  1. Once again, the media's distracted by the shiny toy that is Howard Schultz -- whose teasing of a presidential run might not amount to anything more than simple talk in the long run -- instead of focusing on REAL crises happening both at home and abroad. We're gonna end up with four more years of Trump, because the media just won't learn that none of this is supposed to be a game. I just know it.
  2. Before you know it, it'll cost just as much to stream all your favorite shows as it does to subscribe to cable or satellite dish, if not more.
  3. Yeah, and I've heard rumors about Donna Mills, too. Actually, I've heard rumors suggesting she, Jane Elliot, Dee Hall and Leslie Charleson are all members in some weird soap actress lesbian cult, but that's beside the issue.
  4. Go home, Tom. You're drunk.
  5. Thank you, thank you, a thousand times thank you! I've been saying the same, damn thing forever!
  6. As a picnic basket, lol. According to one rumor, JC and Ellen Weston were and are gay, but served as each other's "beard."
  7. Like I said, I think it would have been better in retrospect (especially once Laurie Caso was made aware of her previous role) to have Glynnis O'Connor return in her original role and find someone else to portray Margo. I mean, I was okay with O'Connor as Ellen Dolan's replacement, but I can see now why others were resistant toward her. Weren't there rumors about Nancy Lee Grahn being approached to replace Dolan?
  8. I always thought it was due to L&O and its' spinoffs still running on 430 channels (cable & OTA) everyday.
  9. Oooh, wouldn't it be wild if it were a secret medical diagnosis? I don't think he'd want the world to know he is really suffering from Alzheimer's or some other form of dementia (even though most rational people have guessed already that he is).
  10. I still tend to think it's not Trump himself that Putin has dirt on, but possibly Ivanka (and/or Jared), or even one of his sons by Ivana. (Tiffany, OTOH, can go for what she knows, lol.)
  11. IA. I'm not popping any champagne corks just yet. A lot could happen in three weeks. But I'm glad federal workers no longer have to be furloughed or work without pay (for now).
  12. Trump would have to give up a whole lot of hamberders and fries before he could fit through one of 'em.
  13. Meanwhile, Mama Khan, along with everyone else who listens to all the kooks on YT, says they finally have enough evidence that Hillary is a pedophile and that the authorities are going to arrest her "any day now." If you really want proof that SNL isn't as good as it used to be, look no further than Dan Crenshaw and Donald Trump's appearances on the show. No way in hell would the original "Not Ready" crew have given them airtime, much less made them look all cute and cuddly. I must say I, too, love how this looks like an episode of "C.S.I." or "Criminal Minds," with FBI agents (in flap jackets, no less) storming his residence in the dead of night like they are about to do a raid on a drug cartel.
  14. I had heard stories about Singer way the hell back in 2002, when I was living in the L.A. area and doing an internship with a talent management firm in Beverly Hills.
  15. Trust me, Lara, it's more than "a little bit of pain" for those people (and their families). When your mortgage is past due, and the creditors are calling your house day and night, and your babies are hungry and need to see their pediatrician and/or obtain medicine because they're sick, you can't make all that disappear just by holding hands and singing "C'mon, Get Happy." But...I guess that's rich, white folks for you.
  16. The exact same thing happened on an episode of "Law & Order," lol.
  17. I've seen only one scene from the Suzanne Lynch story and even that scene was one big WTH? for me. (Kay stabbed Suzanne to death, but not really? Or something like that. Anyway, it was weird.)
  18. Yeah, both Steve and Ann needed to pay for their sins against Carolee: Ann, with a one-way ticket out of Madison (which is in the mail at this point); and Steve, with a lengthy, tortured road toward reconciliation with Carolee. It breaks my heart to see how Marland fumbled on this show. Thank God GH allowed him to redeem himself.
  19. Well, it even says so in the Bible: "If you have done unto the least of these, you have done unto me." Now, you can't proclaim this nation to be a Christian nation, and then not provide for our poor. Otherwise, you are a hypocrite. AND GOD ABHORS A HYPOCRITE.
  20. I can't say that I have a favorite Scott, because I don't think the character was ever used well, regardless of who was portraying him at the time. Maybe the little kid who was the first to play him? But even that's a stretch. IMO, that's how he is in all his roles. People who've worked with him have talked about how charming he is offscreen, but I've yet to see it. It's as if the charisma drains from his body the moment the cameras are turned on and the director says, "Action." JPS: I was just finding the character and they killed me off. I'm confused. I thought it was his choice to leave, not the show's. Was I wrong all this time?
  21. Well, if she had just kept her [!@#$%^&*] clean....
  22. I wouldn't say he shouldn't have been on soaps. I think he did a great job on AMC as Sam Brady, and he had terrific chemistry with Dorothy Lyman. But, I also think you're right about him being no Tom Hughes. In retrospect, I wonder whether she would have been more successful coming back as Dee Stewart, the role she had played at some point during the early-'70's.
  23. And in a corner somewhere, Jason Kincaid and Glynnis O'Connor continue to weep.
  24. Oh, how I wish Mitch McConnell would go away.
  25. So, no love for David Cherrill, Peter Galman or Tom Tammi, then? For me, the ideal Tom and Margo were Colin and Deas, with Marx and HBS being a very close second.
