As The World Turns Full Episode List
The episodes of 22, 23 and 26 October 1959 depicted the wedding of Penny Hughes and Jeff Baker. This was reported in a California newspaper and goes against other reports that Penny and Jeff married Xmas Eve.Perhaps their first marriage, which was annulled, was on Xmas Eve. Hope someone can clarify.

Ratings from the 80's
Hitting #3 was quite an achievement for Days as it didn't get any help from surrounding shows. AW never really got any bump when Days's ratings went up. I wonder if SB had followed Days it would have done better. It seemed more compatible in style. And AW @3 would be returning it to it's traditional timeslot. NBC should really have tried this.

Soap Hoppers: The Soap Actors And Roles Thread
Found interesting radio roles for John Larkin and Mary Patton For Thanksgiving 1946 P&G aired special crossover episodes on 4 NBC soaps that aired 3-4pm. It was a fantasy theme where an embittered serviceman visited the 4 shows and met characters who showed him friendliness and meaning to his life. Pepper Young's Family/Life Can Be Beautiful/Ma Perkins/Right To Happiness Joe Green... John Larkin Mary Patton - Polly

Ratings from the 80's
from Psychology Today Most chronically passive-aggressive individuals have four common characteristics: Theyโre unreasonable to deal with. Theyโre uncomfortable to experience. They rarely express their hostility directly. They repeat their subterfuge behavior over time. 1. Donโt Overreact. Reduce Personalization and Misunderstanding. 2. Keep Your Distance Whenever Possible. 3. Donโt Try to Change Them. 4. Donโt Get Sucked In. Avoid Tit for Tat.

Loving/The City Discussion Thread
In it's second week on air Loving dropped from a 4.9/18 share to a 3.9/10. So there was initial interest but then ratings dropped. That was probably expected.

Primetime Soaps
The Hamptons ABC's summer soap on tape from Gloria Monty debuted at # 18 (13.8/25) in the ratings in the Summer of 83 and won it's timeslot. A Dynasty repeat followed at 10pm and scored a 10.5/19.

Loving/The City Discussion Thread
The Loving TV movie was slotted 9-11 on Sunday night and achieved a 13.3/23 rating which placed it just outside the top 20 for the week. It was up against Summer reruns on CBS/NBC.

So far Loving has hit a 4.3, which is a little lower than RH was doing at 12.30, so when Loving moves into that slot it will probably be within that range. Maybe hit a 4.5. Will be interesting to see. I wonder if Lov or RH did anything story wise to attract attention the week of the switch? Did SFT see an opportunity to bump up their numbers and grab some viewers who might have switched when RH was moved?

Ratings from the 80's
As has been repeatedly stated, the months pencilled in are the issue dates. The ratings shown are a few months behind. SB will probably appear in the October issue as happened with Loving the year before. I'm guessing a 3.7 - 4.0 for Santa Barbara.

Guiding Light Discussion Thread
I apologize for any offence but my response came from the frustration that was shared with others when suddenly multiple threads were full of rambling, irrelevant, repetitive posts. I welcome all posts. Of course, I may not agree or be interested in each and every one but at the least I would hope the poster put some time or thought into them. It seems that Donna is aware of that and is modifying her style. ๐

AMC and Y&R really battling it out for #2 spot. It will be interesting to see if Loving tops that 4.3. They were probably encouraged by that jump from the month before. Thanks again for posting all this๐
