BTG: December 2025 Discussion Thread
Bring it! Andre/Dani are the hottest couple on BtG ❤️🔥 Sean Freeman over Jibre Hordges all day every day. Eww. Do not give the BtG writers ideas from Bradley's playbook.

@BoldRestless That is totally straight out of Josh Griffith's playbook. You shouldn't give him ideas though 😄

SON Posters Your Best and Worst of 2025
@Khan IIRC you've never been a B&B fan, even back when Bill Bell was writing. I haven't watched B&B on a regular basis since 1999, but knowing Bradley and from the consensus on this board B&B has been hot garbage since Susan Flannery retired, maybe even longer than that.

Knots Landing
Jill's descent into madness is one of the storylines that caused Knots Landing to go off the rails for me.

Looking back...Primetime Ratings from the 80's
There was also a shift in dramas starting Fall 1985. Primetime soaps and action shows were out. Murder, She Wrote shocked the world. Miami Vice was the new hotness. Moonlighting showed growth and would take off the following season. L.A. Law was a year away. 1984/85 the primetime soaps pulled out all the stops to out-do each other and that culminated with the big cliffhangers of Royal Wedding shootout, Bobby's car accident, Val's babies. 1985/86 the primetime soaps tanked and Spring 1988 felt like the natural end point of the genre. In real life 1985/86 was the season s--- got real with the AIDS crisis, Space Shuttle Challenger, Chernobyl. Escapism was out and shows that gave comfort and warmth were in because the world around us was changing so much.

Knots Landing
Knots Landing got corporate with Lotus Point and I think that was in response to Dynasty blowing up and becoming a pop culture phenomenon.

Knots Landing
I bet Michael Filerman was p----- that Alec Baldwin moved on to bigger and better things. From the buildup of Empire Valley in season 6, it looked like something big was going to happen in season 7 but the result was a mess.
