  1. there have been so many versions of the truth on this one that we will just have to see it play out. it's a soap so the person responsible for Jake's death is the person who would cause the most story. That pretty much rules out Carly and Sam (who already have conflict with Liz), Luke (who won't be around to play out a full story), and Edward (they've already had him hit Jake). My money is on Robin or Brook.
  2. I've seen it's actually Luke driving, not Edward. But Luke isn't responsible for his grandson/grand-nephew's death.
  3. Jax is involved, he just probably won't have the primary POV. Rumour has it this is why BH was spared - to be in this with Jax because of the Jake/Joss connection. As for any story involving Edward, it would include Tracy, Jason, Michael, Luke, the other Spencermaines, and Sam by extension. Monica and Bobbie are a thing of the past, it would seem. We might get some Monica but I'm afraid Bobbie has been shown the door. And when talking about connections, I think GH is hitting the mark better these days then it has in months. The relationship between Brenda and Edward/Lila didn't need to be honoured, but it was. J-Lex's friendship goes back for years and we got a reminder of that. Lucky's accurate recounting of his own history was good to see. Even Robin - who annoys me like no other, and that's saying something (yes S&B, I'm looking at you) - was reminding everyone of who befriended whom over the years. Rumours - which often seem to be negative - are rarely grown to fruition, in my experience. So I wouldn't predict doom and gloom at this point for any of it. I think if we look at the character of Monica TPTB have quite possibly realized they made a mistake a few years back and instead of Alan they should have had Monica killed. But what is done is done, and while it might not be popular with every long standing fan, I can see the reasons behind why stories involve certain characters and not others. Fans will always want their favourites to be highlighted, but that's not always in the show's best interests. I've loved Bobbie since the beginning of my GH viewing, but I'm quite comfortable with her being gone now. If she had remained the emotional powerhouse she had been over the years, I would want her involved with the stories now. But quite frankly I have a hard time even looking at her and don't feel she brings much more than tradition to the canvas. It's sad, but what JZ has done to herself has ruined Bobbie for me.
  4. It's her house frock. At least it's not brightly coloured with a zipper down the front and pockets for some used kleenex.
  5. Lets be honest, JI doesn't have many years left regardless. He's had a serious cancer scare recently, and his wife is very much alive so he's got a real life outside his work. He doesn't strike me as an actor who will "die in the saddle". I think a story like that - which has never been done on daytime - would be incredible to see. So often when a character dies it's either because the actor dies - so the farewell is bittersweet, or the character is ended - so the farewell seems too soon. But for an actor at the end of his career to leave a show through a story that truly effects the elderly population would be the ultimate farewell story.
  6. ^^ a proper dementia story would take months of set-up anyway. Today might just have been the first moment in something that will play out months from now. That look between Luke and Tracy wasn't for nothing. And today's show - WOW. I hardly FF'ed anything. Theo is as stiff as a board (he is best when he's doing hypochondriac, IMO) and I can't wait until Suzanne is gone, but otherwise it was really great. Jason showed all kinds of emotions. All Spencermaines had their stories moving forward except Brook, lovely LuNacy moment - WE SHOULD HAVE MORE OF THEM, PTB!!! Shawn is yummy. Sonny is as much as an ass as ever, but Dante seems to have gotten his brain back. I was just about to celebrate a show without Brenduh, but then the last minute ruined that. , oh well. The Brendah and Sonny parts of this story I can do without, but everyone else is really quite intriguing.
  7. CH does what she does extremely well - she's a cougar who can bring that whole sex appeal thing out beautifully. She's even good in interviews and seems quite funny much of the time. However….. she is a human being who has been given a large platform over the past number of years in Primetime, Daytime and in the publishing world. She is quite accomplished and is doing what a number of other celebrities/quasi-celebrities have always done. I don't agree with her politics, many of her personal opinions or inexcusable rudeness. But one has to give her props for being driven, knowing when to strike while the iron is hot and not apologizing for doing things her way. In that, she's following a long tradition of actors before her. I do think she needs to respect people more, but then what has that gotten other actors in the past? Not much. I'm about to sit down with GH and watch LuNacy. It's been so long since we had anything worth watching. There were rumours awhile back about Edward having an Alzheimer's story or dementia, or something like that. Have you heard anything about that Hooked? It would certainly be timely and mark the final step in LuNacy becoming the Revered Elders of the show.
  8. I stopped Twitter altogether - some people are too enamoured with their own stardom and I think CH has gone in that direction. I think JF is in that category too. I'm actually glad to hear he bombed last night. Hosts should really be comedians because quite honestly nothing is as boring as an awards ceremony. Whoopi Goldberg still goes down in history as one of the bests hosts ever for an awards night, IMO. I agree about Edward and walking Brenduh down the aisle. When I read the spoiler that he was going to do that not long after his own daughter walked down the aisle herself, I was really PO'd, but they did the character right. He was their for Brenduh - no matter how stupid she was. I'm looking forward to Luke/Edward today. TG does his best work in the heart felt moments, not the comic schtick they usually have him stuck in.
  9. I'm actually all caught up on GH and surprisingly it was a pretty good week. Even plastic Brenduh's lack of expressions didn't take away from the scenes. MB actually showed up, which was nice to see considering how long he's been dialling it in. But Robin….. can we slap her now? Brenda gets "blown" to bits and it's all about Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. IMO her cuteness ended at PC High. There was no need for Tracy to leave early and have Luke lurking around the place, but whatever. My Lush and Ethina hearts beat proud. Loved that Krissy told Ethan she was going to marry him some day, and Ethan's only response was to laugh in mirth. Even Lante was stepping up to the plate and Brik had some nice moments (did Tracy ACTUALLY almost apologize to Brook for her comment about Nicholas? Mon Dieu!). And I think there were a few moments where Jane laughed at Tony rather than Tracy responding to Luke. Can't wait to see tomorrow with hopefully the "miss you" part being the stronger rather than the "love in ashes" BS they've been playing. All in all a good showing for the Spencermaines.
  10. Well to be fair, while Jane is ALWAYS amazing, she didn't have the story that NLG or JMB got last year. Tracy usually ends up supporting the supporters. Even TG didn't get a story, so she couldn't very well support him.
  11. LOL, not QUITE what I would have written for dialogue, but that's funny.
  12. ^^ I loved the line where she said there were only two professions where you were paid to kiss someone, and one was acting. LOL…. Jane pulls no punches. I am so behind - I'll do a marathon this weekend I guess. Finally have a move date, or an "arrive" date I should say. At least we now can control things so I'm moving in spring and not winter. We've decided to go the end of May, which is much nicer than the end of March. I am so busy that I'm barely making time for the updates here. I hope there's nothing else exciting in soap land, 'cause if there is I'm missing it.
  13. I don't ever see the actual magazines - what's the bit about "Brenda is out"? Is that just a tease about the kidnapping or have our prayers been answered? (and can she take Mo with her)
  14. ^^ Nice to see that VMG knows where the bread is buttered.
  15. This wouldn't be the first year we've heard TG is taking off for an early vacation but he never has. Until it's in a soap rag, it's not believable. Right now what's on the screen is all that matters, and unless TQ-S is drawn in like this wedding, we probably won't see her again until she has to react to Lulu and/or Brook. It's all Brenduh, Brenduh, Brendah at the moment.
  16. Not me. I think they have a nice blend with her - bitchy when she needs to be and loving when that's called for. A humourless bitch plays out just a bit longer than the sweetheart, neither being developed to a full character. I much prefer the Tracy we have now.
  17. Welcome weareclouds. You'll find many of us with the same opinions re: the two sites. I'm just loving the Tracy love around this place - even with the dingbat jewelry heist crapolla. Spoiler alert - Edward is actually mentioned as being devastated when Brenda "dies" in the car explosion.
  18. This is a large part of the problem with those shows - they're more to showcase the host than get anything of significance. They give the fans a slight thrill but there is certainly no depth. It's much as I figured. At least Oprah doesn't try to score humour points by making her guests the butt of her jokes like Late Night or Ellen.
  19. Nope, this is her longest anywhere and I fully suspect it will be her swan song when the time comes. But when it comes to writing a woman-focused story, GH doesn't do that for anyone. It's always been a male focused show and FH's Anna was about the only true lead female we've ever had (although Bobbie, Monica and Felicia did quite well in the 90's too). That's just the nature of the beast. Most shows are female focused where males aren't real leads, so at least ours is different.
  20. I could smell that one, but thanks for the confirmation. We always see this type of BS when GF is in the media for any reason - predictable as anything.
  21. A good Spencermaine day all around. And I agree, Nic needs to be part of their number not some overbearing pompous prince. I thought Bric was going to be a disaster but it's proving itself to be worth the ride. Notice how it's always JE - the consummate professional who "will bust you if you're not on your game" - that seems to get these bloopers? TC must have been crowing that he broke her out of character for a few seconds. Usually only TG can do that.
  22. You've got to give Oprah props - even if it's misguided. They are going for the Golden Oldies special, not what's current. I do believe Erica is there with her 80's and 90's husbands as well. Bo/Hope from Days are expected to be on also. The old gal is trying to help the soap world, but unfortunately I think all that will be accomplished is another round of how much soaps have fallen since the heyday of the SuperCouples. Best moment of the show, IMO.
  23. And a pleasant dream it is. It's not TOTALLy out of the realm of the possible. TPTB still seem to like Tracy and give her some great dialogue to work with at times.
  24. Kids, kids, don't get your knickers in a twist. it's only entertainment.
  25. Just saw the latest spoilers - Edward walks Brenda down the aisle. Now me, I'm thinking WTF, he didn't walk his DAUGHTER down the aisle just over a month ago but he will do it for Brenduh??? On the other hand Tracy is a properly grown, mature woman who NO ONE has the right to "give away". Glad Edward is getting a spoiler and a job, regardless of what it is.
