  1. Keith D. Robinson born January 17, 1976. Maurice Johnson born February 10, 1979. Only three years difference.
  2. This jumped out at me in that article: From the 1980s Ratings thread, One Life to Live rebounded in 1985 with Andrea Evans return, so that impacted Capitol. Remember Capitol was head-to-head with the second half of One Life to Live. It's new to me that CBS used Claire Labine proposed soap as leverage for Bill Bell to create a second show. I still believe that CBS wanted a second Bill Bell show to replace Search for Tomorrow in 1982 but with Y&R being in its post-expansion slump during the first half of 1982, Bill Bell had to fix Y&R first before he could even think about a second show. Capitol purpose was to be a placeholder/time filler until Bill Bell was ready for a second show.
  3. B&B is stuck with Bradley until the show ends. As we all know, Bradley did not inherit his father's talent.
  4. So do I. Andre the hotness of the show (I know, he's too young for me to check for like that). Andre/Dani off the charts heat generating romantic chemistry. The love scenes set to R&B slow jams. They are the soap couple I didn't know I needed.
  5. Marcus Jordan admits to having substance abuse issues. Marcus Jordan Admits to Substance Abuse Problems Following DUI Arrest
  6. B&B is up for renewal in September then? We're two years away from the 40th anniversary.
  7. @Chris 2 In her own way, Miss Ellie was a messy matriarch.
  8. The Jeffersons in 1981 and The Simpsons in 1995 payed homage to Who Shot JR.
  9. Ashley is the weak link of the main female cast members. I can't think of any major soap actresses in the 25-35 age range. That just shows how far the talent pool in daytime has dropped.
  10. Don't put that out there in the universe.
  11. Agree. Derek is the weak link of the main male cast members.
  12. I had forgotten that this month would have Amelia Heinle 20th anniversary.
  13. @Khan Firstly, Josh Griffith probably has no idea who Brooks Prentiss is, and secondly, if Josh Griffith digs into Y&R's past, he'd most likely fumble the execution.
  14. I'm a 1990s teen as well. It was being a redhead that set MG apart from the sea of blondes that permeated CBS Daytime back then, especially Y&R/B&B.
  15. I think most of the longtime B&B viewers are either watching out of habit or hate watching at this point.
  16. With all the garbage time this month, I'm looking forward to the March Madness break.
  17. I see what you did there They are the weak links of the show so far. Andre comforted and supported Dani. I'm sensing a love slowly growing in two weary hearts. Why are Andre/Ashley being shipped? I'm not seeing it.
  18. Hayley all about the come up in the vein of Brenda Dickson original recipe Jill Foster and Brooke Logan.
  19. @Taoboi So far BtG doesn't have any sets of brothers to fight over a girl.
  20. From what I remember, it was sometime in Fall 1995.
  21. I was waiting for BtG to have the classic soap element of sisters fighting over a guy, and it looks like that will be Kat/Eva/Tomas.
  22. From what I remember the big favorite for 1996 Supporting Actor was Michael Sutton. The rest of the race was Ian Buchanan, Stuart Damon, David Forsyth.
  23. When I watched GL in real time (Spring 1989-Summer 1992) I thought Maureen Garrett was one of the most beautiful women on daytime and she was in her 40s then.
  24. 1985/86 Murder, She Wrote beat Dallas to become CBS's highest-rated scripted show. Also 1985/86 Murder, She Wrote beat Dynasty to become the highest-rated drama across the broadcast networks. We think of Angela Lansbury as sweet and unassuming but she knocked big bad Larry Hagman off the throne at CBS and beat the diva of all divas of 1980s primetime soaps Joan Collins. That's just straight up savage. Even though Angela beat Joan in the ratings, Joan showed love to Angela on social media when Angela passed away. That was very classy of Joan to do so.
