friend for Dawn. I think her twin sister hosting them in Gibraltar is all she's good for. I absolutely miss Ampika and Magali...but the show is still quite watchable without them, which I admit to my chagrin. Lauren has stepped up her game and is fun to watch, and the clashes between Dawn and Tanya/Leanne have been good too.
  13. I really enjoyed tonight's episode. It was a very good episode for Karen. I didn't even mind seeing Harry Connick Jr. for a single episode. But let that be it. Never again.
  14. NJ Siggy SUCKS. Good lord, what an assh*le. Dramatic and delusional. So extra. Delores has played it all wrong piggybacking on Siggy's ridiculousness. Danielle is absolutely fun and a breath of fiery fresh air this season. Margaret is a great addition. Teresa and Melissa on the same side of an argument is lethal. CHESHIRE I've watched all five episodes that have aired and I've actually enjoyed it quite a lot. I don't even notice Ampika isn't there. And I liked her!
  15. GOOD. This show is an abomination and the Shapiros should be ashamed of themselves. Alexis is so iconic that I wish whoever is dumb/ambitious enough to take on the role a lot of luck because they will only ever be a pale imitation to Joan.
  16. Sigh. No Joan, no Dynasty.
  17. OC Sigh...Vicki and Tamra's coffee date was very frustrating. They're both at fault, but Tamra's unreasonable position that Vicki needs to grovel and that she's done nothing wrong is the death knell of this relationship. Vicki made me laugh when she was speaking to Koko. She is like that crazy aunt who pinches your cheeks as a child. Shannon looked HUGE in her dress with that belly dancer. That needed to be one size larger and 6 inches longer. She flipped out, again, with Diko's conversation with her. David is an albatross that she needs to get rid of. Peggy and Diko are awfully flashy. I hope they can really afford all those diamonds, otherwise this is going to be a really ugly fall for them. Kelly's family dynamics seem uncomfortable. Good for Lydia's mom for becoming as rich as Candy Spelling. Spend it, enjoy it, save it for a rainy day. Meghan actually got paid for this season? Really? She is worthless. DALLAS Another fun episode with the right balance of drama and comedy. The bust ups between Leann and Cary are interesting to watch because neither of them come into these fights with clean hands. Brandi's impression of Kameron as Big Bird was hilarious. She is a talented mimic. I enjoyed her and Stephanie's hunt for the dildo, that was funny. Kameron is so joyless that I enjoy seeing Brandi bother her. I agree that, aside from NYC, Dallas is my favourite franchise that's aired this year. It's fun.
  18. I believe the BH filming schedule is as long as it appears because there is a midsummer hiatus so that the crew and cast can all have a summer break with their families. Lisa Rinna, for instance, goes up to Canada to the Hamlin family cottage. LVP often goes to the South of France to visit Ken's son, Warren, and his wife, Sue Vanner. Kyle usually has a family trip of some kind. In some respects, it probably helps the editors a lot because they can see where the show is heading and plan filming after hiatus effectively.
  19. I have now seen both the premiere and the second episode and I enjoyed both, but I preferred the second episode by a country mile - I am Trump'd out and the premiere was too political. The scenes with Sean Hayes and the magnets were hilarious.
  20. I'm glad that Esther sounds so happy and is enjoying herself...at the same time, the Shapiros are ridiculous if they think they have much to do with the original Dynasty being a success. Aaron Spelling said it: Joan saved the show. Nolan Miller's clothes helped. Tabloid fascination about Linda/John/Joan's rivalry helped too. But let's not forget the first season of Dynasty was not a ratings hit and THAT was down to the Shapiros.
  21. Really interesting interview, isn't it? I think Gordon's view of Joan vs. Linda is probably right on...it's a very interesting comment that he thinks John Forsyth was in love with Linda (by himself, quietly), and that Joan was jealous of how everyone loved Linda despite Linda being a wholly mediocre actress but a lovely person. Gordon went to McGill University - Canada's finest university, which explains his exceptional diction. I thought it was really sweet that the two Steven's got him to see a surgeon about his ankle. And of course I love his take on the reboot. He loves to swear and does it beautifully. I hope has happier days ahead, for he does sound a bit sad and lonely.
  22. OC Another snooze of an episode building up to next week's coffee with Vicki and Tamra. I do enjoy watching Vicki with her grandsons and Steve. She really needs to lock Steve down. I'm glad Peggy isn't taking David Beador's assholish questioning of her cancer lying down. The bottom line is this: Diko and Peggy have not articulated what happened to Peggy well but they are not making up that she had a double mastectomy and that she did so because of concerns about cancer. Shannon's marriage is dead. Deader than a fur coat. Her mother seemed nice, but the type to keep up appearances. Megan remains tirelessly irrelevant. Some have said Lydia is doing the show for money reasons...look at her mom's house! It's HUGE! Like, Aaron Spelling huge. DALLAS I loved this episode. Lots of fun. Kameron is such a pill. A joyless snob. I enjoy the Carey vs. Leanne stuff because they're evenly matched. Brandi blowing up everyone's gossip is great to watch. It torches any hope she has of maintaining friendships, but I don't think she cares. When Stephanie Facetimed Travis and he had at least 4 chins on display lying back in bed and she remarked "Hi Sexy" I couldn't help but find their marriage a little charming.
  23. The lady doth protest too much...
  24. Suing a network is always career suicide. I've yet to see anyone come out of that situation and still have anywhere near the career they had going in.
  25. Shannon really showed her ass this episode on OC - it's going to be very difficult, nigh on impossible, for her to wriggle out of the basic fact that she's trying to ice Vicki out of the show. Her jealousy and obsession was on full display and she really made a fool out of herself. Lydia decimated Shannon. It was great to hear someone flat out admit they dislike someone else. Why is Giraffe still on the show? She is totally irrelevant and I skip all of her scenes. The interesting thing is that Vicki has such a varied life that she still has a storyline after all these years. The rest of them don't. She is their storyline and they should be wary of how they've attacked her.
