  1. It seems Sony/CBS has declared a détente with VR, bringing her back for the KSJ tribute and the 50th anniversary event, yet the Dru erasure continues. Maybe they think it’s ancient history 16 years after her departure or they’re so used to excluding her or believe that it’s a distraction from honoring Neil (which would be stupid—she was the love of his life). They’ve essentially Keemo’d her, mentioning her every once in a while. Yet Dru obviously had far more significance to Y&R than Keemo, which makes how she’s handled more glaring. Maybe they feel no one cares, which would partially be a self-fulfilling prophecy.
  2. It rises and falls with the S&P 500. 📈
  3. Y’all ain’t ready for this. Hey Big Spender! @Soapsuds @AbcNbc247
  4. Just doesn’t feel real to me. It’s been a long time since a soap performer’s death hit me like this, perhaps because, as people have said, Bobbie still felt like such a vital presence on the show, and there was no indication that JZ had been suffering. Maybe Benjamin Hendrickson was the last time I was this floored by an actor’s passing.
  5. @Cheap21 @Taoboi @DaytimeFan @Cat @NothinButAttitude REUNION TRAILER @carolineg @DynamiteKiddo
  6. His account is wonderful. It’s an unfortunate coincidence that he randomly posts a clip of someone just days or even the day before they pass unexpectedly (it happened with Jerry ver Dorn and Liz Hubbard and just happened with JZ and someone else recently I believe).
  7. I was going to say earlier that she’s one of the last of that kind. Those types of characters drew me into soaps (Nancy Curlee’s GL had so many of them with Vanessa, Holly, Maureen, Nadine, et al). Working mothers who balanced family drama, career, romance, etc. In the past 25 years, those characters have become eternal teenagers (like LW’s Carly), complete raging hot messes, targets of abuse from their kids (Felicia), or gargoyles like Hogan Sheffer’s Barbara on ATWT. Bobbie was so grounded and relatable in the ‘90s. Soaps now longer valued those characters starting somewhere in the late ‘90s.
  8. Because we need a laugh right now with all of the depressing news:
  9. Guilherme from Brazil 🇧🇷
  10. “Short battle with cancer.” Like Lisa Brown and so many others. I can’t wait for better treatments for this horrible disease.
  11. Alan Sarapa raises a good point that they’ll need to put off their tribute to JZ/Bobbie until after the WGA strike (which hopefully isn’t too prolonged and doesn’t end up snowballing to include DGA/SAG). But they do need to get it right. GH has done some wonderful tributes (John Reilly, Sonya Eddy), so I have faith they’ll do right by her. I think Tony Geary would absolutely return for it in some capacity. Jackie’s State of Mind episode with Kin Shriner might be worth a rewatch. Maurice can be a bit much but he does elicit some good stories:
  12. This hurts. Bobbie was one of those characters I felt a kinship with. She’s probably the reason why I gave up GL and started watching GH in the ‘90s. And JZ did some of the finest acting I’ve ever seen on soaps or anywhere else:
  13. Wow. My stomach feels sick about this.
  14. Touch this, touch all of this, henny. @Gray Bunny @Taoboi
  15. Groff must be bulking. Ncuti looks great.
  16. Samuel from Brazil 🇧🇷
