  1. It is insane that such an important part of the Bauer-Spaulding history was lost between regimes. I don't think that the two families were supposed to be neighbors throughout the years.
  2. This cheap, horrible intro needs to go. At this point, I would be happy with the last seconds of this iconic intro as the opening. Something classy for a change.
  3. Michael Easton returns as Tanner. He is a doctor now. Eventually we find out that he has used many different names in different cities. He is Stefano and Laura's son! No wait, he is Doug and Susan's son! Susan returns played by an Asian actress! Now he wants to kill John. Wait, he is John's brother! He sleeps with Ava, Nicole, Chloe. They all have his babies. He is murdered. He has an evil twin. Wait, the twin is th nice one. He ends up in prison. Yep, I could see him returning to Days.
  4. I thought the same thing. If I remember correctly, several posters used to call him "The Writer" because of that, back in the day. The Kate-Abe soap is something that has the possibility to be interesting. But Ron does not enjoy writing for Days, I don't expect anything interesting to come out of it.
  5. I remember his name appearing in the credits of an 1983 or 1984 episode. When I watched, I had no idea that the doctor was someone we were supposed to know.
  6. I loved the first music theme and I would be fine with the drawing of a a couple in the intro (the last seconds of the second opening).
  7. Currently watching Fall 1977 episodes. I can't believe that Mary grew up in a house with two sisters. Sometimes I find KM's acting annoying, sometimes it feels like an acting exercise. I will be sorry to see Frank 2 go. He seems a fun guy (now that Delia has sucked all life out of Pat) and is great with friends, family and kids. Rae has just shown up. I couldn't care less about her story. And the madness of her treating the hospital as a hotel, having a decorated room, choosing Frank to help her. I'd rather watch more Ryan family scenes. Roger is one of my favorite characters and I could watch Maeve all day long. BTW the sets are great. Characters like Jambo and Kevin make this show so unique.
  8. Can't wait to hear your thoughts. I am currently watching 1977 episodes and I am obsessed with this show.
  9. Call me crazy, but I thought that she would turn out to be Beth.
  10. Why does Brad Bell even bother with the teen stories? The last interesting group were Rick, Bridget, Amber and CJ. Did RJ ever get an interesting story while he is here?
  11. With PM gone, they can tell the Morgan story they wanted to.
  12. Bridget Reardon was in some ways the Sami Brady prototype. I think Conboy wanted her as Myrna Claig on Capitol. Since I didn't care at all about 80s GL, I wish that she had returned to AW as Iris.
  13. I certainly wouldn't want her as Morgan. She might have been interesting as a frigid Amanda. The thing is that I don't see Marcy Walker fitting in 1993 GL at all. It was a stupid JFP idea and another stunt casting disaster. Perhaps she could have been Holly's niece Emily, creating a Norris women group with them and Blake. But I don't really see it.
  14. I always wanted Morgan to return, along with Amanda and Jennifer. I could see a successful Morgan recast becoming "Annie" in Josh and Reva's life.
  15. I was obsessed with this song back in the day 🥰
  16. Were there really only a few? The TEON cast might disagree.
  17. This is so out of the closet though Contessa. Most of the people we are talking about, did theater too. Everyone in the theater community knew and over there they had to deal with a different, sometimes more mature and sophisticated audience. Soap press was something completely different. Heck, even Billy Haines was not in the closet back in the day. He was comfortable living his life around friends and co-workers almost 100 ago. So this thread is more or less about gay and lesbian people on soaps. And I should stop talking talking before this thread is closed down.
  18. Oh, this sounds awful and nothing like the beautiful 70s soap that I was thinking about.
  19. What is not ok you calling me nuts though. I would expect someone who has been called that word a lot around here, not to use it to a person who has always been supportive.
  20. I just think that judging people from the past by today's standards and rules is one of our society's biggest problems. They did just fine. PS: Not all viewers are people at the mall. I know that I wouldn't run to a soap actor for any reason. And the HW knows who is gay and who is not. So what closet lol. Who cares about the mall closet. And trust me, gay kids got a lot of strength from the "closeted" people. They could smell them from far and adore them. That's ok, we have different opinions Contessa. Take care 🤩
  21. Has anyone heard of "All in The Name of Love"?
  22. Why would I not again after the first episode? - Only if it was not shot like a daytime soap. I don't want a daily series, I want a soap opera. That's the reason I can't stand international soaps, they don't look soapy. Even if it ends up being something like Ambitions or new Dynasty, I will try to give the show a chance. But I really need a real soap lol.
  23. Sharing your personal life with random strangers who want to marry you is not being in the closet. If everybody in your life knows, who cares about the people who watch a soap opera (which was not the actor's real life btw)? It is like visiting an aunt you don't really care about and she keeps asking you about your personal life. We are the annoying aunt. That's the reason I believe we are unfair to these people.
