Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Restaurants are well known to be one of the hardest businesses to make successful. You'd think Shannon would be more interested in owning a home, as opposed to renting, rather than a restaurant. In NYC news: Entertainment Tonight confirms Carole and Adam have broken up.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Much as there was a lack of defined storylines (aside from Luann) I really enjoyed this season of NYC - it was light and fun and had some decent dramatic moments based on actual conflict between the women, not dreamt up shade. It's clear that Bethenny is not letting this show actually know what's going on in her life. She is giving a sanitized version of things and doing damage control after last season. In some respects I think she succeeded. Luann and Dorinda were the MVPs this season. I can't imagine the show without them. Dorinda just adds some kind of credibility to this franchise and she throws down with the best of them. I also agree that this was Carole's best season in a long time - not trashing Luann did wonders for her. Sonja had a mixed season when it comes to Tinsley. I think Tinsley is annoying, immature and a storyline dud, so I can appreciate Sonja's disdain for her. At the same time, Sonja came off bitter and jealous and that's not a good look for her. But Sonja can be very amusing and great comic relief. I really think a gripping storyline for Sonja would be about ridding herself of that townhouse, selling it and buying a new cute apartment. And going to therapy and generally cleaning up her life. I feel there is such potential with Sonja but she needs an Iyanla Fix My Life style intervention. Ramona is the one who had the least going on. She won't show her dating life on TV, it doesn't seem like she works anymore, so all she had was a chemical peel and several breakdowns while putting her foot in her mouth. I'm not saying she shouldn't return, but she needs to get a life. Next season I need to see all the fallout from Luann's divorce - but what I really need to see is Luann get her groove back.

The college comment by Tamra shows that she's never changed: that's a classless and aggressive comment to make about your own child. It again tries to cast her in the victim role as someone being used by their child to pay expensive bills. Nope, not buying it.

Bailing after 7 months, on the one hand, leaves Luann looking foolish. On the other hand, it's ballsy to just admit you've made a mistake and cut your losses. Luann went for it and went all in with Tom. She took a chance. Not everyone can say they did that. She lives with courage. So Luann has cut her losses and will move on. She'll be fine, she'll drink a bunch, fall gracefully into a few more bushes and be cool, not so uncool.

OC A good episode, but also wholly forgettable. The best part of the episode was the preview for next week as Peggy seals Meghan's lips shut. NYC Iconic, as has already been explained perfectly. This crew, sans Tinsley, is gold. Even boring Carole was great this episode thanks to the crafty fish plan. Drunk Dorinda is hilarious - almost as great as Drunk Luann. Bethenny didn't do herself any favours with that confrontation with Dorinda who has literally done nothing negative towards her and was simply explaining how Bethenny needs to stop thinking she has to be perfect. Sober Luann can be amazing too like when she zinged Ramona with the "until you screw it up again" line. The Ramona/Bethenny pool scene was interesting because it did seem like they were both genuine in the moment. Ramona's divorce really seemed to pull the rug out from under who she thought she was and I don't think she's over it. Thing is, Ramona looks amazing and has a lot going for her, she needs to find a nice man. I actually felt sorry for her this episode because I think she's struggled a lot behind the scenes. Sonja was genuinely smashed and so harmless. She got naked and tried to make out with a few housewives - big deal. Tinsley went to boarding school, I'm sure she's seen and done worse. Sonja adds a certain levity that no other housewife manages. Next week's finale looks solid - it's been a very good season. I hope they dump Tinsley and bring back the cast as a whole - it's been fun and not a chore to watch at all (unlike some other franchises..).

Brandi Granville and Joanna Krupa have settled their lawsuit. The terms remain confidential but Brandi made a public apology: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4751486/Brandi-Glanville-settles-lawsuit-Joanna-Krupa.html I would be surprised if Joanna settled without getting, at a minimum, her legal costs covered but it's unlikely we'll ever find out.

UGH. I was looking forward to Dawn.

I am HERE for CBB with Dawn and Brandi! It also helps I'm in London at the moment and can watch live!

One correction Cat, that isn't Stephanie from Dallas - that's the loathsome Kara Alloway from Toronto.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
You left out Stacey...which says it all about her worth, doesn't it? If Dawn is back that leaves room for explosive drama with Leanne. That said, Ampika drove so much story for the show and it was a better show because she was a part of it. She'd be taking a lot of the glamour and fierceness of Cheshire with her. I love Lauren but without Ampika what will she be doing? Ester was a total dud and a pig so I don't foresee myself to watching the show on a committed basis.

Without Ampika and Dawn I think Cheshire is dead on arrival.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The thing about Shannon is this: reports confirm she called the cops on David, they arrested him, he was charged, and he plead guilty. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3872070/Shannon-Beador-s-husband-David-arrested-battery-2003-arrest-report.html The only person she has to blame for that information coming out is herself. She should not have gone on reality television knowing this kind of skeleton was in the closet. She is so easily provoked, this is not her genre. Kelly nuked her. Shannon made an absolute ass out of herself in that restaurant. Kelly's insults are mean, but also hilarious. I can't help but laugh my ass off with how effectively Kelly blew her out of the water. Shannon's trainer was a douchebag with his constant "wows" at her weight. I do feel sorry for Shannon because she's being swallowed by her weight...but then Shannon acts like a nutcase and I can't help but laugh. Shannon is very likely in the throws of menopausal hell, the weight is piling on and her constant dabbling in alternative treatments has likely overwhelmed her body. Lydia was very kind to pray over Shannon. Peggy is a dud. She looks like a dozen different people depending on the angle and makeup. At one point in the dinner she looked like Caitlin Jenner. Tamra is so bizarrely calm and adult. This is three episodes in a row. Vicki's small scenes were unimportant, but I still enjoy seeing her real life. It's interesting how the OC producers are giving a nod to Big Little Lies with the way they're setting up scenes at the beginning of the episode. The end of the episode was amazing. Kelly's hormone comment and then "keep eating"...oh my god that was awful/hilarious. Shannon exploded! "This isn't my plate! You fu*kin bitch! That isn't my plate!"...and then Kelly laughing wickedly in the hallway. AND THEN Kelly pushing her face up against The Quiet Woman's window while Peggy and Lydia were talking. Hilarious.

Tinsley's voice is affected. I don't believe that is how she actually sounds if she was speaking naturally. She has a mix of Kardashian vocal fry, Paris Hilton pacing, and nasal whine that's totally unappealing. Her voice is so different from her mother's buttery Southern drawl I wonder if she does it just so she's totally different from her mother.

NYC This was one of the most enjoyable NYC episodes ever! I laughed so many times throughout. Sonja, Bethenny, and Luann were all hilarious. So many great one liners but these made me laugh most: "Rush to dinner? Why? They hate us!" - Sonja "Putting makeup on Ramona's face is like throwing a deck chair off the QE2" - Bethenny *multiple falls* - Luann Luann is so lucky she fell so gracefully both times. She could have really injured herself. That drunk grin of hers was hilarious. Ramona and Tinsley got on my nerves. Ramona is obnoxious as hell and good lord that face was looking rough post procedure. I hope she had SPF50 on. Tinsley is such a whiney baby, constantly going to tears when something isn't comfortable...but I wouldn't have had this episode without them. Carole looked beautiful and I can't wait for drunk Dorinda in the next episode or two.

John McCain is a decent man. This is terribly sad news.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Another epic episode of RHOC. I like Peggy so far. Loving all those diamonds. Lydia went IN on Shannon with her signature sparkle. The way Shannon stormed out, swathed in voluminous fabric, her fat ass bursting through that stretch denim...lord knows most of us have had a 'fat moment' but Shannon's weight is comical. It's amazing how quickly she's changed her tune on social media about blaming Vicki, nobody is going with that one and she miscalculated other people's sympathy incredibly. Tamra shouldn't be wasting production's money on a 1 year old's birthday party. It's uncomfortable to see Ryan and Sarah - clearly a dysfunctional relationship. Not much Vicki this episode but I will note she seems like a lovely grandma. Brianna was smart to get in, hit the bounce house with the kids and then flee. I cannot wait for next week - Kelly is going to crack Shannon from side to side. Cannot wait.

Potomac Reunion Part 2 Robyn and Juan...I was cringing the entire time Juan had his mouth moving. That was dreadful to watch. Juan is so full of crap and tried to tap dance his way around Andy's questions, without any success. He's a liar and it's obvious. The moment those kids are anywhere near mature he is bolting and Robyn will be all alone and more miserable than she already is. She is doomed to an unhappy life because she doesn't want her life to change at all - she can't deal with the fact that her marriage is over. In addition, Robyn was sitting like she was on a toilet throughout much of the reunion. Ashley, admirably, kept it 100% about her marriage. Have we ever seen a Housewives couple lay it out like that? They both seemed sad about the state of their marriage. And to Michael's credit he's still supporting Ashley's mother. Charisse is bitter trash. That type of stank attitude will never change. She's ageing from that bitterness. And that tragic wig. Her attempt at attacking Karen's marriage with the "Blue Eyes" rumour fell flat. She cannot outwit Karen. She should give up on that one. Giselle was the least relevant person on this reunion and this season as a whole. Time for her to get dumped. Monique was great in part 1, but was quiet for part 2. Karen copping to having her implants out was good because it was obvious. Frankly, smaller breasts suit her. The thing you can say for Karen is that she has a very detailed memory and can recall small details when she wants to - but only when she wants to. She was very kind to Ashley in that production break when they were talking about Ashley's marriage. Karen can be a blowhard but I think she as a basic sense of decency that some of the other women simply do not have.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
OC I loved the soft opening...this show is like your favourite pair of old denim. Comfortable, tested tried and true, and never lets you down. Shannon is an absolute wreck. If she wants to lose weight I have a suggestion: divorce David - an effortless way to lose 180 - 200 lbs. It is incredible that somehow this is all Vicki's fault when it was clearly explained that Shannon told Vicki about several incidents that she said happened with David. If Shannon made them up or embellished them, that's on her, not Vicki. Shannon needs to realize her marriage is over or is doomed to be unhappy and tension filled. I look forward to Lydia's rainbow getting up in Shannon's grill. Much as I like Shannon's house I wonder why she's still renting. Tamra's facelift looked AMAZING on WWHL. Much as I want Tamra to go down for all her evil ways I enjoy how she lets it all hang out. I also admire Eddie for being candid about his distrust of Vicki. These two communicate. Good for them. Lydia is back and I love her house. She is upbeat and sincere. Let's see how she does this season. Meghan is back and I don't care but I enjoyed Jimmy being sweet with the baby who is super cute. Kelly is still a hot mess but I find her to be good TV - she's too explosive for real life but I appreciate what she brings to the table TV wise. Vicki, it sure has been a while OG of the OC. I can't quit Vicki. She's been around for 12 years or so - a long damn time in my life! I didn't like her mentioning Brooks, but it was context specific. Steve seems like a great guy so I hope she doesn't screw that up. I love the look of her kitchen.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
YES, so much to this! It was a GREAT reunion. Monique was definitely the MVP - she obliterated Gizelle and Robyn. Aggressive and forceful, like a hurricane - they didn't see it coming and were clearly taken aback by how sharply she destroyed them. Robyn is simply too dumb. Good old fashioned stupid. And she hates it being pointed out, as if it's somehow concealed otherwise. The relationship with Juan is just pathetic. It's interesting to see how Charisse and Gizelle don't really like each other and when push comes to shove they'd happily kill each other. It's also interesting how Monique, Karen and Ashley all get along, though they have little in common with each other. There were so many instances where they complimented each other for getting the other couch on edge. Karen summed up my view of Ashley: she gets on my nerves, but I'm OK with her, she's alright. Ashley tells the unvarnished truth, be it good or bad for her or anyone else on the show. And she can take the heat. Karen bothers these women so much and I love it.

Disagree about Dorit - she carried last season on her back as Eileen, Rinna and Erika took a million shots at her and PK. The way she fought back at the reunion and in Hong Kong cemented her return.
-
Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'm glad Eileen is leaving because this show ruined her allure. Her personality didn't translate to reality television. Brittle and a lack of humour, with a bad habit for beating a horse to death, was never going to end well for her. Willa Ford strikes me as a potential huge bitch. I don't even know why. I hope Camille returns full time. I don't know what Adrienne would contribute. Rinna is on dangerous ground.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I've really enjoyed NYC this season, it's had lots of enjoyable moments (this week's dinner party conversation being a good example, I laughed out loud repeatedly) but hasn't had many signature moments aside from Dorinda's...I think this trip to Mexico will have a few great moments. But I'd take this kind of NYC season then a gross toxicity like NJ or a boring mess. So far as the OC taglines go, I so agree. LOL to your analysis of Shannon's tagline. She looks like hell - I'm surprised she let herself get filmed for her opening like that - she could have hacked off 20 pounds by simply putting on a pants suit - that babydoll dress just emphasizes her weight gain. Vicki's is great because it reasserts her dominance. Peggy's is so basic. I am concerned she'll be a dud.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
You can hate on Karen as you like - you're a viewer, Karen put herself out there to be judged, play on, player. But the other Potomac ladies? No. They know her. Most were friends of hers before the show started. They're all mean and I bet have a few financial issues of their own. Ashley, Charrisse, Robyn and Fauxnessa L. Williams are all beyond hateful.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Re: Karen That is a lot of tax debt Ray and his company owes. And that's something I'd point out: it isn't Karen's tax debt - who knows what exactly she knew and when she found out. She would have been so mortified by it it's no wonder she denied any problems for as long as she could. It doesn't change the fact that the other women, except Monique, have been piling on Karen and taken a lot of pleasure in her misfortune. And that reflects poorly on them - not Karen.
