  1. I'm not sure I'd want to know Miller/Boyett's ideas on anything, but especially on opening credits. Theirs make an unfortunate case of banishing the practice of producing opening credits altogether.
  2. Agree. Bill Bell's style was (and is) too hard to duplicate. Even Kay Alden, the person who's still alive and knows Y&R the best, had a different approach.
  3. Jeremy Licht's character was a nerd who could pop and lock? That's rare! This isn't the proper thread to mention it, but Maria Pitillo (ex-Nancy Don Lewis, RH) is the blonde girl in the Chic commercial.
  4. Agree, lol. It's unfortunate the GOP has staged another, successful hit on a Democrat's career. But, like I said before, Northam made the situation worse by backing down from his earlier apology. He should have simply apologized for the photos, emphasized that he was a changed man who disavows all forms of racism, and then left it at that.
  5. My guess: Comey plans to run for political office down the road.
  6. I'm also loaded with references to "The Jeffersons," but those clips are harder to come by.
  7. Lawd Jesus! Just resign!
  8. I'd be like Sweet Daddy Williams' number-one lady, Miss Savannah Jones, on "Good Times":
  9. Ah, okay. I just skipped to the part where he pulled an Ike Turner. Thanks, Faulkner!
  10. That IS great news! I hope you can find a way to convert those tapes and then upload them! I'm DYING to see some '70s Y&R -- and since CBS/Sony/Bell won't do the decent thing and make their libraries of Y&R and DAYS available, this will be the next best thing!
  11. Was Alan supposed to be drunk in that scene?
  12. In contradicting himself, Northam has basically made a bad situation even worse. I'm afraid he has no choice at this point but to resign.
  13. It's like we're trapped inside some alternate universe ATWT, where Gail was a major player in Oakdale for decades. Meanwhile, I'm like Squeak in "The Color Purple," going, "Harpo! Who dis woman?".
  14. Too bad, though, Brad Bell can't seem to tell more than one story within those 30 (or 19) minutes.
  15. March 23, 1987. (God bless Eric Braeden Bill Bell, but I think there were issues with his last creation from day one.)
  16. "One night, when I was at some disco, out of my mind on coke, someone said to me, 'Schuyler Whitney, you are SKY high!'. The rest is history."
  17. Yep, that's Alice with the raggedy mouth.
  18. Don't just take our word for it, Hillary B(ailey) Smith thinks it's crazy as well!
  19. There's only one way to respond to that shocking twist: (Apparently, Margo can't quite believe it either.)
  20. Re: Glenn Close -- I hate to say it, because it echoes the last presidential election, but...it's her time.
  21. I don't know what to say about Jussie's attack either. Yes, it was awful to read about; but, in this day and age, when you have a president who emboldens citizens to commit those and other atrocities, should we really be surprised when something like that occurs?
  22. Or science. Or logic. Or even UFO's (which is weird, when you think about who we're talking about).
  23. ICAM. At this point, I think disclaimers and factoids should accompany any public statements made by Trump. Sort of like Garrett Morris' "News for the Hard of Hearing" character from SNL, or "Angry Obama" from "Key & Peele."
  24. No wonder NCIS: NOLA has been a chore to watch from day one.
  25. That angers me as well. I'm really starting to loathe the press.
