CM seems like a great guy, but he is such a boring soap actor.

The show had changed so much from its premiere and it had only been two years. TPTB should have tried to work a little longer with the original material.

They were crazy to write out Hope. There was so much story to tell. But she didn't fit in the loud and trashy GUIDING TEXAS era of the show.

Ed Bauer kind of got it during the Marland days. The scene where Kelly Nelson moves out of his house, was written and directed as break up scene. Both men were crying.

I think that the real problem with MC is that the actor who portrays his son looks more like a Prince Nicolas than he does. Another problem is that I don't buy him as Spencer's father at all. Spencer's arrival has weakened Nicolas.

What was the point of the Audrey North character? They hired Constance Towers for... that? Did something happen backstage?

I like the actress a lot, she is the only reason Britta has stayed with GH for so long. In a parallel soap universe, she would make a great Colleen on Y&R.

TPTB should be building the show around MM instead of playing tired Newman wars scenarios or treating their middle-aged characters like passionate 25-year-old people.

The Sheila joke has gone way too far.

It is crazy that Quinn lasted almost ten years. What is the character's legacy? At this point Brad Bell is too bored to create new characters.

At this point (some of) the Newmans could use a rest on Y&R. They have been going through the same stories forever. Nick and his boring ladies drama, Victoria and Sharon getting married all the time, Adam is so bad, Abby and Noah haven't even found a real purpose in all these years.

No to Giddens, being a soap fan is not good enough for a show in danger. He doesn't even how to name characters, people on Ambitions had names like Jeffersona Williamsen McAlistair. He will be like a cheap version of RC.

Please, no Dylan. The character was a stupid mistake created as a vehicle for Steve Burton. This is not the way to celebrate Y&R's rich history. I'd rather see TSJ (whom I like a lot) as Brooks Prentiss, or as a brand new character (who will not marry Sharon and/or Victoria and vanish within a year).

I will say the same thing I say everytime a name actor joins the show: BROOKS PRENTISS!!! (When it is a name actress, I say Jennifer Foster like all normal people)

ALL STARS 2 I loved this season! Dorinda is such a mess. This is what early 70s Kay Chancellor must have been like. Such a mean, classless drunk. Men with money married that thing? Wow. She really belongs in the gutter (next to Marlo). I can't believe I am saying this, but I liked Brandi. After years of hating her for the way she acted with LVP. If I didn't know Phaedra from RHOA I would have liked her newly invented persona a lot. Production made sure everyone who watched All Stars knew who she really was in the last episode.

70s soap opera episodes have aged so well! I wish that era's OLTL was available. I find it far more interesting than the Buchanan 80s.

I would be shocked if Y&R doesn't get a new EP and HW (one can only hope with some minor changes / the Athletic Club is mentioned again / Diane's return / Imani gets some story / among others ) Days needs a new EP more than it needs a new HW.

Poor Drew is so desperate. And a horrible actress as well, she is all wrong for reality tv. Unless she is caught off guard, like with the gay rumors. She tried to have a Love & Hip Hop moment with She, but she failed. The other ladies gently reminded her that at this point she only gets to play the loser's role in the group. Atlanta is fun for now, reminds me of early seasons and NY.

So Kristen was the Lauralee of the family and Ridge was the Brad. Too bad that they didn't keep the fashion magazine stories longer. Caroline was a Stephanie in the making with Brooke being her Beth. I am obsessed with early B&B. Margo should have stayed longer and Brooke's first baby should have been Ridge's with her marrying Thorne in order to raise the child as a Forrester. Margo should have been Mrs. Eric Forrester.

Eric was also ruined by Brad. I have never seen another soap patriarch treated like this. What is next? He ends up marrying a pornstar? Thank God we never got to see the Lolita storyline. Sophisticated Stephanie became a mean Sally Spectra who believed that she was Stefano Dimera. The less said about Brooke the better.

Why did Diane buy Keemo's apartment and feel the need to meet with Allie?

I think that 1989 was way too soon for the show to give up on the "normal" characters. Beth was replaced by Sally, Macy took over from the Logan girls. From one point I understand that Bill Bell wanted to move the show to the 90s, focus on the fashion world and the rich LA people.But B&B lost something (its heart?) when it became all about the Forresters.

Are you talking about the Beacon? I had no idea. Didn't someone live in the lighthouse at some point? Rauch's was the one with the cheap lighthouse graphics.

Conboy ruined everything good that Taggart and Culliton did. Too bad that they didn't get a chance to stay longer. I have to say that his opening (while it was not that good) it was much better than Rauch's 2002 one.

I liked the way both ATWT and GL looked during Robert Calhoun's time. Can it get worse than Days cartoon-like freeze frames?
