  1. Thanks! I want to see this. Because I think it might be the look that I caught when I passed by one day. And I said out loud...oh God don't say anything. They're probably going to forget you were the guy that was Adam and was basically married to Eve in a cabin for months because she said you two were so in love and just take your 'medicine' (which was what, Tylenol?)....???? So this wolf-looking woman must be crazy - it's what was crossing his mind by the look on his face, and I said, I cannot even watch this.
  2. I need to read recaps or find clips online. Has Sheila disappeared into the night (again), (yet?)? Or saved someone else connected to the story so that she's redeemed (or not so bad after all)? (again?)?? It's time to put that character out to pasture. Did anyone in LA ever let anyone in Genoa City know (Lauren?) that Sheila is alive (again?) and still doing the same thing (again)?
  3. Darn it. They lost me again. Channel change...tired of seeing Sheila drug, mame, murder, overtake, outsmart, overpower anyone and everyone at this stage at all times. Been there done that.
  4. Very odd. Margo and James were a huge thing. Always wondered that myself.
  5. I’m going to have to tune in now that I see the clips. I’m sure she does. It would be more fun if Bill, Liam and Wyatt are all in on a big gas lighting story to officially finish Sheila off. And let Li kill her at the end lollll
  6. I have to say, and I only check in once and a while, but from the brief things I've seen, it's kind of a breath of fresh air, and not at all (sadly) that B&B has done well at least in recent history. There are no new characters with staying power, so anytime a new character is/was introduced, it was wondering when they would be killed off, or sent on their merry way - the character is just a plot point. Back when Liberty Bibberty was introduced it was kind of sad/useless because you just know he's a goner, of no consequence anyway so who cares. If B&B goes the route of actually having a character going forward, I am shocked and this would be a positive sign that someone finally gets the show cannot be Liam, Steffy, Hope, and Wyatt 24/7. They missed the boat the size of an aircraft carrier with Courtney Hope/Sally....have no idea why that didn't smack someone in the face with such obvious talent.....but maybe this is a sign someone has a brain at B&B.
  7. I remember an interview - and I'm 99% sure it was Marj Dusay...in SOD or another magazine years and years ago - maybe when she was on Guiding Light, and they asked her about Capitol and what it was like in the final days, and how sad it must have been. I remember she said -- well, remember it was taped 2 or 3 months before like every show. So our final days were actually very 'up' and positive...we felt strongly that we were giving it our all and that the performances we were turning in would mean something. We were on an upswing and catching fire and filmed Promotional videos for the show for new commercials and (I think) she said new opening credits. Because we really felt that ABC or NBC would pick us up. I really wish it had happened because honestly, I think Capitol would have fit better on NBC or my better bet - ABC. My sisters were firm, 100% ABC fans in my house, while my Mother and I were CBS. Because one day ABC wasn't on - I don't remember why - but CBS was on. Over a holiday or some special programming ABC did. Well, my sisters checked in on Capitol after that. They liked it. I was the youngest, but thereafter they would check in on Capitol only. Only when we got older did they start watching Guiding Light with me and loved it. For whatever reason, demographically - I know ABC people that would check in on Capitol.
  8. This was worth 100% checking in on this board. I watched for a couple minutes the other day and heard Liam and Bill and Wyatt talking about why isn't Sheila behind bars for everything she's done. I didn't watch anything else but thought - that's been said for 35 years practically. Yawn. But this snippet was worth the visit here. I think the reason I don't care for Quinn/Rena is that they made the whole show about her for a couple years and it was ridiculous. But, I do think she's a decent actress so it's kind of a shame that she was 1-note crazy/cartoonish for years...it set the table for if/when she does have feelings of any kind - I don't care. The impression is spot-on, save a few things that would have been insulting to the actress who plays Donna.
  9. I used to point things out like this on here years and years ago. Much to the hate of the B&B fans. If Daytime had been run like Primetime, B&B would have had its time slot moved or it would have been cancelled very very quickly the way it was handed great lead-ins and LOST that lead-in for the rest of the lineup. The weird thing is, I remember articles talking about B&B beating Capitol or beating the performance that had been there prior. I never understood it. It was a bunch of Bill Bell fans in the media pumping up a show (B&B) that had NOT performed well and there was NO hiding it if you had half a brain. There was NO way to compared B&B to Capitol because to my knowledge, it NEVER HELD the same timeslot Capitol. And for the time it was put in - B&B did NOT perform the way World Turns did. It was such garbage. @DramatistDreamer Yeah, this clip reminded me....I knew it, but had forgotten. Capitol was treated so badly and I think is one of the most underrated shows given the amount of talent they had. I had forgotten they trolled B&B so badly at the end. I still miss Capitol to this day. Out of any cancelled show I truly believe had it held on, given the rise and fight in politics, that people would have watched it, had Capitol hit on the right topics at the right time and gone that route. What an opportunity it would have been to teach people something.
  10. Ugh. I forgot how it all worked out....they were already trolling B&B and pushing it before Capitol was even off the air. I'd forgotten that.
  11. All I know is that I like a good breakfast taco with all the diverse ingredients that you can choose from and I do not know why that's so offensive. Taco does not equal people and it's not demeaning at all to me that Miami and Florida have flowers that are beautiful and breakfast tacos have all kinds of ingredients. Major stretch to be picking at that, when we had a man who insulted people on the daily and a first lady that said she didn't give a &uck about Christmas. That conversation and comparison is over, ain even gonna talk about it with Conservatives. Do not even go there.
  12. I don’t know, but I remember him losing to Murray in best of 3 with 7-6 in there. But he has lost to him. Opelka gets a pass for me for now. Not worthy of HOF at all but I feel like he can play at least. I remember a tournament where he beat a lot of ranked players. I don’t remember Isner ever stringing anything together.
  13. I have always said - he’s a server. If the point starts, it’s over. He’s not even a tennis player to me. It’s the one thing I’ve said positive about Opelka. He does stand a chance if the point starts. Similar but I feel like he can at least play. Hall of fame worthy? He’ll to the No.
  14. I don't know, tight race with Mouratoglou. Which as we know is the 'only' reason for Serena's success. LOLLLLL.
  15. I am male, 50 y.o., and rarely talk about this. But in my life I have known to have both Sensitive and Clairvoyant experiences. I almost never talk about it, not even with close friends or family. On the occasion I have brought it up, it has not been the best received - so I do not. But I have had some very specific things happen, which I wish I had documented, and did not. Others I have told people about verbally, and things have happened, which has well - shut them up or at least made them think twice, and they've brought it up to me on their own at later times. Kind of like "remember when you said XYZ...and then LMNOP happened....?" Me: Yep. Them: "that was really weird". That kind of thing. Anyway, I recently had a very vivid dream, and I have wanted to talk about it. I do not go to people in the occult, fellow clairvoyants, or anything like that. Not even therapy. I've thought about recounting my dream here - and almost did under the Politics thread, because that's kind of what it's about - but did not. I thought maybe to check in here. Apologies if there is another post about something similar here. I looked quickly and didn't see one. I could recount various experiences, but will hold off. As far as this area of life is concerned, I know I'm kind of an outsider. We are typically not male, but rather female when it comes to the world of Clairvoyants/Psychics, etc. I don't actually know what to call what I have specifically because I don't totally fit in any of the specific boxes other than what I believe to be the 'parts of'. But what I have noticed at least as exposure goes - is that I do see males who are gay out there on TV shows and things like that - which has made me wonder. Are we more likely to fall into the bucket of, because I am gay. Anyway. If you're so inclined, let me know and I'd be glad to recount my recent dream here and what I was shown and told.
  16. I'm one of the people who are tired of it. And I'm a fairly liberal Democrat. They are equal to the far right crazy Republicans to me. No, not nearly as bad in the end, but bad for the country as a whole. And a big reason that Hilary lost because it was da-Bern or no one. And they got Trump and I think secretly happy about it. Their frame of mind was "there, stuck it to 'em! HA!" No, you stuck it to yourselves, idiots. Because we live with this Supreme Court for decades or the rest of your life depending on how fast they die....so your need to skip student loans outweighed the REALLY correct thing we needed. Pay your damned debts and get over it. I paid off my student loans and it's not unreasonable to ask you to do the same. Should you have been given a loan? Don't know, but you were. They are college educated people and I think knew what a loan was when you took one. I learned what a loan was and what collateral was from The Brady Bunch. And in classes. And as explained to me before I took out loans and that I would have to pay them back. This is why I went to community college for 2 years and didn't go to my "dream school". That's life, and this is the problem with that generation and that mind set. You don't always get what you want or have to sacrifice....or actually - not. You don't have to sacrifice if you don't want to - that's what your loans are. So you didn't sacrifice, now pay them.
  17. All of this. When watching Nick, you have to put aside any wondering about him on the court. You literally have to put the wondering aside - as to wondering what he is upset about, what he could possibly want from his box (do you want them to yell, or not yell, you tell me Nick) - or whatever. If you wonder, you would go insane. He acts like a child you cannot satisfy. I was 100% on Novak's side for the match. Like him or not, he wants to be out there (unlike Nick who has spent a lot of time explaning he is just there to entertain, not for the tennis - or whatever he says this week or next week or whenever). And all in all, I'm tired of hearing commentators say that this appears to be the match where Nick has turned the corner, and has his feelings under control and this is really it, folks - you were here to see it. (Me: No you were not. He will go back to his old self in about 5 minutes - you've said this for 7 or 8 years now. Or longer). He's no longer the "young talent" to me - he's way past time that he could have/should have won by now....and when you're fighting to beat 35 and 36 year olds, you're not going to convince me that you're a all-time-great. And one edit: I had to look/listen 2 or 3 times extra - to hear this was his first Slam final? Is that right? I feel like he's been in 80 with all the talking of how great he is. That cannot be good.
  18. Ons is likely kicking herself at the best chance she will get to win a slam anytime soon. I think Swiatek’s tourney was a minor burp, and even a head case Osaka will be back, toss in some stumbling blocks like Gauff, Anisimova, Collins, Pegula, Kenin, and even Sloan and Madison….(can’t believe I named so many Americans - but all of these can be solid stumbling blocks) along with Rogers - and there are all kinds of people that can get in the way of this trip again. I felt like Ons even played smart at times and just lost it. “If ifs and buts were candy and nuts oh what a party we’d have”
  19. I think as far as game goes, I've said before Anisimova = Mary Pierce. I think she's going to win a slam or two and has the potential to be better but it's - will she be able to temper down the 'all or nothin' every match, and I think has the potential to be more consistent than Pierce was. But - in her day and on the right day - Pierce really could blow anyone off the court, and she did. And Fritz is making this more of a match than I would have thought, had I not seen him play this tournament.
  20. I've said the same, but I was talking with family who are Tennis fans and mentioned - I feel like in John's instance at least as far as Tennis goes - my memories of him complaining were at least in regard to something valid or at least something that happened. I don't remember him concocting drama the way that Nick does. If John did, it was far more limited. Not the match after match after match scenario the way it is with Nick. And he didn't just say in press conferences that he didn't really care about playing well, he was just there for the entertainment. Honestly, anyone who behaves the way these two do/did on the court tells me that as far as verbal abuse goes, they were likely 100% masterful at it even in their personal relationships.
  21. Well not to speculate but I will. Just because. Sure would explain his 'good' behavior in the last round. Probably knew the story would break so he needed to look like the mannerly in-control dude rather than the usual short-fuse, bad tempered, anger-issues dude.
  22. I saw some of the Kyrgios match today - and I felt like I was listening to John McEnroe 5 years ago. He said something about Nick really concentrating and finally putting all of the complaining and antics to bed. Yawn, it's been said before any time he acts somewhat normal. I say just wait until the next round and 'it' will be back. I don't know if commentators don't remember things like this? But it's been said so many times in the past when he has somewhat of a 'normal' match.
  23. Clarence Thomas had it in his concurring opinion.
  24. So I'm a gay male. I have spent the last half hour crying. I do not know why, other than it pains me to see someone treated with less respect, and be treated truly not equal/unequal. I identify with it. And I see a group of people - Republicans in general - that somehow have the market cornered on what American means. And it disgusts me. I posted on Facebook about this decision. And said the Republican party completely disgusts me now. I already have 2 replies from people I knew in High School telling me that I'm gay - so my opinion doesn't matter because this doesn't even affect me. And to go *** my boyfriend. I didn't TAG anyone in my post, and both replied to MY post, and THEN TAGGED ME ON their page and started their OWN discussion with threats and disparaging comments. They 100% without prompting just CONFIRMED what I said in general about Republicans. It's what discrimination is. You know it's there. You KNOW it's there. And no matter how far we seem to progress, it always rears its head. I already KNEW how you felt, I just ignore it and hope I'm wrong. Well, I'm not wrong and they just proved it.
  25. I love just reading the board. Oh it's beyond suspending belief or disbelief with this show. All of the comments - for the same reason on B&B there's actually no one in Los Angeles, traffic is never a problem, dark lonely roads at night with glowering looks over cliffsides (with no one there but the person staring into the abyss), cousin whoever from Australia who sees someone beating someone down with a TIYUH_ ION but doesn't just lay down on the horn to stop it, or drive right up to them and break it up easily - instead takes a VID-YO from her phone of it, and on and on and on and on. Too funny. Or people proclaiming what they're going to do in order to BLOW their lives up completely - RIGHT TO the said person who is known to be dangerous - instead of just going to the police with the information....or people who CONSTANTLY TEXT but then suddenly cannot figure out how to TEXT or must TELL THE PERSON IMMEDIATELY instead of texting (for no reason).....keep the list going.
