  1. Thank you, I still think of him as Michael Sharpe from Falcon Crest lol.
  2. I don't remember these girls at all. I also didn't remember the people with Mike, at first I thought that the woman was a recast Noreen, or a love interest I had forgotten. Roya's Ava and Kate were everything for me. I watch soaps for characters like this. Clay/Alex's arrival made things worse for me. I didn't care for the casting and Ava should have had years of story with Curtis, Jack and Stacey. They abandonded that group way too soon.
  3. I adore Geraldine Court, but I loved Shannon Eubanks's regal Ann lol.
  4. Thank you so much, I haven't seen these episodes since the time they were shown in Greece 35 years ago. Some thoughts: - Roya is as dynamic as I remembered her. She was always great with Nada Rowland as Kate. - I always liked Pamela Blar as Rita Mae. - I found the Aldens rather... boring. They felt like a poor man's Carrington. Christine Tudor was great, Susan Keith was interesting and that is it. Way too many rich people. Dane seemed like a cartoon villain, always plotting. - Steve and Trisha, a generic teen couple of that era. - Tony and Stacey in the college setting, far more interesting. BTW was Loving was always a well produced show.
  5. I read that TPTB didn't want actors who were on another soap shortly before Loving. New Morgan was indeed very bland, another generic blonde girl.
  6. Kelly/Morgan/Josh could become the Scotty/Laura/Luke version he never got to write. With Luke dying at the end if I remember correctly. Marland loved Geraldine Court, he even wanted her as Ann on Loving. In some ways Jennifer was a Lucinda type, but I suspect that he would want her to marry Mike and make them the couple Bob & Kim became on ATWT. I doubt Don Stewart would want such a thing though.
  7. Can you imagine the writers having a meeting and discussing ideas? Hey, how about Eric seducing Steffy? BTW do we know where Sheila's missing toe is? Why don't we bring an evil twin for the Hope sex doll? I am so mad that GL and ATWT got cancelled and this trash still airs.
  8. And "Jac" was modern day Helen Gallagher, right? Or her arrival was similar to Joan Collins on Dynasty and Heather Locklear on Melrose Place? Please.
  9. I meant that I didn't mention you in my original post Contessa. Since English is not my first language, I looked activism up. I doubt saving Donna from a serial killer on AW has anything to do with it. BTW I am sure everyone is fed up with us by now. activism /ˈaktɪvɪz(ə)m/ noun the policy or action of using vigorous campaigning to bring about political or social change.
  10. Michael Easton and several others like Michael Harrison, Michael E. Knight, James Patrick Stuart?
  11. I still cannot guess what Marland's plans for Carrie were. Was she supposed to stay around? Was her son supposed to play a part in the story? Was she supposed to go after one or two years? I also wonder about Kelly and Morgan, as well as Jennifer. I doubt that they would be written out so quickly.
  12. But the lesbian was not the only one to go, right?
  13. I never mentioned you in my post and I don't believe there is such thing as soap activism. I don't even know what this is supposed to mean. That's ok. But your experiences having nothing to do with my post, I was talking about the Mansi tweet. It's all good Contessa.
  14. I don't see soaps as a crussade. I love SON because the posters are smart and have discussions on a different basis. Sometimes I read old threads, almost like a book. I was very specific in my comment about crazed fans who obsess over couples and demand to write the show themselves. Think GL and ATWT. The GH lesbians were not even as important as the P&G "supercouples". How do you know that they are not recasting or bringing a new girl for Kristina? The real issue is that they are keeping a character nobody likes because they are obsessed with name actresses and desperate for a new Sonny pairing. Which is stupid. Watching soaps is a totally different experience for you than it is for me. And that's ok.
  15. Same here. I am just happy to see her.
  16. Poor Kate Mansi has to deal with the crazies now. These weird, creepy people who think they know everything about someone's working place and have ruined soaps in the past because they were obsessing with couples and demanded to write the show themselves. Not again. Not over "Jac".
  17. Thank you so much. It is quite obvious that the show has no idea how to use the iconic set in an organic way. I never bought Chloe as Kate Valentine, but I always liked Elizabeth Hendrickson. I guess the show has no significant use for her, with Chelsea and Sally playing similar characters.
  18. (Does this mean that Betty and her two daughters have already been cast?)
  19. Sounds very interesting. I really want this show to be successful and force the other CBS soaps to wake up.
  20. Quinton and Nola were fun, but the 80s were obsessed with supercouples and their stories become boring rather quickly. Nola was way too fascinating as the antagonist and they ended it way too soon. Who wrote the "Quinton is Henry's son" story? I think it took a lot away from him, along with the Sean Ryan story.
  21. I love the Allen Potter years. Is this veranda set part of the Spaulding mansion we know? It was lovely.
  22. Is the Chancellor set still used? Are Kevin and Chloe still around? Someone needs to SORAS some of the Y&R kids, the show needs some new blood.
  23. I like TJ and (this) Molly. They are the normal couple the show desperately needs.
