  1. Another ball. Not as fun as the last couple posted, but I think this is what AMC did to celebrate the 30th anniversary:
  2. Someone uploaded the "Wildwind Ball" another event with a lot of AMC characters dressed up
  3. You can add me to that list (sorry!). RB as Greenlee just came across as too brittle in her bitterness and lacked that joie de vivre that Erica possessed. Then again I wasn't a fan of Minshew either. I did like SMG as Kendall.
  4. Doug Marland's Original plans for Luke and Laura: An excerpt from a 1982 interview in the St. Petersburg Times: "I never would have had Luke rape Laura. My idea for that story was to have Luke worship Laura from afar. I planned for him to get into deeper and deeper trouble with the syndicate and try and try to get away from them. His reason to escape the mob: his love of Laura and his desire for her. And in the end, no matter what Luke had done for Laura---all the money he had given her, all the trouble he had gotten into [on] her behalf---she never would have loved him. I adored the character of Laura, but she was vain. Vanity was a big part of Laura's personality. Luke and Laura never would have gotten together in my storyline. I had other things in mind for Luke."

  7. We Love Soaps: You left ALL MY CHILDREN the first time in 1984. Why did you leave? Taylor Miller: They kept on repeating the same storyline over and over again. I likened it to being in pantyhose that were too small. I don't know if you've ever had that experience. We Love Soaps: No! [Laughs] Taylor Miller: I wanted and needed to play somebody different, somebody new. I went out to Hollywood and in the ten months I was there I did a nighttime guest spot, a commercial and a play. I guess that was a pretty good. Then I had the job offer to go to ANOTHER WORLD. I just wanted to play somebody different. http://www.welovesoaps.net/2009/12/catching-up-with-taylor-miller-part-two.html
  8. I think part of the transformation might have been due to the writers wanting Natalie to be juxtaposed to Janet.
  9. Here's the red headed Nina:
  10. Foxys' was still around in 1993?
  11. Thanks again. Its strange seeing another Tad. I've only seen the clip from one of the flashback episodes where they bake cookies with gram and Ruth. Did Phil come back at this time? Another good cliffhanger -- now this is how you do sweeps. Its interesting to see Brooke as the naive inguene as opposed to the older career woman she was later. I also kind of like Sybil, shes pretty funny woundering around the house like that. Unfortunately AMC had trouble finding a suitable new love interest for Brooke in the 90s aside from Edmund. The ones they tried to pair her with Jackson, Dimitri, Piece etc she didn't have much chemistry with.
  12. Speaking of Michael Brainard, does anyone know when and why Joey switched his name to Jake? I wasn't a fan of Lowry either, though I liked J. Eddie Peck (the only time Greenlee was tolerable, IMO).
  13. Just finished watching the 1980 episode. Phoebe looked great. I did not realize Edna was on the show already by this point. And Brooke's voice sounds different, higher. Which Tara was this and why is Phoebe so snippy at her? I always thought the actress who played Myra was underrated, she had such expressive eyes and could really bring the whole gothic vibe, which is probably why the cast her in the Dark Shadows remake. There's a community feel with lots of various interaction and relationships that we don't really see anymore on soaps. Palmer and Cliff pointing out Daisy's scarf was a great cliffhanger.
  14. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I'm interested! Thanks so much for uploading!

  16. Re; Nina and Cliff. Nina was brought back in 1986 for Peter Bergman's exit as they both left the show shortly after their wedding. Didn't last long though as Nina came back and Cliff was presumed dead. Edited: Found the clip from Jan 1987 when they leave for Hong Kong :
