  1. People should be allowed to have negative opinions guys. I was thrilled to watch the promo. Soap scenes always look a certain way when watched out of context. Can't wait to watch the first episode. I think I am going to love the intro and the production values look really good. I can't say enough how happy I am for MVJ. Lets hope that the other soaps will wake up from their coma. GH is the only one still trying. PS: The "opening" (?) reminds me of ATWT's 2007 intro.
  2. Dex was the least of GH's problems. At least he was young and hot. Natalia, Sascha, Willow (and Sonny) should have left before him.
  3. Ron Hale (ex-Roger, RYAN'S HOPE) would have made an interesting Alan Spaulding.
  4. Scotty looks like he used to direct porn back in the day. I wouldn't mind a serious version of him, I hate it when veterans have to act like clowns, so that TPTB keep them around.
  5. I love Maxie and I am so happy for KS. She looks really good. I am willing to buy that Lulu runs around Port Charles carrying her tiny catheter, what I can't stand is Sonny sitting cosy in a courtroom watching a stupid trial, while he should be in prison for that agent's murder himself. Just NO to Gio being Brooklyn and Dante's son. First of all, NO to another Corinthos. And why give Tracy a grown great-grandson? Brooklyn is way too young for this story and this makes no sense at all. Why? For a random cute boy?
  6. She was the best. I adored her as Maeve. Thank you for the beautiful moments.
  7. Thank you for your anwer. It still makes no sense to me.
  8. What's the reason for Josslyn and Trina staying at the Q mansion? It makes no sense to me.
  9. At one point I wanted MO's Abby to become more like Kimberly Simm's Mindy Lewis. Have an affair with a married man, be more scandalous. I think that Bryton James should be the next to go on recurring. Devon is not that interesting and the Tucker McCall-Katherine Chancellor connection is so not Y&R.
  10. The lighting was good today. Watching the Ava with Ric and Molly with Kristina scenes felt different.
  11. TEXAS has to be the worst ever. A random episode with random characters. No big story, nothing. PASSIONS: I was horrified after the first five minutes. It was really bad, but I had no idea how bad it could get. SUNSET BEACH: Back in the day I thought it was ok. Being on NBC during the DAYS madness and with Spelling aesthetics that is. I am not that crazy about late 90s-early 00s soap trend of shows looking like porn without the sex scenes. PORT CHARLES: They brought familiar GH faces, started with a bang and the cast didn't look like porn stars. CITY: I wanted to watch because I still cared for the LOVING crowd. NY is the perfect setting for a soap opera. Didn't care for the camera work, but I loved the 90s vibe and aesthetics. GENERATIONS: It grabbed my attention. The show looked good, the stories were not that interesting for a premiere, but it had something. I wanted to see where they would go with it. The prominent black family was something new. B&B: I loved it. The fashion element was something new and I loved the Logan family dynamics from day one. SANTA BARBARA: I loved it. Interesting backstory and it felt like the primetime soaps I was obsessed with at the time. LOVING: I didn't really care for the movie's story, but I was fascinated by the characters and the Agnes Nixoxn vibe. CAPITOL: Another one I loved. It felt like a primetime soap, loved the older cast and the DC setting. It was really a show of its time. RYAN'S HOPE: I was hooked from day one with this New York bar owned by an Irish family. Kate Mulgrew was someone whom you wouldn't forget. It felt like a UK soap. Y&R: I loved the show's tone. The opening grabbed my attention. DARK SHADOWS: Obsessed from day one. It was unique and there was a story I wanted to follow.
  12. Thank you. I love that GH is giving us all these sets.
  13. What are the sets where we saw Trina and the new guy and Liz & Lucky talking?
  14. I don't like the UK soap model at all. This doesn't feel soapy to me. There is something very special about the American Soap model. It can feel like a play and it has a very specific atmosphere. 2013 OLTL and AMC gave the old model a fresh vibe, but they didn't really change it. I hated early Sunset Beach and I was not that crazy about The City either. Didn't AMC also try something "new" at some point? The thing is that the new look takes something away from the drama for me.
  15. Could the background music be part of the show's theme? I am so reading the entire thread all over again once the show premieres.
  16. This show is driving me crazy. So much time given to this stupid "Guess what, Sascha is Robert and Holly's daughter, have you fallen in love with her yet?" mess.
  17. As long as this thread doesn't become hateful, toxic and racist and people don't tell people what to post, we will all be fine.
  18. I have been following this thread since day one and you keep saying the same thing every few pages. And I haven't seen anyone do that.
  19. These comments from people more or less "demanding" in some way or another that people don't post about the white characters make me uncomfortable. First of all, there are like two or three actors on the show. And things like "don't start posting photos of the White Guy" sound really racist to me. I don't see the reason to bring this type of toxic and hateful energy in a thread where everyone is so happy about the new soap.
  20. Thank you . I have always found the blue collar characters more interesting.
  21. I just watched and you are so right.
  22. I'd love to see her join MySpace and make it a thing again.
