All I can say is, I really hope those viewers who get ABC on a Sinclair- or Nexstar-owned affiliate really love those "Gomer Pyle" reruns.

In retrospect, "Magnum"'s collapse wasn't a total surprise when you realize how much more sophisticated one-hour dramas were becoming on primetime TV. Even in the mid-'80's, it probably looked like a quaint, old relic next to shows like "Hill Street Blues" and "St. Elsewhere." And I know Tom Selleck talks a great deal in his memoir about making the scripts on his show "go deeper," but let's be honest, Donald Bellisario's shows have never been all that deep, lol.

For me, it's really tough to judge Pam Long's work on OLTL, just because her time was so short and there was clearly interference (if not from JFP, then from ABCD for sure).

I've always felt that Jane Elliot should have returned at some point - if not as Judy, then as a new character, one who could've gone toe-to-toe with Donna Mills and William Devane.

I can just imagine the looks on the rest of the industry's faces as MSW and GG started tearing up the charts, lol.

Y'all have NO idea how much "Love is All Around" has meant to me over the years. Every time I hear it, I feel like I'm home. RIP Mr. Curtis, and thank you.

I still remember that morning, getting dressed to attend my morning classes where I was earning my undergrad degree at the time, and Mama Khan coming in my room to tell me that someone had flown a plane into the WTC and that "the guy who played Frasier" was among those killed. (Of course, she misheard that last part. It wasn't Kelsey Grammer who was killed but one of his show's co-creators and EP's, David Angell).

"Great," I said, when I heard the news, "just what the right-wing needed: a g*ddamn martyr." I, too, am not shedding any tears over his assassination. I'm not even sure whether I can muster any sympathy for his loved ones, because it's clear something or someone made him who and what he was. I mean, you don't learn to hate as many as he did on your own; you have to be perfectly taught. If I'm sorry for anyone, it's for those who will suffer because of the right-wing's need for retribution. If those of us who'd been marginalized by their agendas weren't in peril before....!

Yeah, I don't blame KZ for GL's cancellation. That show was in danger long before she returned. As others have said, though, it's a miracle that it lingered on for as long as it did before somebody remembered to cancel it.

It amazes me how Clint and Lisa Hartman Black have managed to stay together for so long in an industry where long-lasting relationships are anathema (sp?).

Too bad they couldn't get Robert Vaughn to join when his former co-star, David McCallum, was on as that Maurice Vermeil character, lol.

I wasn't so much sad to see Gabrielle go as I was sad to see how she written out. I mean, wasn't she strangled next to a toilet or something?

Lisa Brown and Michael Tylo's return to GL. The minute I heard that Quint had cheated on Nola, I knew they were doomed.
