ABC has had success (at least in DVR/streaming) with Big Sky this season, so I wondering if they’re going for a vibe that’s as dark as that. I can’t imagine that going over well with longtime AMC viewers. (Fox’s Star certainly had a dark vibe—having an 80-year-old woman brutally raped, etc.)

That episode is powerful. Aside from tributes to characters whose real-life performers have passed away, American soaps haven’t treated death so powerfully in many, many years. I think JJ on DAYS would have been a great story touching on this subject. Not in the context of the racially biased police shooting story, however. Didn’t need him becoming a martyr.

Henry Kissinger is almost 100, and Jim Baker will be 91 in a couple of months.

And Victoria is stuck in the Billy vortex and on the Newman Enterprises merry-go-round. They need some completely new dynamics.

The Newman kids all feel pretty stuck right now. They need to really rethink that part of the canvas because it’s not working (and hasn’t in many, many years IMO).
