You know, when I try to watch once in a while, I think I finally understand people's hatred of my love for Josh and Reva on Guiding Light. And the endless stories of them being with someone else, yet finding their way back to each other. But I will say this - I guess I was younger then and soaps still held a magic for me. But I also think - I just liked Robert Newman, Kim Zimmer, and I LIKED the other characters for the most part on Guiding Light. I still cared because I felt like, no matter HOW bad the writing, how bad the story....Robert and Kim could sell pretty much anything and make me believe and overlook really bad errors. I bought everything they sold. Ditto Jordan Clarke, Maeve Kincaid, Grant Aleksander, Michael O'Leary, Maureen Garrett, Michael Zaslow, and keep that train of a list going. I just LOVED the people and the characters. B&B just never has had that for me. For me, they just do not. And the cast can't carry this.

Off for Juneteenth - and caught the very end. Did Thomas see that shirt in a window and just had to have it? It was only missing the rod.

I have not watched - not even 5 minutes in the past probably - year. So I have no idea what's going on because I haven't read anything about it either I realized. But today - I tune in briefly - was this show without a Director? Sharon was being held by some guy, a girl (Faith? Aw, I like the other Faith unless this one has changed that much? Had no idea she was gone) - ANYWAY, Sharon held at gun or knifepoint with Faith got bombs strapped to her. Sharon bitin'guy to get away and successfully does. And Nick and Faith just stand there. There was no screamish, or happy that she bit him or stabbed him and got away....and he got shot. Did no one notice this? It was jarring and laughable - Nick and Faith standing there watching like....not in slow motion really, or.....I dunno? YO, NICK and FAITH can-I-get-a-reaction-outta-ya are ya thrilled Sharon is alive or not?

Should have had an indictment party - it's almost worth my sobriety. Just thought I'd say that. I love that by reports - he will be led through a tunnel. Good. Like the vermin he is.

Marco Rubio the talking asshat on CBS this morning. Going on and on about how = let the voters decide. What an utter. Complete. DUMBASS. And talking about it being "political". You know what, you dumbass? You better be GLAD it's political - because your party lost their MINDS over Hillary and it was perfectly FINE that investigation re-opened WEEKS before the election. YOU LOVED IT, YOU ASSHAT. Now, suddenly THIS one is political. Has it EVER occured to Republicans - that WHO CARES. SOMETHING IS BEING DONE FOR YOU. Because YOU did NOTHING. I live 1/2 mile from Trump National in Sterling, VA. It's been so smoky, odd smells this week with the fires and such. The latest scent though smelled kind of....back-side-related. Like all of Trump National took a big collective shi* or gave the most deadly of the farts - the Silent Murphy Fart. Fabulous.

I'm kind of sorry that it happened now for Trump. I hoped it would drag on well into the primaries so that he'd tear all of them apart. Now, there's too much recovery time for them. And I still hold to what I've always said - if we ever have a female as President, it will be Republican. A huge % of women do not really like strong women. They like stupid subservient ones. Like Palin. Like Haley.

Girl you're on it. I thought the same exact thing. Watch Saudi start tournaments for all ailing sports because - Oil. I've said for years that with electric technology in cars - they know their days are numbered. Not that if they ever paid ANY attention to their money - they'll never have to worry again - the upper crust anyway and oil families. But this is clearly their next grab - just take over the multi billion dollar sports industry - watch it happen. The PGA sucks for this but can you blame them? Look on the dude's face was regretful, sadness, and throwing in the towel. We've been beaten and you can't hide it. You can't beat money. Scary. Aside, someone remind me why the French was my favorite tournament? The days of Chrissie, Martina, Steffi and Monica - along with the people in-between that were powerhouses that spiced things up - like Capriati, Clijsters (loved her), Mary Pierce, and later the group led by the Williams sisters....it's all over. Maybe it has been and I hadn't noticed. But this has been a YAWNER. Where the hell have I been?

What I don't understand is that I hear this over and over and over from the Right. Do they believe elections have always been rigged - but only when they lose??? Republicans have lost at the ballot box many many times - it was just the electoral college that saved them. And it's the reason they fight tooth and nail against statehood for DC - because DC would then have 2 senators and at least 1 vote in the House. And they know what side the city sways. But Gore, Clinton (Hillary), Biden all WON in the number of votes/popular vote. Only on the 3rd example did Democrats actually WIN the Presidency because of the electoral college. People have blinders on and I don't know why - they don't understand that NO, every vote does NOT count under an electoral college system. If every vote counted, then those are 3 different Presidents we would have had. It's funny to me that they do NOT see the plain number of votes.

This is exactly what I do not understand. If you were a police officer wouldn't you be somewhat wary of the "ask" here?? Wouldn't you know - wait, what am I doing? What's my job here? Because I think I'm finished. But I do not think that happened. And see, this is why I'm sketchy with the police. They don't know they also have boundaries in MANY instances, and I feel like maybe he thought his status as a retired police meant - basic principles don't apply to me. Or, I don't need to worry about some basic due diligence because of who I am.

I've only read a little bit, but - I still don't exactly understand why he wouldn't be found guilty of at least harassment. (I actually don't understand most of it) - if I was working for someone, I guess it's possible to not really know who you work for? I guess if dirty money is paying you and you don't really know where the money came from? But you're happy to get paid so you wouldn't care? I guess I understand that. But what I don't understand is I've seen where he voluntarily gave advice and expertise on how to effectively harass someone, things to do to make them uncomfortable. Not any of my business but - I don't know how that make you a great investigator. There's a difference in doing an investigation and finding someone - as that's what you were tasked to do. Then once you've found the person - is that part of your job? To then harass them or basically stalk them? You found the dude or dude-ette, isn't your job done there? I feel like someone could totally see that line being crossed.

I haven't seen but - how much drama would there be that a plane is grounded in San Francisco and your destination was......LA???? That's like - 28 hours apart by plane right? So God, you could never DRIVE it. LOLLLLLL. And when I read about - any storyline with "influencers" or social media. Yawn. Admirable try but it just adds to the disbelief that you have to have to watch this show. Again, millions of followers and social media presence but.....no one knows them. It just doesn't work.

I kind of expected this after Roger retired. For years I think everyone expected - well, when Roger is retired, Rafa will be winning everything at that point. Or it will be Rafa and Djokovic winning it all for a few more years. I suspected when Roger went, the other 2 wouldn't have much left really. There really is no dominant force in either Men's or Women's now. I thought maybe Tennis was in a lull but honestly if things don't change? This could be a permanent downfall in the sport. I'm sure a group will come along but - near future? Tennis sucks. Everyone is on the Pickleball train and it wouldn't shock me to see them have their own version of slams within 5 years.

Yeah so I went at some of the defenders on Twitter. Their point being that - so what, she was a recruiter. The people were saying - she's a recruiter for Highly Cleared positions and people you idiots! They make about $50,000 per placement when you place a Highly Cleared person. You are so stupid!!! LOLLL - so - I have tons of friends who are recruiters, who place "highly cleared' people all the time. I'm in DC sweetykins. MY recruiting friends who do this ALL the time are not multi-millionaires and you do NOT get a set sum of money of $50K per position. And I just said, no - you would be wrong. They do get a % of someone's salary of their 1st year salary. But it's usually about 20% to 30%, even for highly cleared positions. If YOUR friends are in recruiting and get $50,000 a pop then - the only people they were placing have a salary of $250,000 minimum. I can just tell you - you know how many people in the Government or Contractors make $250,000+ ??? Not MANY I can promise you. Do the math. She was only placing IT Directors and ABOVE? There aren't that many of them chile.

Man after Marland the show went down fast. That's my memory anyway. The mid to late 90's were a vast wasteland of boring. That's what I remember. For that reason I despise the opening with the seasons, geese flying, tampon advertisement opening. I hate it. Because it matched how boring the show became and I remember trying to stick in and keep watching because for so many years there was consistency, and excitement. As an aside, is anyone following the husband of Martha Byrne case? I wanna say somethin'. I have to say it's a little disappointing to see posts on her page - and it's her giving updates, but she's doing conservative talk shows, which is fine to get the message out however you can. I guess. What's disappointing is how people immediately jump to blaming the current President - it's just sick. To my knowledge, it didn't happen during this Presidency, and what does that have to do with whatever happened with the husband - no matter WHO was President, and I think - stop making it political. Either be a Martha fan and focus on that but stop making it politicial. If you want to go that route I'd have a lot more to say, and I'd also say - you might want to do a little research and find out who you are working for. But, I probably shouldn't even say that because if you're working, you just want to get paid, and I don't know everything about it. Just sounds like the person who paid the person or something and is it our responsibility to always find out where money came from if ya got paid? Dunno. But, very political all of a sudden on her FB page.

So, I thought Hunt was nice too look at, and he was good at playing the bad guy. IMO he was good as Ben Warren but I never warmed up to him as Craig. Craig was always Scott Bryce for me. But damn I didn't know how badly Hunt cried. I missed this totally or - I did become a part time watcher at the time due to my work schedule, and not DVRing religiously. What's jarring is how--- even easy stuff here in the scene --- was there no Director? I fear there was a Director and this was a 10th try. LOL. My feedback would be - OK, if that's all ya got, then - do NOT go from bad cry to spoken word at the drop of a hat. He literally is supposed to be in the throes of grief and then, bam, "now that we have that out of the way..."...awful.

I've followed it somewhat, but basically to me - to boil it down. They're prosecuting him for kind of - not following the money that was paying him. He was hired to do a job as a private investigator. But someone paid someone who paid someone who paid him for doing a job. And it went back to some Chinese money for surveillance that was detrimental to national security. The accusation is something like that. But, to me, you're hired to do a job and only care if you get paid. He didn't break any laws in doing whatever he did - the things you do as a Private Investigator. So it's really a crappy situation. There are a ton of ins-outs and details but - it is something like the money paying him was dirty, and how would you even know? My guess - probably a Newsmax appearance because - that crowd will really warm up and take to 'overreach' by government types of topics and conspiracy theories.

Well I agree with one dimensional but I don't think the stories sound like they came from this board. I don't know where the stories sound like they came from. But - in regard to realism, of course we know it's a show, it's fiction. But the good shows/soaps had grounding in reality. Basing the series in a real city doesn't make it real. Not when someone with very little means constantly evades law enforcement, regularly gets away with murder, etc. Sheila is played out. So years ago, the character of James Stenbeck on World Turns kind of became a joke among the really upper crust of daytime. Because people said, oh ATWT just brings him back for sweeps, and it's not really a surprise. That always made me laugh, given some of these same people loved Stefano on DAYS and half the ludicrous explanations of "Stefano did it!" were becoming common. Opinions, well - James Stenbeck was never this played out. Never played out as Sheila. Neither was Roger on GL. When it comes to realism, shows like ATWT and AMC probably did it best. They figured out how to have the fun soapy stuff and still have real families with characters that had natural reactions and in general, reacted reasonably. These shows figured out how to weave in socially relevant stories with the fun stuff. I think Brad Bell is scared to death to do serious, and be consistent. Takes too much work. Here's an idea from this board - because going back to that - I think people's ideas on this board are far BETTER than anything they are coming up with. I know crazy things have to happen for people/actors to return to a show, comings and goings....but while I didn't love the character of Maya - she would be ripe for a return if B&B wanted to do something good. With all of the controversy over Trans people competing in sports and surgery (how early is too early, and noise being made by some people who regret doing it, others arguing it was the best thing they ever did), what if we found out Maya and Rick's baby (the one Nicole was surrogate with) - this would take time, but - re-introduce Rick and Maya (in real years, that was 2016 so the kid would be 7 this year. With SORAS - worse things have happened) - Maya returns from wherever she was, speaks of the baby - who is now 14, in boarding school. Would not take long to reintroduce the character as a fairly young 14/15 year old, and have her questioning her sexuality - putting Nicole and Maya in the middle. Maya, the person who raised her, all for pushing a possible surgery someday soon - with Nicole freaking out over it (or not? haven't thought about it). Nicole and bring in Julius - I can hear "you raising that child, you put your beliefs on that child, Maya". But here would be a way for the show to bring some history and characters back, and get the ball rolling again without the same faces over and over and over. Rick could return and begin the fight for Forrester again in the middle of all of that. The Avants return as supporting characters torn between Nicole and Maya again. Or, Maya and the child - since it's a daughter who wants to become a male, what if Maya did NOT understand that? Because she was the opposite. Tons of possibilities. Forgive some errors in history in the above because I really do watch part time, and these are things I remember from when I was trying to watch more regularly. But I think there are people on this board who are more capable. And sorry, I rambled, but I'm agreeing with you, hahaha. Mostly.

I only caught a bit of Hope laying into Brooke, and - I really have not liked Hope as played by Annika, but - she was pretty good. She's been a dishrag for so long, I feel like the few minutes I saw, she did really really well. Either hate or like her - she's not the problem I've seen with the show. The problem with the show is the ongoing "We've got her!" in regard to Sheila. So she goes to jail for 1 week, which will be 3 years in B&B time, or she knows and has slept with the whole penitentiary and is out in 3 days. Sheila stories are stale now and of no interest to me. Along with the huge eyeroll it takes to believe that the Forresters really are a famous family, and that Los Angeles has no real police force or - no one knows who they are. But everyone knows who they are. But no one does. If someone like Sheila did something like the things she has done to....the Kardashians....any random citizen would have tackled Shelia or tipped the police off as to her whereabouts. YEARS ago. As for the Taylor/Brooke stuff, I'm surprised from what I read - that they're still on the 'let's be friends' thing. It'll last like 5 more seconds before Brooke follows her va-jay jay again.

Well and as I read this, I say again - Los Angeles is a 4th world city. And since the police and FBI were involved, it's not like they have helicopters or anything advanced like that. It's just Los Angeles so they don't know how to apprehend people and have no means whatsoever, so it's very understandable. Cough. My God.

I missed it, what did she do - get up, dust herself off and drive away? While the sirens suddenly scream and they can't catch her (no one can) because she actually owns the Delorean from Back to the Future? Drives a car powered by nitroglycerin?

@dragonflies thanks for posting - I couldn't remember the character (there have been many to fall over "a" balcony - usually that one, but not always, but I have seen this several times on B&B. And I remembered that the "shoe" thing USUALLY - the shoe is usually missing. And they land in this position for sure). But let me say this - I did NOT actually remember it was this EXACT. So thank you.

She kept her shoe on though. That same fall usually causes the person to lose a shoe, which means she can run! I wonder if she'll be there when they look down? GASP! Shocking, she's GONE?! WHAT? HOW can this BE!?? What do you MEAN she's GONE? How can she just be GONE! Send out an APB! We need international coordination from Interpol! FBI, CIA, and Mossad! The authorities are ON the WAY! The talking on the phone too much with the person in the next room who you do not under any circumstance want to hear your very important conversation - but keep talking on said-phone anyway, over and over repeating the very thing that the person should never ever hear or they will jet, but you keep talking anyway....so that she hears. Then confrontation that you will NEVER. EVER. Do this to me. EVER. NOT EVER. You're going to JAIL BITCH! Etc. etc., looks for my nail file yawn. Along with LA again being a third world city in a 4th world country. Could take those FBI agents, CIA agents, State Police, City Police etc. - they're right there on STANDBY, but it could be 3 - 4 weeks before they arrive. But they'll be here ANY second.
